HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANNON!!!!!

You have a good one, ya hear!!!!!!

Well you do have nice girls ;) . I haven't seen Sisterhood of Pants (HA!) yet, but I hear it's a good'n. Now, we have similar pet peeves. Every one else posted something profound like not buckling up kids, driving slow/fast etc....NOT us! I HATE the SOUND of people eating, especailly bananas. I ALSO hate when a kid (of mine) BURPS in my face! I KNEW I liked you! (write a book!)

Thanks UM!!!! I knew I liked you too from seeing the lime green mickey hanging from your bag on the endless line for autographs... I started my book only got 2 pages typed. But i will keep you posted.:flower3:

Hey everybody, check out my new ticker below. Southwest has a $59.00 each way special so I booked a vaca for the day that my girls have their last day of finals. WE'll go from LizzY's chem final to the airport. . Normally a good airfare wouldn't be enough to get me to book a vaca, but our APs run out in July and we won't renew for next year as we went so many times in the past year! I tried to book POP due to DU's adoration of that resort, but it was full, so we're doing all-stars. We had to book a split stay to get ressies there, so it's 3 nights at ASsports and 2 nights at movies. This is a Mama and her daughters trip. DH loves Disney, but wasn't up for another trip so soon. I mentioned that I would like to go once more before the passes expired and he said "go ahead take the girls, I really don't mind." I think he may be looking forward to some solitude! SO we are all set. Only 3 1/2 weeks to go!!!!

Is anyone else going to be there 6/20- 6/25? (Well I know other people will be there... I was just wunderin bout youse guyz)

I'm coloring my hair, so i gotta post fast before i'm platinum.
Good Morning Peeps!!!

I'll be MIA most of the weekend. My husband and I are getting ready to leave now to go pick up my grandma and take her to her brother's funeral.
Just wanted to let you know that my weekend will be very busy and I won't be on much. Later everyone.

P.S. Thanks Wendy for the nice comment. You too Melinda.

:cool1: School is over:cool1: DH took the older two to the fair last night and they had sooo much fun. Another friend of ours took his boys as well. I am going to let the kids sleep in as late as Joshua will let them--that will probably not be much longer :thumbsup2

I love the fair1 it's probably good that you skipped it, because for me, it's one big eat-fest!

my sister called me last night the second time they rode ToT so i could listen to her scream. i put my phone on speaker so ray could hear it and we were cracking up! it was so funny!!! she said while they were watching fantasmic and during the part when the princesses (ariel, snow white and belle) come out on the floats and she saw belle and the beast, she screamed out, "oh my god....that's beauty and the beast!!!!" then she said really quickly, "i'm sorry i just said that out loud!" because, number one, she said it REALLY loud and, number two, she figured everybody realized who that was! but because they got there so late they only had time to eat at 50's PTC and then ride RnRC and ToT (twice) and then see fantasmic, so this was her first siting of a character who she really loved and she got excited!

That's cute!

You lucky ducky! but then, i have 2 DL trips planned this summer, so who am I to be jealous?

Stayed the same this week, only by the grace of exercise. Chocolate really is like booze or crack for me. I've got to do something about that.

I'll be back after I rinse out the hair coloring. I've gotta shop for someone special's b-day.

Pigget-I saw a recipie in the Kraft Food and Family magazine for an ice cream cake that you make with ice cream sandwiches. I think you layer ice cream sandwiches, and chocolate pudding and then cover it with cool whip. Then you refreeze it. I'm sure if you looked on Kraft's website they would have a better discription of it. Isn't it nice to be on summer break?!!:thumbsup2

HERE IT IS HEATHER! It looks yummy and easy!

Thanks for the idea and the link. I made something similar last year after somone brought it to me after Joshua was born. It is a layer of ice cream sandwiches then cool whip, caramel and choc. sauce with heath bars crumled on top.

This one looks great and I even bookmarked it. Thanks again.:thumbsup2

Have a great day!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say Thank you so much for the Happy Birthday Wishes! I had a pretty good day - nothing too special but a nice day without any school work, yummy food and presents. Except I'm majorly PMSing so I'm uber-emotional. Everything is making me cry! My mom gave me the 2nd season of Gilmore Girls and I teared up. I was reading all your bday wishes, I teared up. The only dark cloud is that my dad called to wish me a happy birthday (I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number) and said that he had been having some bad sessions (I'm assuming he means of chemo). Then all those yucky guilt, sad, mad feelings started to creep in multiplied by raging hormones made for a pretty depressed shannon for a good 30 minutes. But there truly isn't anything I can do about it. I will call him back tomorrow and try to get an update.

So here's what I did for the BIG 2-7. This morning my mom asked if I wanted my gifts in the morning or after we got home. I said I wouldn't mind having a small one if there was one. Well I got a package of post it highlighters! :woohoo: Seriously, I love school supplies and I actually love highlighters but thought it was pretty funny. I went to my DB and DSIL's house to hang with them. Then my mom and I took my niece to the mall where I got yet another 2 pairs of bermudas at the gap because they were 25% off and a couple shirts. (We also got my niece a "surprise" bag from the hello kitty store. $10 gets you this big paper bag that you have no idea what is inside. Well curiousity was killing me and she really wanted something so we got it. What a deal! She got a $3 notepad set, $6 crayons and stamp set, and a $29 mini backpack! :thumbsup2 )

Then we met DB, DSIL, and DNephew at FuddRuckers. Yum! Burgers all around and my DSIL was so kind to share with them that it was my birthday so they could sing and humiliate me in front of the whole restaurant before giving me a free brownie sundae. :rotfl2: The sundae really did me in though (and it was splite amongst 4 people!). Then we headed back to their house to hang out some more for a bit before coming home. Overall, it was a nice day.

Oh, DB and family gave me, as one of my gifts, a Disney planning book  I actually don't have that one though so its always nice to have yet another book to reference.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday! Tomorrow my mom and I are hitting the big outlet mall where they have a coach outlet and I'm dying for a new purse! Hope they have some good deals.

P.S. When did we lose Dene? and why? And who else have we permanently lost? :guilty:

Just a fly by to say I am around...just got home from a LONG day of rehearsals (after an equally long day yesterday with the kids I watch acting like maniacs) and I am exhausted. The good thing is I got tons of exercise and I literally sweat through 2 sets of clothes today...ewww. And I didnt have much time to eat. The bad thing is now it is close to 9 and I do have time to eat and am starving. I will eat something peep like and call it a night I think. No time to quote just now, but I plan to go back and read while I eat something....so as to inspire me NOT to eat junk! You can read the peep thread and eat junk food, just wouldnt be right!

Have a good night and weekend everyone. I am hoping to get to check in more tomorrow...as I do nothing all day if I can help it.

Shannon, wishing you the happiest of birthdays! I hope it is great!

For me part of the support I get is just seeing my thoughts in print and reading what others are going through and how they are coping. It makes me aware that there are others out there with the same issues as me, work, home, family and life's little stressors which all affect my weight. This thread just like anything else is only as good as what each person puts into it. ANYWAY... LOVE YOU!
me too!

Thanks Sparkie! I just get attached to people. I really miss Dene, though but I dont think we hurt her feelings. I was just thinking of possibilities why so many join then quit. I'm sure there are many reasons, ya know?

So happy to see so many New Kids!

It's a lot like real life. Some people have a hard time sticking to it even tho we want them to and want to help! And some may be like me - here - everyday just not so much to say. It seems by the time I check-in I would just be repeating what everyone else has said - so I don't say anything. But when I agree it makes me feel part of the group. I agree it's nice that we have new folks continuing to join us.

I had a great time this week with my parents and my brother and his family at WDW. We rode EE for the first time - everybody except my parents. The 10 year old kind of liked it but wasn't sure she wanted to do it again! The seven year old didn't like EE or any other of the big rides this time and she's always been the daredevil. The five year old just was kind of stunned. He liked most of the rides, but EE was just a little much! They kind of worked overtime putting a little bit of everything into it! I loved tho that we got to ride the big rides this time. The last several times we were there the kids were babies and I didn't ride anything. I hadn't ridden Space, Splash, BTM, or ToT in about ten years. And when we finally got to ToT (my all-time favorite) I was afraid my stomach couldn't take it anymore, but I still loved it!!! We all rode Splash Mtn. - and bought the picture - my mom says it won't ever happen again! She typically doesn't ride anything outside of Fantasyland except for Buzz and Haunted Mansion!

Anyway, missed you all! We got internet service for a couple of days so I did check in briefly. But finally got caught up this evening.

ps - I can't add anything to the weight lost for the week, but I didn't gain any!!!! We had dessert a couple of times - split eight ways. I ate hardly anything "bad" all by myself. And we actually ended up canceling a several meals because it felt like we were "wasting" too much time!

I am still so tired! Gotta go to bed early again tonight!

OMG, I hate people's nossiies when eating. DH eats very loudly sometimes, especially cereal. EWWW. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it!

Now, what's "alli"? A new magic pill being advertised like crazy that makes you poop uncontrolled if you eat too much fat??? I HAVE TO HAVE SOME!!!!! ;)

Alli is an over the counter version of Xenical or is it Meridia? Not sure, but an over the counter version of a prescription weight loss drug. I have heard good things about it, but probably only because I choose to only read the good stuff

Okay, I know Bee went on a cruise. Have any of you done one of the three or four day cruises? How old were your kids? Did you let them go off on their own? Mine are 12 and 8. We are looking at a 3 day cruise in October and then 7 days at Disney. Just wondering how my kids will like it. Bee said her girls loved it. Can they go to the kids pools without us? We have never done a cruise before and I am so excited!

What cruiseline?

I know that disney cruise line has clubs for both of your childrens ages. The pool you have to attend with them until age 16 on most ships. But if they are in a kds club on board and take a trip to the pool then you dont because they supply the eyes to watch your children. I know a lot of kids that I use to nanny and have been on ships and they love going to the kids programs sometimes they even cry to come back to you because they wanna stay.:rotfl:
