I think i am getting some sort of rotten cold..must have been the crazy Maine weather from this past weekend..warm, freezing, dry, snow..oh well..spring will be here soon...right!???

i did weigh myself yesterday though..YIKES!!!!! i better lose some of that vacation/no exercise weight before friday!

You know what one really bad thing about working at a grocery store is? Reduced Valentine's candy. The day after Valentine's everything had been reduced to half-price, but then yesterday, everything got reduced further, just so it would sell, and be gone.

Well they had these big hearts, that were originally $20, and they had them down to $2. I bought not one, but two. Luckily the first one was opened imediatly, and was shared with ten other people, so when I took that one home at the end of the night, there were only a few pieces left.

Although my mom looked at it this morning, and I woke up to her yelling at me for eating almost a whole box of chocolates myself. I hate when she assumes that I have no portion control whatsoever, and also assumes that I don't share.

OH i know that pain!!! I worked at a supermarket through college and after holidays it was always very tough to not buy the 75 cent bags of butterfinger eggs! lol...everything in moderation thats what i say!

WHAT A DAY!!!!!! i got to court this morning and ray calls me to tell me he ran out of gas......

needless to say, i've consumed several cookies today because that's all i had time to eat. i hope you guys had a better day than i did.

Oh No!! I have to admit that I giggled a little picturing the adventure with the key and the trunk. I hope things improve.

Well I had a good day but a bad peep day. I went to see my oncologist and I got a clean slate for another 3 months. He's ordered one more test but says that everything looks good except for bone density which is "okay". Heck I'll take okay these days.

So to celebrate, DH and I went out for dinner. Not just any dinner. Mexican food. And not just any Mexican food. Flautas. And a big fat margarita.

That is great news and so deserving of a margarita!

i wanted to laugh but i couldn't with the way he looked at me when he did it! when he finally got the seat out i asked if he wanted me to reach in between because my arm was smaller and he just looked at me. he was NOT in a good mood......that was a big homer simpson "doh!" moment for him!

see you are a smarty; you know when it is best to just not say anything. I would have laughed

i'm still sick. and it's getting worse....i think from stress. anyway, i just sat down on the couch with a big coffee mug full of hot water and one of those zicam medicated spoons. so i'll be in la-la land in about half an hour! but that's what i need....i haven't been sleeping well lately.

tomorrow is my grandpa's 80th birthday.....i'm so proud! especially since he just got out of the hospital - i didn't want him to spend his birthday in the hospital! he was in there for some tests because he's been having some weird breathing spells. anyway, he's at home now and i can't wait to call him and tell him happy birthday tomorrow!

have a good tuesday, everyone! (<---- i think that medicine is already kicking in! i shouldn't be so chipper with the day i've had!)

I am sorry you are feeling cruddy still. I hate to say this but if it is what we have all had, it lasts forever. Get lots of rest. That is the only thing that seemed to help.

I have a dr.'s apt today. They are making me come back after my annual. They are doing a more thorough exame. I'm having on of those oscopy's can't remember which one, but a snip here, and a snip there and I'm all freaked out.

I was wondering the same thing about the Dance...?

dance was supposed to have a scheduled C-section last week. we haven't heard from her but i'm sure she's recovering and will be by soon to show us the new little one!

i think you're thinking of tara from rochester. tara hasn't been around the peeps thread in awhile but i talk to her on the phone sometimes. she's doing well and is due next month. they're having a little boy and naming him ty.

thank you! i talked to him a few minutes ago and he seemed okay except he was frustrated that he can't go and feed his cows right now because he's very weak. him and those cows!!!

I'm thinking late in July? We usually take Josh's sister for her b-day, and that's when it is. That's tentative at this point of course, but we are gonna start nailing down some little trips like that before too much longer. What are your thoughts?

Sorry for keeping you all in suspense!
Well, the short story....Baby Brandon Allen Lastname arrived weds 2/20 at 1:03 pm via scheduled c-section. He was exactly 7 pounds, and 19 1/4 inches long. SO tiny compared to Amanda (who was 9pds 10oz and 21 inches!) Amanda is doing really well and loving being a big sister. She has not shown the slightest bit of being jealous yet, and really the only issue we have had was me being in the hospital and gone a few days. (which was probably harder on me than her!) I am still surprised at how tiny he seems to me, and how it is possible to love both of these little people so much at the same time.

The very proud big sister! And yes, she has more makeup on than a street walker here, thanks to my mom for letting her get all gussied up before coming to the hospital

Please ignore my red shiny face here...that hospital room was SO hot and the temperature controls were very crazy. It was either freezing cold or 85 degrees

The longer story:
It has been a wild few days. I am recovering much easier than I did with Amanda from the c-section (and my recovery with her was pretty easy) BUT, he was way up under my rib cage and they had a hard time getting him out so my ribs are still sore from them pushing on me. It took 2 Drs to get him to move down, basically pouncing on me on the table! Also, it took 3 tries for the epidural so my back is giving me some problems. (thursday and friday were really awful, they had to inject me with some pain meds and muscle relaxers because the pills did nothing.) The incision is the least of my issues really. He had jaundice too, so they made us stay an extra day under the lights and we got released Sunday afternoon. We have then had to go for checks the past 2 days and his levels are finally normal today.

I am attempting to breastfeed again, and doing much better than before. I got nothing with Amanda, and this time I am at least starting to produce a bit. We are supplementing some and I am pumping to increase supply, but I think I will be able to at least BF for a short time this time. And truthfully ANY amount of time I am able to BF is a success in my book. Especially with my surgery coming up, I wont be able to do it very long anyways.

Thanks for looking...I am sure I will share more later. I got a new camera and have yet to load the software on my computer so these pics are from my sisters camera. I need to get mine off of my camera at some point!
