DISappearing PEEPS Volume 2

I just caught the tail end of the game. DH is happy. He's a native NYer.

I figured out something really important today. I think it's pretty obvious to most that I've done little more than maintain my weight for the last year. Now I know why. I did the math on the 12 x goal weight, and here's what I found. My goal weight is 142. 142 x 12 = 1704. My current weight hovers around 155. 155 x 12 = 1860. Difference between the two totals? 156 calories. That means if I sneak an ounce of chocolate, or don't measure the calorie-dense foods like peanut butter or salad dressing, I can easily eat the difference between my current weight and my goal weight. So I need to be super-vigilant if I want to lose these last 13 lbs. And I DO want to lose them. So live and learn.

Monica, I'm sending extra special pixie dust your way. I know how powerful that peep prayer is because it certainly has helped me. I hope you feel better soon.

Wow, what a great 4th quarter that game was. I spent the first part of the game scrapbooking and working on my trip report but I did catch the 4th quarter and it was pretty exciting. I don't watch football normally but it was good.

Danielle, I hope your calorie formula discovery helps you out. I too have flatlined on the weight loss so I'm going to be trying to kick it up a notch on the exercise. I hope to get the new gym at work all put into place this week. The maintenance dept has to assemble the equipment and mount the flat screen TV, an electrician has to come in and do the wiring and I have to call the attorney to make sure I have all the bases covered before I allow my staff in to use it. This is a surprise for them. Everyone except one on my staff struggles with their weight and a few, including me, have health issues that would improve with regular exercise. I'm hoping that if we do it together, it will be fun and everyone will get healthier. I know what having this group has done for me so I'm really excited that perhaps they will support one another and make some great life changes.

I hope everyone has a great week. I expect test results this week. And I've seriously felt better mentally since I asked for your support. It really does make a difference to not feel like I go through this stuff alone.

Good luck with the at-work gym. I just do the hokey pokey with my little darlings. And I'll direct some extra prayers to your test results.

I need some pixie dust.

I just came back from Urgent care and I have pneumonia.

Me and the girls have been sick since Friday. At least theirs is nothing like mine.

If you can remember me in your prayers, I'd appreciate it. I probably won't be around much cause I feel like I've been hit by a mac truck and backed over once or twice.

So sorry that you have that. Sending dust and prayer your way.

OH Monica, I'm so sorry to hear that! Did you catch it from your son? Didn't he have pneumonia too?

I'll put you on the prayer list.

Also, put Lesley Sawhook on your prayer list. She has a TR going, and she did a Polar Plunge yesterday for Special Olympics. Well she dove into the pool, hit her head on the bottom and now has 14 stitches in her head. She raised over $700 for Special Olympics, and NO ONE from the organization came over to check on her. Anyway, I know how powerful Peep prayer is, so keep this family (she has two precious children who saw the whole thing) in your prayers.
OUCH!!!! Can't believe no one checked on her. She is ver \y luck that she just has stitches. Poor thing.

Punkin---I saw that catch and was like :scared1: :woohoo:

Good Morning!:goodvibes

Monica...I am praying for you and hope this pnuemonia doesn't linger long. My GS was diagnosed with it on New Years Day. He felt better afrer 2 days on the meds and his xrays were clear within 2 weeks. Feel better!

Pakey...Prayers to you as well for a clear test result. And can I come with you to DLP? Sounds awesome!

Did terrible yesterday, but today is a Fresh Start for me! Going back on WW with DH and am very determined. I would like to lose 20lbs by May 31st. That is a goal I have to meet! :yay: So, starting today, I am eating no desserts and definitely no chocolate!

Happy Day All!

Very interesting! So basically if my goal is to weigh 125 I times it by 12 and that is the number of calories i should consume every day?

TinkaBella - if I missed you, I apologize! Here's the updated V-Day Challenge

Super Bowl - I won't say too much because we've got a dyed in the wool Pats fan amongst us; but I can honestly say that I'm not unhappy with outcome. But what a game. One of the best played football games I've ever seen, regardless of the outcome. But the commercials left me a little bit underwhelmed.

Dawn - I'm guessing you are Ole Miss fans, and that's why your doggie is named after Eli Manning? Being from the south, I can't imagine you'd be big Giants fans.

Keep us posted no matter what the result is. I am praying it was just a "blip" on the radar.

Yes she is. She was told numerous times that she was lucky she didn't injure her neck. She posted on her TR, that she still hasn't heard from Special Olympics. It's amazing that they didn't even stop or pause the event considering there was blood in the pool. Seems like a contamination problem to me.

Monica - hope you are feeling better. :flower3:  It is raining and lightning here, so I opted NOT to walk the dogs outside, since I would have been a human lightning rod with my umbrella. :rolleyes1 So, I came inside on got on my gazelle. I did 2.07 miles in 32:30 minutes.

Here's what I got from yesterday's posts. If you're not on here, please post your birthday in BIG BOLD LETTERS. Thanks.

Oh good. None of you are on here tonight. I can confess that I had two brownies this evening after being so good all day.

I hope none of you read this.
did not see a thing;)

prayers being added .

well it is freezing cold i just want to stay in my nice warm bed and not move at all (but i am going to get up and get my butt moving) Possible gym day if the snow clears up a bit..
everyone have a great day :goodvibes
and wait to go GIANTS(dh team doing the supportive wife thing i did not watch the game but I HEARD it..

I am a bad girl. A few days ago I mentioned that they opened a self-serve hot food bar at work with chicken fingers and the like. I had been staying away from it, mainly because it is over-priced, and I hate paying high prices. But last night the guy who shut it came up to the front of the store with a few containers of chicken fingers, among other things, and said we, (me and everyone else working that night,) could have them, since otherwise they'd just be thrown out. Compared to the guys I didn't eat that many, but I'd guess I ate at least 300 calories or so worth of chicken fingers, and this was after my Lean Cuisine dinner. :sad2:

I am sure you must mean me about the dyed in the wool pats fan thing:rolleyes1 ..but don't worry..i am a very fair fan, if they play like pooh: then they don't deserve to win. That was their game to win, their super cool record to have..but they blew it. I am dissapointed but i'm over it pretty much..now its time to root on the RED SOX..lol! :)

I however was NOT eating like someone trying to lose weight yesterday..but hey, its ONE day..and i am back on track today..
have a good monday everyone!! :)

Well I am a dyed in the wool GIANTS fan. I am so excited! That game could have gone either way. Talk about being on the edge of my seat all night. The Pats had an extraordinary season and are to be congratulated for that!

I am a METS fan. How long til pitchers and catchers? When the Red Sox are playing the Yankees, I root for the Red Sox. You can't live in Ny and like both the Mets and the yankees..it's one or the other!

Yep, I was definitely talking about you! Truth be told, I've been a closet Dolphins Fan since I was young (the Packers stunk when I was growing up, and Dan Marino was my idol until Brett Favre came along); so I was rooting heavily against the Pats because of the '72 Dolphins.

As for the dieting, that was the one silver lining of the Packers not making it. I cancelled my party, and the wife and I just made a few snacks for ourselves. So while I didn't stick to my diet very strictly, I did a lot better than I would have if I had hosted a party.

How long til pitchers and catchers?
I don't know about the Mets, but for the Brewers it is 13 days until pitchers and catchers report (February 17).

YES, ask Lexmelinda for the details. It makes total sense and has worked for her and Punkin...coincidentally our only two goal weight Peeps.

My scientific method of Super Bowl winner-picking failed last night!
See, you take the QB's from both teams and whom ever is cuter, that team will win. Brady is wayyyyyyy cuter than whats-his-name.

I just don't understand what went wrong with my method?? :confused3

Maybe it's who has the cuter bum-bum? :rolleyes1

AND....

The Diet was OFF last night as I indulged in sweet n sour meatballs, and tortilla chips with 7 layer dip AND curly fries (ARGH!)

Back ON today!!!!!!!! So far, I didn't do too much damage. I hope!

Oh no! Eli is way cuter than Tom!

But here's how it really worked for the Giants win. My family was at my DSis's house just like for the last playoff game. At the two minute warning I said "OK this has been bugging me all night. We are in the wrong seats. When we won 2 weeks ago, I was sitting where DD (14) is sitting!"... so I switched seats, made my DD(16) sit next to me like last time amd then told my DD(14) and DNef (11) that last game they watched the game upstairs. They went charging up the stairs and once we were all in our proper places the GIANTS won. Oh and I'm sure it didn't hurt that I made everyone in my family wear exactly the same outfits we had on 2 weeks ago! Can you tell I love my GIANTS?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Eli is a good player, but i don't think he is cute at all...Brett Favre is way cuter in my book..a MANLY man lol...but hey, to each his own! :thumbsup2

I'm just so mad right now. I posted on the CB thread this morning that someone I knew was collecting food for a food bank, and then keeping some of it for themselves.

I was sent a PM by another DISer, that I should check out a different board, when I did I found a thread making fun of my thread, and that I'm stupid, among other things I can't post here, for thinking this is wrong.

I did a further search back on the forums, and it seems every recent issue I've had is brought up there, even though I lot of their points are assumptions on their part. It's just really mean and horrible things they are saying about me, mainly based on my job, and that fact that I still live with my parents, etc.

They are just posting the most hateful things about me.
