Hi Betsy!

You and your dd look sweet!

Pop tart sized pizza, huh?
I appreciate the diet food industry trying to teach me portion control, but I can't help feel deprived in the pizza dept.

I always wonder if a person bought ww meals and lean cuisine type meals and also added fruit and veggies and dairy if it would be the same as Nutri System

I DO add a nice green salad too...instead of the bread sticks of another time.

My son Riley's baptism Day tomorrow!!!! BIG day for him!
We're having a ice cream sundae party after. So I bought a teeny tiny portion controlled (for Barbie dolls) WW mint looking desert. Got some fat free whipped topping so I can feel special too!

So I won't be around much until the afternoon...

Aw, thanks! My daughter's pretty sweet, but she is starting to show her independence and can have a temper.

You can definitely do Nutrisystem on your own. There's a great website (not sure if I can post it here - if anyone wants the address, PM me) that basically tells you which food is comparable to Nutrisystems and tells you the nutrition stats you need to basically do it on your own. I'm planning on doing this for maintenance once I get to my goal weight. Will really save me $$$.

Hope you have a great time at your son's baptism! Sounds like you picked a nice treat to celebrate.

Don't forget to PM DizneyDawn, y'all! Geez, I hope we won! I was hungry this week!

Tell Riley we said CONGRATS on the big day! I'll be breathing the Utah air tomorrow as well! WISH I could visit, but next time for sure!

Good idea punkin on the doctoring of the pizza. :thumbsup2

I also like the margarita (sp?) pizza.

I ate home made (not by me) tomales. One chicken and one pork. VERY good and very filling. Not too spicy for this white girl.

Enjoy the baptism today!

Sometimes if I am in the mood for pizza I just have a regular slice. A regular slice of pizza at the pizza parlor is 9 points and tastes great. I think the WW ones range from 5 to 8 poins for a extra couple of points once in awhile i rather have the real deal.

I do agree that the lean cuisine pizzas are alot better than ww ones.

Speaking of frozen pizzas, I *love* the Kashi mediterranean flavor. OMG. YUMMY!

Here, I'll put a link to my latest ultrasound pic:

Congratulations on the pic, and I too have tried the Kashi pizzas, very good.

Congrats to your son!

I've had those WW desserts before, they're not bad, though I prefer the cookie dough one.

All this pizza talk made me hungry for pizza! I prefer to use my calories for the real deal too. If I am ordering it for us I order from Pizza hut. They make a fit and healthy pizza (I think that is what they call it) and it is pretty good. Or I just get the real deal and eat less of it. The 'diet' ones just arent the same and then I feel cheated and deprived.

Are we doing another challenge with the other thread once this one is over? I missed out on this current one but would be up for the next one. I dont want to PM her my weight unless there is another one. No need to share that number around needlessly :rotfl:

And CONGRATS to Riley today too! Hope you guys have a great day celebrating!

I've been good today, Lean Cuisine pizza for lunch, and berries for a snack. Yesterday I wasn't so good. :rolleyes1

I finally got back to updating my blog today, which I hadn't updated for a few weeks, but I added my plans for my September trip, and will continue adding in my old trip reports and dining reviews.

This is a fly-by because I said I would post my weigh-in today. I am down .6. Not great, but not bad for the morning after vacation and the week of Easter. I kept my word and skipped the buffets in Reno, which was hard, I made it to the hotel gym, and our room was the last room on the corridor, so every time we went anywhere, just the walk to the elevator and back was about a quarter of a mile. DH and I spent Saturday night looking for a place to dance. The first place was '50's rockabilly, with all silver-haired couples dancing. The second place was death metal so loud I think my ears were bleeding (nobody was dancing; just standing there staring at the band) . We finally ended up at a bar with booty-shaking current music, and the average age (minus DH and me) was probably 22 years old. We decided to stay and shake it. We felt a little silly, but at least we worked up a sweat. :hyper: :hyper: <my bum

I got a frozen Weight Watcher one while my family ate delivery pizza :guilty: and was a little bit disappointed as to it's size. I could have easily eaten 2. Ok 3, but no more than 4. :rolleyes1

I like the Lean Cuisine's better myself.

Oh Laura... bacon and onion is my absolute fav. Yumm. I don't think I could have stopped at 4... and I am not even going to TELL you what I ate Tues night when I fell off. Tomorrow is another day.

It was so good Kat. Crisp bacon almost burnt. It was very hard to stop at 4 believe me I could of easily had two more. So I shared what I had, it's now your turn.

Happy friday everyone! I weighed this morning to get a baseline for next week, so I am officially back on the wagon. And then celebrated by going to lunch at Chilis and had a burger. (I had a coupon for a free one that expires on the 31st, so I HAD to use it
 ) I am chugging water though and have a light dinner planned so I may still be OK for today. We'll see.....I also started teaching again this week so my activity is going to be going up now at least. That ought to help.
Congrats on the baby!

I love your new siggy pictures.

I started using a luncheon plate so I eat smaller portions. It really helps!

That's a good idea.

Gotta hurry! DH and I are going to see a band tonight that a guy I work with is in. Weigh in info! I'm down 4.4 lbs this week! :woohoo: New ribbon for me too! :)

Yeah on the new ribbon, I can't wait until I can put one up.

what i do is buy the lean cuisine deep dish pizzas (my favorite is the margherita).

These are the pizzas that I like the margherita one. Yummy.

Hi everyone... hope it's ok if I join you! I've been doing Nutrisystem since 1/18 and have lost 15 pounds so far.

Hi Betsy and welcome.

Here, I'll put a link to my latest ultrasound pic:

My computer froze up when I tried the link. I have to try again after I post my quotes.

To join in on the pizza talk - I'm occasionally eating TINY pizzas on NS. One I eat is a flatbread cheese pizza and it's about the size of a Pop Tart; the other is an extremely thin round cheese pizza. I was really shocked at the sizes when I first started NS, but they really do fill me up. I do miss the other brands though!

Pizza the size of a pop tart, oh my. I guess I could possibly get used to that but then again maybe not.

I add more veggies to my dinners everytime. Mostly 2 cups of broccoli and then I put it on a regular plate, I don't eat it in the little dish it comes in. So I can spread it out on my plate and it looks like I'm eating so much.:rotfl:

Yeah for losing from coming home from Vegas. Don't you hate when you think you're young and then you walk into a club and you are an old fart.:lmao:

Well my peeps guess what. My DH's sister is coming to visit with her son (they live in VA). She's another whole story but that could take at least 10 pages worth of posts on my feelings for her:mad: Anyway she's coming over between 4:30 and 5 and my sons have been waiting in our driveway waiting for them, it's now 4:53. They probably won't even get here at 5. Always late. Oh and another thing, bad stuff we might have for dinner too. Pizza again:upsidedow

Okay, here goes. I had 3 bud selects before going into the game, 3 large beers at the game, a 1/3 lb thickburger and an order of fries in the game. After we got home, I had 3 regular Red Hook beers, kettle chips and cheese, and 2 slices of a frozen supreme pizza (cooked of course). And I think maybe 2 100-cal ho-hos but things got a little fuzzy (why I don't know! ). This all took place between 6PM and 2AM. And yes, I had to be at work at 9:30AM on Wednesday.

So now you can call me a drunk as well as a bad eater. I felt like total and complete CRAP on Wednesday, plus was a 1 lb gain this week, so I guess I have paid my dues!! (although TOM is/was here and I was down that lb this morning)

I usually add a huge salad to any frozen meal, and sometimes veggies and fruits as well. I try to get the lower calorie ones (200 or less) so that I have the calories for a decent low-fat salad dressing and can still keep it all under 400-500.

Good luck tonight!!

Today is so far so good....but the little Dove chocolates left over from Easter are calling my name....:ssst:

Good job for everybody that goes on vacation and doesn't gain weight....AND throws in some exercising??!! Man- that is some dedication there....All weight lose plans usually just float out the window after the first vacation day or so for me...luckily our vacations never last that long, so the damage isn't to bad.

Just sitting here today, enjoying the weather :beach: I think it's close to 80 here., DH has started cooking out on the grill lately, which is great, (about time I get a break from cooking!) today it's oysters and ribs, with some corn on the cob. I never put sauce on the meats, only spices, so I save a little calorie room :goodvibes.

UM congratulations on Riley's Baptism Day! They grow up so fast don't they?

Hope everyone has a good weekend! I'll be here trying to resist the call of the dove.......

Oh yeah, about the pizza, that is SO a big weakness for me. YUM! My favorite is sausage and onion from Pizza Hut. I guess I am lucky they don't deliver out here to our house, only yucky soggy Dominoes delivers, so we hardly ever order pizza. But at the mall they have White pizza- OH MY GOSH! That is very hard to resist. See- that's the thing about spring break...usually when the kids are in school I don't go anywhere since I work from home anyway, I just eat something low-cal from home. Over vacation for them, they think it's, well, vacation! They would love to go to the mall and the movies and anywhere else they can think of. All with good smelly food, that (of course) is not labeled with the calorie count! If I know how many calories something is, I can usually resist it more. I'll try to find some other options this time...maybe just cut my calories back and plan ahead for a trip to the movies. (buttery popcorn and nachos with extra cheese-oh man)

Yay for peeps to inspire me, motivate me, and give great dieting tips!:cheer2:

Tell Riley congratulations from me.
I did and he looked at me funny.

Confession is good for the soul!
Wait, this isn't "Our" week is it? ;)

UM congratulations on Riley's Baptism Day! They grow up so fast don't they?

Thanks! He's so funny. He stepped foot into the semi-cold water and started a giggle-fit. He gets that from me.

Move away from the Dove chocolate! (It's 75% off at my Walmart!...Lord, give me strength.)

random post......do you guys realize what i will be doing exactly one month from this very minute (8:02 p.m. EST)?????? i will be just sitting down for my 8:00 ADR at narcoosee's!!!!! :cloud9:

by the way, margaritas are evil. that is all. :upsidedow

random post here too. Not only are margaritas evil, so are coconut martinis (had one with dinner tonight).

Dawn, DH and I spent our entire dinner out (for his birthday) talking about where we are eating on our upcoming May trip. In 50 days we'll be eating at V&A, all 5 courses, probably licking the food from between the tongs of my fork.

This is after I ate like a pig in Las Vegas this past week. Just got home late yesterday, had an amazing time staying at the Venetian. I don't gamble but I sure can eat and they had plenty of great food at that hotel. It's not good to work in the food industry.

Danielle, wish I danced, at least it would burn calories. DH and I are both so uncoordinated that we'd clear the floor if we got out there. Glad you had great time.

i so wish you guys were going a couple weeks earlier or that we were going a couple weeks later!!! oh, and i'm totally jealous about V&A!

Hi Everyone ~ I found this thread via a link in the Food Porn thread. I'd love to join in. I really need to find some support while I try to drop these 20 pounds I packed on 2 years ago. I'm 5'3" and I show each and every extra pound.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I'm so impressed already with the losses I've read about so far! Thanks for letting me join in. princess:
