EAT RIGHT!
TONIGHT!

I not only have a devil of an inner voice but don't have an OFF switch to tell me I'm full...put down the fork! Unfortunate combination, I'd say.

Pigget- hugs to you and Joshua. Bless his heart for cooperating!

Dineyfav4ever- Hmmmm. The immature me says, "Put it on a Visa" but the logical me says, "It wasn't meant to be then"
SUCH a hard choice! Immature me usually wins that particular battle.

by the way, where are all the peeps? we're missing some people! melinda? sandy? minnie moo? shannon? who else???
I'm here! Thanks for asking. Snowed in...sort of.

Congratulations on the big win this week! WOO-HOOTY! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Anyway....I'll be around....just not losing any weight. But. I've got to get back in shape. Everything's all white and jiggly from the winter. :scared:

Practical planner me says "make the ADRs and don't cancel til the 45 day mark." Something great could happen between now and then.

YES, that is a perfect solution. I'd hate to see you lose that list of ADR's you have! Some of them are hard to come by.

I think I may have to cancel my September trip. :sad1: I had an extra baby-sitting job, but that fell through. That job would of paid for my trip, but now that I don't have it, I am highly considering canceling my trip. I'm going to make a decision about it between now and when I get to my 180 day mark in a few weeks. No point in making ADRs if I'm not going.

This really bums me out, I've been planning this trip for months, and now that the park hours had been released it seemed so real, and now it might be over before it even starts. :guilty:

i agree with melinda. also, can you change some things in your trip to make it more affordable? like your hotel? or your dining plans? i'd rather be at WDW on a budget than not at all!

Just got back from shopping. I needed some clothes for WDW. I have shorts, but am afraid my cottage cheese legs may frighten the other tourists. Wait... maybe I'll wear them...I'll clear the lines and have no wait for any attraction :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: . Anyway I bought 4 pair of nice and comfy capris and they are a size smaller than I wore last year!:woohoo: :woohoo: I got a bunch of short sleeved shirts too. also down a size in those!:thumbsup2 Surely put me in a good mood. I'm looking forward to getting out of the women's department the clothes in regular sizes are so dang cute right now.

i have the cottage cheese problem in the upper front thigh area and i hate it! it makes wearing shorts very difficult. but i'm wearing them while at WDW because that's what i'm comfortable in......i've seen WAY worse there and i'm sure yours are fine. congrats on the smaller sizes! :thumbsup2

me, too (in the white & jiggly department)! i heard you guys got snow....about 4 inches for my family. i'm jealous!

I totally agree with you. I'm already staying at Pop though, with the discounted plan. I could change from the $30 a night deluxe plan to the "free" basic DDP, but I know if I did that I'd end up spending extra money on food OOP.

You soooo won't. The Deluxe DDP is a lot of waste/waist (I made a funny! ). With creative use of snack credits, you wont be hungry for one minute...plus wayyyy more time to ride rides and see attractions since you wont be ALWAYS on the way to an ADR. Take along some Snack Bars (I love the ones from Slim Fast)or fruit or whatever in case you're worried. Do the math and see if it's more do-able. I love that POP food court...a HUGE family size Sun Chips for one snack credit.

OT: On the Simpsons right now, Homer is on a diet...It's HEESterical!

Getting ready to go to the funeral home and giving Joshua a breathing treatment. He usually hates them, but he went and got the mask. He has sat still the entire time. He must have really been having a hard time. See everyone later.

 I'm thinking about you. Glad Joshua was a trooper.

I agree with everyone, I would try and cut corners then not to be in Disney. Keep them.

Yeah on the smaller size. I hate the women's department. I can't wait to get out of them, but that will be awhile.

Hi Melinda - I haven't seen you in awhile. We just got rain this weekend.

The other option is to keep looking for ways to pick up the extra money. I agree that you should hang onto ADRs until the last possible minute just in case. I know you love the dining experiences and don't want to cut back there.

Woo hootie on the smaller size. And go ahead and wear shorts if you want. There's going to be plenty of "real" people there. And most people don't notice that anyway. They're too concerned about their own imperfections, or maybe just focused on having fun. And if any are judgmental, they can just puckerup: your :eeyore: . Doesn't everyone like to kiss Eeyore?

I was a little more peepish today. DH and I went out with his mom for lunch, and I had a fajita burrito, but only ate about a quarter of the tortilla (but all the meat and veggies). It was yummy-licious without being a diet buster. And I got on the bike tonight (that gave me 35 minutes w/ Edward, Jacob and Bella).

Wow, well done PEEPS and BOARDERS!!! Excellent numbers for both teams! :cool1:

I have been very peeplike today, I turned down the chance of a Homemade Sunday Roast with all the trimmings AND homemade Yorkshire Puddings (my fave!) and had a ham salad instead! I was not very good yesterday with my choices so I made up for it today!

We have had a 'severe' weather warning here for tomorrow - apparantly the winds are going to be 'as close to hurricane weather as we get in the uk' without actually being a hurricane?! All I know is the wind is going to be bad, so I have had to store any movable items from my garden, so now all my plants are in the shed! :rotfl: I fear for my garden fence, it didn't survive the last winds very well!

Mony - Glad you finally got to celebrate your birthday

Pixie - Sorry, your story made me laugh out loud!

Have a great day everyone!

I haven't had yorkshire pudding in years! My aunt who was from Toronto would make it and my mom picked up on that and we'd have it with roasts. Pass the gravy please!

You had great peep control there I tell you!

We have pie in the house. I don't know if I'll be losing any weight this week.

The cryer comes back today. In about 30 minutes. I'm hoping by the end of this week, she'll be adjusted and used to us. She's one of those if you put her down or even suggest you may put her down, she starts wailing.

I hugged and squeezed Maddy a little extra this weekend cause so much of my attention was for the new baby. It made me sad for Maddy. At least Maddy will play anywhere I put her.

DF4E: I would make adjustments so you can still go. We did the basic plan a few trips, and it was way more food than we needed. Promise.

So you only do one table meal a day. You have some great counter service places to choose from.

Good Morning my peeps. I ate a lot of cheese yesterday. Yes that's my downfall. It was Lacey Swiss if you want to know. I did on the other hand ate a WW dinner with a bag of veggies mixed in with it and not what my other family members ate. Tonight is homemade chicken soup. I have been drinking all of my water so that's good for me. Well I gotta go wake up the kids for school.

Good morning all!

I've been lurking and not checking in lately -- sorry! I was a samer weight wise on Friday (and the Friday before if I didn't check-in), but I'm seeing a big difference in the way my clothes are fitting. Thus, I figure I'm doing some good! I tend to go in cycles -- lose big lbs for two weeks, then nothing while my body catches up.

I'm starting a new position at work at the end of the month and will need more suits and jackets and such, so I went clothes shopping on Friday. BECAUSE none of my old suits fit!!! :woohoo: I started this journey 11 months ago at a size 26 (:scared1: ... think that's the first time I've put that out there) and I am now officially out of the womans sizes on top and almost out on the bottom. I'm wearing a 14/16 in jackets and an xl in sweaters. I'm in that grey middle ground on the bottom -- womens sizes are too big, but the misses don't have enough hip room. The 16 bottoms are still a bit tight, but I'm buying them when I see them on a really good sale because I think I'm about 3 -4 weeks from getting in them!!! Now these aren't great sizes to some, but I'm pretty psyched. My ultimate goal is around a size 8-10, so I have a ways to go, but this is momentous for me.

Some things that have been working for me:

1. Reverse sit-ups: to tone up my non-existent abs, I've been doing what I call "reverse sit-ups." I sit on the edge of my ottoman, lay back, then bring my legs up as far as I can (keep them straight), hold, then let them all the way down to the floor. I try to do 4-5 sets of 15 every other night. They are killer, but I've noticed a huge difference in my middle since I started them. Once you've got the hang of them, do a crunch and hold with your upper body at the same time. I find they are easier on my back than traditional situps and crunches and much more effective!

2. To help combat the cottage cheese thigh problem and loose skin, I've been using Nivea Reshaping Treatment and Nivea Skin Firming lotion. I didn't think they'd work, but had to give something a try. I can't believe how well they work for me...

Have a great day peeps!

I'm definitely bringing shorts too. I just want to have capris too so I look hgood in some pictures. I'm more concerned with what my pics look like thanb what other people think! puckerup: my :eeyore: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: you are too funny Danielle! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: for the good eating and exercising!

MJ MOUSE you are doing FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Keep up the great Work

For those cottage cheese thighs,,lots of exercise even more WATER WATER WATER and if you have the $$$$ see if you local spa has Endomology, Dermasonic or velasmooth machines, these are the only 3 FDA approved machines that are proven to reduce cellulite...I have never tried the wellbox but i heard people get great results from that too.

I have been doing endomology for over 3 years and notice a huge difference when i dont go. its not a cure all but you do see a big difference if you use them.

WOW! MJM you are an inspiration. So glad you checked in! I needed your post this morning to get me going! Thanks for the advice on the "reverse sit ups" and the Nivea. My abs are a big problem for me! I always wondered if those firming creams really work. Now that I have your recommendation I'm going to go buy some Nivea!:woohoo: :woohoo: How long did it take for you to see a difference?

Thanks! It's been hard work, but worth it.

I noticed a diff on my arms and stomach almost instantly with the Skin Firming lotion and it just got better from there... they say two weeks on the bottle. The Reshaping treatment (use that on my legs followed by the firming lotion) took a bit longer -- maybe two or three weeks, but it eventually started to help. Now that said... I don't have 18 year old skin by any means, but it is certainly better than it was.

LMO -- You're absolutely right... exercise and water really are key. I do drink massive amounts of water (esp since I gave up soda for lent... even my beloved diet pepsi). I have to say that I feel better w/o the soda in my system and I've noticed even better results with my skin since drinking all the water. The exercise has been harder to convince myself to do lately, but I'm excited that it will be light out so much longer in the evenings. I love walking outside and it's much easier to get myself motivated to walk when I'm doing it for the dog too! (and tiring her out so she'll sleep through the night is a good thing!!)

:)

I haven't checked in since friday but I've been lurking, just no time to post.

Friday I had cucumber and tomato salad and minestrone soup for lunch, then grilled chicken on salad and McD's fries for dinner. Sat was tomato and cucumber salad for lunch and a KFC mashed tater bowl for dinner. I didn't get on the treadmill either day but I did some housework and assembled a dvd stand on Sat which really wore me out.

Sunday we went to a buffet for lunch with DH's parents - I wasn't exactly good, but I wasn't bad either (no seconds, and a good salad to start with). Dinner was home made fries - still fried but made from fresh taters with our handy dandy new veggie cutter thingie - and some chicken tenders. DH bought a pie from the buffet's bakery - choc pecan pie - I had 1 small slice last night. I will be very happy when that is gone. I was good though and did a mile on the treadmill.

Like many, I'm a compulsive scale checker. Even though I know only 1 day a week counts, I still like to see the numbers. On Sunday morning I was down to 210 - who knows if that will stay the same, particularly after yesterday's buffet and pie. I couldn't check this morning cause its now still kinda dark when I get up and I don't like to disturb DH by putting on the upstairs bathroom light (which is where the scale is).

This week should be good for me for exercise based on DH's schedule. I have to work long days this week since I'm going to a murder mystery weekend and have to leave work early on Fri. However, DH either works late or has a meeting tues-thurs so I'll have plenty of time to get home and exercise before he gets home. I'll still try to get in a mile tonight but since its the only evening I have with DH this week I might just relax with him on the couch tonight.

I'm not looking forward to trying on my fancy dress that I have to wear on Sat for the big dinner at this murder mystery thing. I originally bought it to wear for a Vday dinner but our plans changed. It was a little tight when I bought it, but I suppose it should fit better now since I definitely have lost some weight. I'm pretty sure I hadn't gained much since I bought the dress back in Jan, or if I did, I must have lost some of it now. I'll report back on the dress situation after I try it on Tues night.

Taking the new exercise ball out of the box today and it came with a DVD. I will be physical more than usual today. I will.
