You will not believe what ds #2 gf just did!! :faint: I so dont understand this "younger generation"

Prom is Saturday. She and I and DS coordinated to get DS the right tux vest the right flowers... etc..

so why tonight did she and her best friend come sneaking in the house with glow sticks??? Well to make DS surprised of course!! :confused3 She needed to put this in his room, and she's done it to her room, so its no biggie, and could I call DS to come home please? But dont let on we're here... ooooK...

The next thing I know - they cut open the tubes of glow sticks and were spraying his room - the ceiling, the walls, every single inch - inside his closet, inside his dresser !!! :scared1: OMFG! ARE YOU KIDDIN ME?? :scared1:

No I did not say a word negative... I called and told ds I needed him home NOW, there is a problem... he comes in, I tell him, its his room, and I - well he has to take care of it....

Now they were all giggly and silly... but I am still stunned11 wHAT A MESS!!

and why?? :confused3

I am officially an old foggiey

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Forgot to tell you about my Dr's visit Friday. He said exactly what I thought he would...that there's nothing they can do for me but a hearing aid. He said it would make the ringing stop and improve my hearing. Not sure I'm ready for that so I go back in 6 months. I'll think about it.

I feel bad about not quoting lately. I read the thread throughout the day but usually only post once or twice but I'm sure I'll forget something....

UM...Jordan and his date look so adorable. How long have they been dating? Didn't you help her pick out that dress? So pretty!

ARIES
...What a beautiful family you have! Your friend is a gorgeous bride and Ariella is just adorable!

PUNKIN...Loved your pictures on the food porn thread. Going to check out myspace next!

SPARKIE....Loved the song!!! Do you have 3 girls? For some reason I thought there were only 2 tweens/teens?

DANCE
....Love the suits! I wish I could wear a tankini but it's a no-go on my rectangular shape...gotta have the one piece. Fortunately I bought 2 at the end of the season last year so I'm all set. RE: kidless week...Danielle is right....althought the first day is hard, it's easy to get used to and good for all concerned.

LYNDA & SHANNON!!!...Have fun on your trips! Wish I was going with ya! :wave2:

BELLE...Only 9 more days of school? We go til the 31st....darn it!

SANDY, DANIELLE, MOO, NONI, TARA, MJ, FRAN, AND EVERYBODY ELSE... :wave2:

WHERE'S HEATHER??? Did she ever come back from Disney????

ALSO NOTICABLY MIA....Stacey, Fidge, Allie, Tinkabella and Jo! Please check in so we don't worry! K?

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!
:flower3:

You guys were chatty last night..although I think I fell asleep about 90m. earlier then usual!!
Ok, I had a male OB with my daughter and I will not have it any other way now I think. The practice had 3 women and one man. I chose him as my Dr but you have to see them all during your pregnancy in case they are the ones on call when you deliver. Anywho...The women were so much less patient and understanding it seemed. Maybe because as men, they cant pretend they have any clue what we are going through or something. But I loved him and was so glad when he was the one when I went into labor.

And I am a bad girl...I am way overdue for my yearly check up in the nether regions. Like 2 1/2 yrs overdue :scared1:

That song was precious!!

Glad recital #1 went ok...we expect to see some proud mama pics from you too! And I hoe you get some relief for your foot! I think there are enough of us here that suffer we could open our own Peep foot clinic!
I have always had a guy OB. Infact, he delivered my sister. One of my good horsie friends also has him. She had a difficult pregnancy and if she still uses him then he must be A-OK for that too! I think I trust them more then women docs? Sad but true.

we watch the sopranos, too. are you referring to chris? i didn't see it because i was doing something in the other room, but my ray told me about it.

i'm waiting for someone to knock off tony. i hate him! he's such a piggish jerk!
I don't like him either BUT I like how he thinks. Does that make sense? I don't think he will get knocked off. I think he will run. Only 3 episodes left so they have to do something quick. My Godfather flies private jets for Baush and Lombe. He actually flew the producer to NYC. I guess he found out the ending. I didn't want to know but he told me that if I have watched the show from day one then the ending is expected. Whatever that means. (I feel like I have said this on here before..deja vu!) Maybe he won't leave. Hmm. I just hated Christopher. Ugh. He reminded me of a little rat.

I can't believe this generation either..it's like some parents have stopped parenting!! Of course not all teenagers are bad but I see a lack of respect (and brains in your case!) all the time. When I was that age I couldn't imagine doing that. Maybe she is spoiled and thinks anything she wants to do is ok????:confused3

Have a great day Peeps! Yesterday at work the baby was with her grandma for the day and now today the 3yo will be with grandpa. Can't beat that!! Very windy/stormy looking here today...not sure I will get out for my walk.

Good morning Peeps.
Having some health issues and feeling really low since I got my new scale.Apparently the one at doctors office was right and my home one was wrong so I have 12 more lbs to lose than I thought.
I was looking at the pics. You guys all look so good:thumbsup2

I'm sad today Peeps - DS has a ct scan at 11:30 - and I know a "good mom" would drive the 3 1/2 hours down there for him... (gosh I do guilt complexes good dont I?)

Tara - that's it!! Lack of brains - no she is Valevictorian - so that means Lack of COMMON SENSE!! and what does it say about me?!! (I truly didnt think they would cut open the plastic and throw the chemicals around the room - I just didnt see that one coming!

I should just go... but 7 hours in one day driving is so beyond me, I'm a wimp. and the money for a hotel, I have to convince dh to buy plane tickets today! :scared:

Melinda:
I have 3 children. Son 18, Daughter 15, Daughter 11.

On the glow stick issue- I might have lost it and had to be someone's mama! ;) Those girls would have been cleaning that mess. I agree- some parents have forgotten how to parent. If one of my kids did something like that - ohhh- it would be bad- very bad. Kids are different these days- some dont have any respect for anyone or anything and only think of themselves. You teachers out there know what I'm talking about. Kids can only mimic(sp) what they live.

Ok- what is the reference to the "rude poster" I started reading Tara's trip report- what page?

I think it was on page 4 or 5. Just look for DVConvert or something like that. It's not that rude..just weird. She didn't write anything yest. so maybe she moved on.

It's another gorgeous day here in the SW part of Michigan. Just beautiful.

My DH had to fly unexpectedly to St. Louis this morning. 2 of his drivers there got in an accident on the way to work yesterday.

They are ok, just can't drive for a few days and he has to do their routes.

Aries: your daughter is just adorable

Have a great day!

Lynda: Have a great time on your trip. It makes me feel like I should be down there again. If you go to MGM eat at Back Lot Catering and look for David and tell him we said hi. He took care of us and my sons allergy big time!

:scared1: I have spent close to THREE HOURS on the phone trying to book air for the Sept trip!! :faint: Air Tran is $124 RT pp - United is $204 RT pp - no brainer right?? WRONG!! We have a voucher for United for $150 that expires in Oct - so I shifted dates, and called Disney, can add 1 day (I should state before I added one day the RT pp United was $277 bEFORE taxes :faint:)

I have spent hours prodding dh on this now - and I'm this ready to quit!! And I tried one last time - you cant add a voucher online... :faint: so I call, and you know all those phone centers are outsourced... To redeem the voucher I have to either 1. drive to OHARE AIRPORT! (umm NO) or 2. Mail it... ok, so I'll mail it.. NO ADDRESS :faint: :scared1: Call back, get into that stupid cycle, and wait on hold for a live person - address, IN DEARBORN MICHIGAN!! ayyiyiiyiii!! :sad2:

Its just not worth it United!! Just not! ok, well $150 + one extra day in Disney... maybe just a bit worth it.. :rolleyes1 of course dh is NOT happy to add one more day (that cost how much??? OK, but we have to have a non stop because of the horror of last United 11 hour hour one way trip) :faint:

and how is your morning??

Hi All!

Read through what I missed. Just a few comments....

MA Piglet...I am doing WW, so if you need help let me know. I do it strictly online. I just can't make the time to go to a meeting! :confused3

Eeyore...My DD had a CT Scan her freshman year of college and I tried to go with her and had an accident on my way. (OK, it was snowing and I hit a slippery spot and lost control of the car, but still.) Needless to say, I missed it. She did fine and didn't need me as much as I needed to be there. :hippie: Don't beat yourself up! You're a GREAT Mom!!!

Eventer....Still haven't caught up on your TR, but I'll get there. Sorry! :sad1:

Punkin...I need to read your TR too! So many to read and not enough time!!! :rotfl:

OK...so I scale hopped this morning and after this weekend, it says I lost a pound!!! :scared1: How? I don't know! Hope I can keep it off! I had read somewhere that if you are hypothyroid, which I am, you should have higher calories in a day. Don't know how true that is, but we'll see what happens.

Off to work and read some TR's! :cool1:

Spongie- I hope it'll just be glasses too! Poor lil' Mayson! Congrats on your Puppy's graduating puppy school! Woof!

Sandy- crap! I'd have gone ape-sh_t on them!!!!!! I'm SO glad my DS isn' t like that. Good luck on the flight! We fly Delta for free, or we would NOT be going!

Snowwhite- Good on the extra 12 pounds! Woo HOO!!! I hate my lying scale :rolleyes1 ....BUT I've lost 2 of the 4 pounds gained last week at Disneyland. YAY!

Mony2- How's the bay-bee???? Name yet?

DisneyObsession- YAY on the extra pound! It's like finding a dollar in an old wallet!

Hi Everyone !

Melinda...you are so sweet to notice that I have been MIA :cloud9: Makes we feels all warm and fuzzy to be missed.

We were at Disney from the 5-12. Punkim...I was looking out for you the whole time, I didn't see one focker :confused3

We stayed at Bonnet Creek (Fairfield Resort btw CBR and TL) It was FATASTIC ! I loved the space (2 bed/2bath) and every night we would sit on our balcony and watch Illuminations. The rooms were BEAUTIFUL. New and well furnished. They have great pools and kids activities. We stayed there for less then the cost of staying at POP.

Utah...your DS looks so handsom in his tux and his GF looks just beautiful. I was thinking about you the day before I left because I went to a local spa to get a french pedicure and the women in the room next to me started screaming. Seems she asked for a brazilian bikini wax not fully understanding what it was ! The girl doing my feet and I couldn't help laughing.

Belle8306..My OBGYM is a guy and he is super goodlooking. I mean like Dr Mcdreamy kinda hot. I almost died the first time I met him. He is truely amazing. He makes you feel like you are the first pregnant women in the world. I just love him.

Eeyore...OMG glow stick story from hell ! Crazy what some kids will go. Hope the CT scan goes well....and you are a GREAT mother !

Aries
...You are a super cutie! and you daughter is sooo adorable...looks like a fun wedding.

Not so good on the diet front this week. i put about a pound on at Disney so I am hoping to taking it off before Friday.

Keep Slimming Peeps...:cheer2:
Kim

I'm with ya! My kids are 11, 13, and 15. They need the guidance! I think I'm pretty strict, but DD15 tells me that on field trips, especially overnight ones) the kids want to know if I'll be chaperoning because they want to be in my group. Apparently They say I'm the "cool mom". This totally shocked me as I figured that they would do anything to stay away form me..The mean one! I think they actually appreciate a little guidance and it makes them feel safer!:confused3

Good afternoon peeps!

Just doing a quick check-in before I leave to drive up to Jersey for a meeting. I won't be online this eve, so no totals today. I made a yummy fruit dip this weekend that I thought I'd share.

1 pkg instant pudding (white chocolate is delish)
2 c milk
1 tub cool whip

Essentially you make the pudding just like it says on the box, then before you refrigerate it, mix in the cool whip. You can serve immediately, but I prefer to let it set-up in the fridge for a few hours or a day.

I was making it for my grandmother who has sugar issues, so I used ff/sf white chocolate pudding, ff milk, and sf cool whip. My dad summed it up in one word, "decadence" (of course I probably spelled that wrong and ruined the whole line of thought... oh well). It makes a bunch and when you use the sf/ff stuff, the whole recipe has less than 800 cals, so a tablespoon or two (or even three or four) is well less than 100!!!

I'm going to try using it instead of whipped cream a chocolate trifle next week! :rolleyes1

Swing by I leave In NJ!!!!!

I just hated Christopher. Ugh. He reminded me of a little rat.

i had to tell you this story because i know a fellow sopranos watcher would appreciate it. me and DH were in nashville one time having lunch at this little restaurant near vanderbilt university called san antonio taco company. the locals call it "SATCO" and it's REALLY GOOD.....we always go there. anyway, we're sitting on the deck outside eating and we're the only ones there except for another couple in the corner. the girl gets up to throw something away and it's ARIANA (sp?) FROM THE SOPRANOS!!! you know, chris's gilfriend that they knocked off? she was there...at satco....in nashville. i kept saying to DH, "is that really her?" because people always look different in person. she was really tall and really thin and really pretty. she was with some dingy-looking guy. i later saw a picture of her and the same guy in a magazine, so i know that was her that day. the guy she was with is the dude who plays a young waylon jennings in "walk the line." anyway, i thought it was pretty cool that we saw her there. i'm easily impressed i guess! :rotfl:
