I ate a soy hot dog.

Let that sink in.

a Hot Dog made of soy. And they were expensive.

The taste or the texture. Which do you want to hear about first?

I'll make it easy. GROSS!

I dumped the rest of the not-dogs into my Golden Retreiver's bowl snubbed them.
Dogs who sniff BUTTS and eat maxi pads didn't want my soy dogs. In fact, they gave me a "look" like:

My attempt to add more soy is going WELL.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ( My dog likes maxi pads too)

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

dirty diapers and dirty underwear are some of our idots' favorites

In case you get brave again, Morningstar makes a veggie corn dog that really is good. Dip it in a bit of ketchup...YUM!!

My dog prefers underwear as well... Tho funny story... growing up my dad would get on my case when the dog got my underwear saying I shouldn't leave it where she could get it. Then one day I came home and found him yelling at her for chewing his underwear. I looked him dead in the eye and said maybe you shouldn't leave em where she could get them and walked away... LOL!!! The dog also likes the lick the carpet which drives my dad nuts also... DH and I watch my dad and crack up everytime....

Dipped in Tussin would have given it some points.

So now I'm feeling jipped out of a meal. :sad1:

What's for dinner, y'all? I need an idea other than chicken and broccoli.

Did you guys see Biggest Loser last night?

Observation...

When the dudes are still fat, they have them take off their shirts for weigh in.
Once they lose lots of weight and are getting big muscles, the shirst stay ON for weigh in. Man b00bs should be shirted and buff pecs should be shirtless...unless they are female. Yes I know this topic is "done" but those guys (and ladies) look great!

I have never exercised till I puke. Never once!
We're having baked tilapia tonight. Yummo!

I noticed that same thing last season! I was like "ok, now that the guys aren't huge and flabby, they have to keep their shirts on?". I wonder what it would be like to just focus my entire life on eating right and working out 6 hours a day. No work, no bills, nothing. Just eating and exercising. That would be the life...

My dog's a carpet licker too. Not to mention blankets, couches, and just about anywhere else her butt has been. She is a total OCD licker. Finds a spot, and spends the next 10 minutes licking it clean.

It's nice to see you all have been busy!

Nice food selections.

I am having shrimp for dinner. Probably stirfried. I don't have a wok, but the same concept with lots of dark green veggies!

That totally sounds gross. Note to self, no buy soy dogs. Blech!

well thanks Utah- I was hungry but now I am all caught up on the thread-:scared:

Ditto.

WOW!! I miss a week and look where we are.

DANCE-----he is beautiful :thumbsup2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DANCE, MELINDA, and MONICA :cool1:

It has been very busy around here. Hopefully I will be around more soon.

Thanks, where were you?

Monica, as bird and I are members of both threads, we get to be shared between the two groups. I think that Peeps get me on odd weeks, and Boarders on even, and bird is vice versa. Just to add more confusion!

Dinner tonight is spicy chicken... 2-3 frozen chicken breasts, thawed, cut into pieces, and stir-fried w/ many veggies and much red pepper.

Aaron, my dinner last night was tilapia. I pan-fried... dipped in better'n'eggs then 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs, and fried in a non-stick pan w/ a bit of cooking spray. I used 4 2oz filets, and half was about 150 cals. I have baked it too, w/ dill, oregano, and basil. Yumm.

I do mine with OJ and Lemon Juice. I let the fish soak in there for about 20-30 minutes; then I put the fish in a glass pan, top it with some of the OJ/Lemon Juice mixture, sprinkle a little dill, and bake. Quite tasty.

chatty peeps!

I already know punkin is going a bazillion times.

it's the only time in my life i will be able to do this....might as well take advantage!

THAT is hilarious!!! I never thought of that before...but now i know i will think it every time i see him ! Silly 50, trix are for kids! :lmao:

i say that every time i see him! and what makes it even funnier is he's supposed to be all gangster and i'm comparing him to the trix rabbit!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ( My dog likes maxi pads too)

my dog likes tampons. ray says he dips them (like tobacco). SO GROSS! that's why we now have lids on our trash cans.

WOW!! I miss a week and look where we are.

hope things are going well for you. i've been thinking about you.

same here. i'm a perv though because i giggle every time i see the term "carpet licker." take that for what you will.

both my dogs are OCD lickers. we keep covers on the couches so they don't ruin them. i buy new covers like twice a year.

i had lunch today with a friend i haven't seen since my wedding (6 years ago) and she and her boyfriend decided to buy a special education school bus (the short ones), renovate it into a mini RV and travel around the country. and get this - it runs on vegetable oil! :rotfl2:

As a long time vegetarian, we eat soy dogs all the time and love them. Yes, even the kids are veg-heads! The texture can be gross if you don't get the right brand. Go with Smart Dogs...they are the best on the market. And yeah, you gotta add ketchup and mustard at first...till you get used to the taste.

True story...one Thanksgiving I decided to cook a Tofurkey (that is a Tofu Turkey for those needing translation...). Even though we have been vegetarians for eons, I had never made one before, but after hearing TONS of vegetarians rave about them, I thought it would be worth a shot...

So, there it is Thanksgiving day...I have my whole spread...a feast fit for kings....and my tofurkey, all nice and golden brown. We say grace, we sit down, and DH slices some tofurkey for everyone. Now, my extended family members are not vegetarians, but they are definitely adventurous eaters so everyone was happy to give it a try. COMPLETE and utter silence.

It was HORRIBLE! It was BEYOND horrible. To steal Kat's phrase, it tasted like mule puke! :scared1: Fortunately, I had made tons and tons of food just in case this happened, so the holiday meal wasn't ruined. DH decides he is going to toss the remains into the woods (we live in a heavily wooded area).

Fast forward to after dinner...the family is gathered in the living room, chatting and having a nice holiday when what do we see out the sliding glass door? An entire group of wild turkeys totally chowing on the tofurkey! :rotfl: Yes, on turkey day--in order to show solidarity for their fallen feathered friends, the turkeys were eating tofurkey! We about wet ourselves at the irony.

I was wondering if someone was going to catch that! I was going to make some sort of snarky comment, but then reminded myself that I had to keep it PG...

Ok, I'll try that brand.

Tofurkey. There's a word for ya.

I die in WDW or Disneyland when people fed the birds from their turkey legs. YUCK. That's an abomination!

Chocolate soy milk is yummy.

Soy nuts are salty and crunchy.

BBQ soy crisps ROCK

So? I heard someone over there called us POOPS! :lmao:

Not our name but it's our VERB!

yay! Men In Trees is on tonight!

I thought of LINT LICKER from that awesome Orbit Gum Commercial. :rotfl2:

leave it to me. :rolleyes1 i hope i don't get in trouble for that one.

that is my FAVORITE commercial right now. what the french, toast??? :lmao:

Is the apple chips in the blue bag with red lettering and fancy packaging?

Oy!! I also like those BBQ soy crisps sold in the rice cake section.

I agree. I need individual packaging. I am fully un-able to count out or weigh a serving size and put each in a baggie.

So...no more big bags of appley-goodness for you? You are our ace-in-the-hole. Our golden ticket. The weight of the world (TeaM PeeP) rests upon your shoulders. No big wup. :lmao:
the white cheddar soy chips are my downfall. Too yummy. And I agree that the soy corndogs are great w/ketchup and mustard. But soy dogs? Blech!

WOW!! I miss a week and look where we are.

 Heather. You've been on my mind and in my prayers this week.

That's a fairly regular occurrence at my gym. At the least an iPod or book rack bites it every day I'm there. And I've been 3 times this week! Yay me!

Great story! I'm not even a vegetarian, but I like the tofurkey okay. I cook it with onions, carrots, potatoes, olive oil and soy sauce. Do not eat the pukey gravy though!

You know, I didn't weigh myself last week, at all, and I thought I totally kiled what I did when I was sick before.

I got on the scale today, and am only a pound away from my original 19 lost.

So, I am not starting over, I am just continuing on. Woo Hoo.

I wish I weighed myself last FRiday, I just went with the weight I was at at my Dr.s visit on Tuesday.

Is it fair that I have pneumonia and AF comes this morning? I think it's more of a cruel joke. You know what coughing does right?

Anyways, THANKS for setting this challenge up. It's EXACTLY what I needed to jump right back into this thing. :worship:

Here's to gi-nor-mous numbers tomorrow!:cool1:

I too am enjoying the challenge.
I think about being bad (which for me is drinking alcohol), but then I remember my Peeps are counting on me!

And those pesky OTHERS are watching! hehehehe.

I think I'll go torment them.
