WWPD!! I'm taking the peeps with me!!
My ipod is set - I have some fun songs to set the pace RESPECT... then I think What am I doin? am I nuts? Then Wynona Judd comes on and talks about dreams, and they sing "Why not me" now the song alone is just weird, its the intro that she gives it about living her dream for 18 years and we all can do it - why not you? why not? Then I have some happy music including the "Off Kilter" (epcot) they sing "Run run away" It just cracks me up - good pacing... then when the next self doubt sets in I hear Clay Aiken singing "Measure of a Man" > >
He never gives up
Lets go of his dream
His world goes around for his one true belief
Is that how you know
Is that what it means?
Would he walk on water
Would he run through fire
Would he stand before you
Would he will be your anchor when the dark unfolds
Would he always love you the best that he knows?
Would he give his life up
To be all that he can
Is that, is that, is that how you measure a man
and more "happy music" (Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet... fun stuff)
Then negative talk and along comes Donny Osmond singing "This is the Moment" > >
This is the moment; this is the day
When I send all my doubts and demons on their way.
Every endeavor I have made ever
Is coming into play, is here and now today.
This is the moment, this is the time
When the momentum and the moment are in rhyme
Give me this moment, this momentous moment;
I'll gather up my past, and make some sense at last.
This is the moment, when all I've done
All of the dreaming, scheming and screaming becomes one.
This is the day, just see it shine
When all I've lived for becomes mine.
This is the moment, this is the hour
When I can open tomorrow like a flower.
And with my hand to, everything I've planned to
Fulfill my grand design; see all my stars align;
This is the moment, my final test;
Destiny beckoned, I never reckoned second best.
I won't look down, I must not fall;
This is the moment, the sweetest moment of them all.
This is the moment, forget all the odds
This day or never I'll sit forever with the gods.
When I look back I will recall, moment for moment
This was the moment,
The greatest moment of them all.
So Peeps what songs help get you through?
First of all- congrats on signing up for your race! Woohooty!
Second, I

Hey everyone...been kinda laying low today.
Could anyone spare some pixie dust for my stupid mouth and teeth? I was hoping that it would go away but it just seems to be staying the same or getting worse so looks like I will have to suck it up and call the dentist on Monday. Anyone who remembers me from back in January/February knows that I am absolutely positively terrified of the dentist (as in panic attacks just talking about going)...and I have a feeling that I might need some scary things done.
So please send me some pixie dust and prayers (sprinkled with some bravery) if you can spare it. Thanks![]()
Wow this is my 3rd time quoting you in my longest-multi-quote-ever... if I had not been a teacher I would have been a dentist. Sounds funny, I know but I feel like smiles are so so so important and something people should be proud of- I was

I just wanted to share a couple of pictures from my July 4 trip to Bodega Bay, about 1 1/2 hours north of San Francisco. The weather was about 20 degrees cooler than my house, where it was over 90.
What do you think these bushes made me think of?

Great pics! DBF and I are going to try and save money to go to Cali next year! Its a tour company (Caravan) and you get to see tons of great stuff! Once it gets closer I will post it up and you can give me your critique on the places we would be able to visit!
Thanks!!Oh, and someone asked me a fireworks photo question! I'm sorry I don't remember who it was! If your camera has a manual setting, try long shutter speeds (2-6 seconds), with aperture set at f/8, and ISO at 100 (if those are options available to you), and USE A TRIPOD or something to prop the camera on so that you don't move it during the exposure. Post again and tell me what kind of camera you have, and I can try to be more specific. I just wanted to post something real quick in case you needed the info soon
I have a nice 35mm camera but I think we are only going to take our digitals on vacation and I found what all the settings on my Sony finally mean. There is one meant for fireworks, candles, sparks, etc... but I wish I could have tested it out. I wish I had extra money this week because I would love to pick up a tripod... maybe I can convince the DBF... lol!
Hey Peeps!! Just wanted to let everyone know that thanks to the early preganancy test Dance sent me I found out I am pregnant!!! I will probably be due about 2 weeks after her! We aren't telling anyone except for my 3 best friends and you guys...I hate the thought of jinxing anything!!!so you have lost two dieters!! have a great day everyone!

I went to see License to Wed today. It was hillarious! I hadn't laughed that hard at a movie in quite a while.
I love the skinny minnie shirts. I'm just jealous that I won't be there. I'll be at home posting to myself. wo is me!![]()
I have been wanting to see License to Wed but the DBF told me that I had to chose between it and Ratatouille and I chose the later (we are going tomorrow afternoon)... I have to see it because I bought this recipe box in the Disney Store that I fell in love with and it has Ratatouille theme and a spot for a picture so we have to go to the animation building when we are in WDW to meet the rats and I figured- I better know who this rat is first! lol! We will def check it out (License to Wed) on DVD though!
i took "in between" pics tonight. (i think the margarita made me do it!!!) i don't want to call them "after" pics because i'm not done yet! but i'm very happy with my progress. i took the "before" ones in january, before i joined the peeps. i really didn't make any progress at all until march, when i joined this thread. so THANK YOU ALL for the suggestions, accountability factor and just plain being there!!!!!! you really did help and are still helping more than you know!
and no, i'm not posting the before and in between pics here!!!
That is awesome! Since it has been such a slow start for me I have decided to make my WDW pics my befores... plus then I can sucker the DBF into another "AFTER" trip eventually! (He tells people this is our last trip for a decade so I have to have some good reasons to get him back in WDW!lol!)
UPDATE ON RYAN--sorry I have not posted but our main computer died and we have been working to get our pictures back![]()
I am at church now in my office so I thought I would share with you that prayer works.
The was taken off the ventilator 6 hours after surgery (normally it is at least 24 hours). He was moved to the step down ICU unit yesterday. Today they needed his blood level (or something in it) near 9 or 10 his has been around 2--well this morning is was a whopping 13!! They are amazed by how well he is doing. We are far from out of the woods so please contiue to pray for him and his family. I gave you the wrong age - he is 9. His younger brother who is 7 is having a hard time being away from his parents and brother. He is here this morning at church and just seems very distant--so please pray for him as well.
ANother prayer reqest for Bruce Barefoot---he has been in hopstial since last Sunday with a blood infection and they found out on Friday that is was antibiotic resistant staph--His wife is my partner at work and they have just been through a lot this past year-not going into all of it but they could relly use prayers for healing, his business selling, and disability to take him on. Please remember them as well.
So many prayers!

Hope all is getting better!!!

OH Yeah...Today's my 24th Wedding Anniversary! DH & I are going to Olive Garden for dinner tonight! I can't wait!!!!![]()
Happy Anniversary!

Did you pick out any baby names yet?Go back to the Dr. in the morning for the dreaded blood sugar test--It always makes me ill for several hours afterwards. So far all is going well--I am getting big and she is always moving. It is VERY HOT here so I am trying to stay inside as much as possible. I will update after the Dr. tomorrow.
hey, has anyone ever heard of papaya enzymes? i went to lunch with anna (wonderwoman) today and she offered me one. they're supposed to aid in digestion and i need all the aid in that area i can get so i took 2 after lunch! we went to chili's and shared the cedar plank tilapia and the lettuce wraps and normally both those dishes tear my stomach up, but i've only had a couple of little pains this afternoon. so maybe this stuff works! i told her to get me a bottle next time she's in GNC. they taste really good, too....orangey flavored. just thought i'd pass it along!
Wow.. how have they been working for you since? Or have you not gotten your bottle from WW yet? Sounds great!
How did studying go? Did I miss the post?After camp, I saw the crush, A., in the student room when I went in there to check my mailbox. He approached me about a final we have together on Wednesday. It is online so we can use our books/notes, but we are both concerned about it. So I suggested that we study together tomorrow after our classes. And he agreed.I really hope he doesn't ask other people to study with us...particulary 2 girls that I really really cannot stand that I know have mentioned studying to him. And hopefully he won't cancel on me either. But we'll see how it goes.
Hope everyone's week is off to a good start!
Wow this is like the third time I quote you, too! lol! If only I could organize my huge multi-quote!Dh and i are looking into selling his car and buying another one. he's either going to take mine and get me something else or i'm going to keep mine and get him something else. i currently drive a 2002 honda cr-v and i love it. we're really struggling trying to decide on something else we both like and can afford. so i've come here for help.......what does everyone drive and do you like it/is it a good car?
In any case, I know you got your car already but since everyone else was sharing... I have only had 2 cars in my life a 1994 Toyota Camry which I loved and sold for not much more than I paid for it in 2004 with 200,000 miles on it and a Saturn SL2 which is pretty generic but I bought it off my dad for like 6 grand and its a 2002 and I have had it since 04 so I didn't look a gift horse in the mouth! My next car (a present for when I finish my Masters which I will be starting this year) will be a Jeep Wrangler. Love them!
