Good morning, Peeps!
I hope you all are having a great morning! I am really jealous of all of your tickers...compared to yours mine is really very sad.:rotfl:

I have not been keeping track of my points since Sunday. I don't think I went over....but I feel so lost without journaling. It really makes a difference!

DisneyObsession-I am glad to hear that your DH is ok!

lexmelinda
-That spagetti sounds really good! I will have to make some. We loves us some pasta around here.:upsidedow

Danielle-Did I read that right? Your dad had a heart attack on Space Mountain?? And didn't say anything for 2 days! Was he ok?

Well, I am going to catch up on some TRs!

Hi! Sorry for staying away for so long. Tommorrow is my last exam. I'll be free for a bit before the baby comes.

Just want to say hi and hope everyone is doing well. I promise to be around more.

You all look awesome!

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

I slept in again today. Been waking up in the night and thus catching up in the mornings.

RE: Meatless meals....I have been making whole wheat spaghetti and jar of sauce with a whole bag of frozen "fiesta" style veggies...broccoli, peppers, onions, beans, etc. It rocks! I make a huge batch and then divide it up in little Lean Cuisine size containers and take it to work for lunch. Try it!

Love the menus!
Tara....Ritz dino crackers?
Lynda...Have you given up dessert with breakfast?

Gots to get ready for work. I'll check back when I get there....another boring week at work this week!!!
:rolleyes1

HAVE A GREAT DAY! :flower3:

I hear ya about sleeping in! My alarm goes off and I can't seem to get myself out of bed! :confused3 Maybe I should go to bed earlier!

Can't wait to try your meatless meal! It sounds delicious and I know my family will enjoy it! Thanks!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: MONICA!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
Good to "see" you!!!! How are you feeling? Hope you can pop in a little more now that school is almost over!

I have been doing terrible, again.... I do fine until I get home from work and DH pulls me down the path of bad eating. He has jumped completely off the wagon in anticipation of leaving for WDW Friday, and I have no willpower in the face of wings and beer.

Today I am "working from home" so I won't even get my workout in. Gym is close to work, not home... although I will save the gas to get to work! I do need to mow the lawn later so maybe that will burn a few cals.

I wish I had your willpower Lynda! I had every intention of trying to be extra-good before my trip, and it is all out the window.

I will weigh in Thurs AM to see how much damage I have done. :sad1:

I never expected that everyone would like the idea of my spaghetti! Here's what I use but you can use any kind of sauce and veggies that appeal to you:

1 jar Classico Spicy Tomato & Basil Sauce (got some heat)
1 jar chunky store-brand sauce (cuts the heat of the spicy sauce down a little)
1 5-serving bag of frozen "fiesta style" veggies (fiesta style adds some fiber w/ the beans)
1/2 bag of frozen three-pepper onion blend veggies

I just mix it all together in a big pan til it's warm-ish, cook the spaghetti, and line up the little plastic containers for my homemade Lean Cuisines. Not sure about the calorie count but I don't use much spaghetti in each container cause it's the sauce I really like.

Here's another recipe from Hungry Girl that I thought sounded yummy:

UPSIDE DOWN COCONUT CREAM PIE

(130 calories, 5.5g fat, 15 carbs, 1.5g fiber, and 1.5g protein = 3 points)

Love coconut cream pie? This is a much, much lighter, but still satisfying swap!

Ingredients:
1 Jell-O SF Vanilla Pudding Cup
1/4 tsp. coconut extract or 1 tsp. Torani SF Coconut Syrup
1 Honey Maid graham cracker square, crumbled, or a small handful of crushed 100 Calorie Pack Honey Graham Thin Crisps (1/4 pack)
Fat Free Reddi-Wip
shredded coconut

Directions:
Scoop pudding out of plastic container, and place in dish. Mix in extract or syrup. Top with crushed graham crackers and a mini handful of shredded coconut. Finish off this creamy coconut cloud with a squirt or two of FF Reddi-Wip. Mmmmm. (Serves 1)

That sounds delicious!!!!! I'll have to do some shopping to make this, but it's worth it!!!! :thumbsup2

I just called my AAA TA and bought tickets for Nov 12th for MVMCP!!! :cool1:

My friend & I were talking about it yesterday and decided we would go since Nov 12th is the second day we are at Disney!! I am sooooo excited!!! I can't wait to go!!! I never thought this would be something I would get to do, but timing is everything!!! :thumbsup2

Mmm those both sound yummy! I'm not a coconut fan, but I see lots of potential -- maybe something close to cheese cake? Must experiment.

I'm going to go ahead and post my food totals for today, so that I'll maybe manage to stick to the plan:

  • B: Cottage Double -- Peach (130)
1 cup Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal (plain - no milk) (190) [very filling btw]
  • L: Turkey Pita (yummy, yummy!)-- soft whole wheat pocketless pita w/ 1 tbsp lite ranch dressing, 1 svg smoked turkey, fresh snow peas, and lots of sprouts (340)
    apple (50)
  • S: Bananna with a smidge of peanut butter (150)
  • D: 8 oz Low Sodium V8 (50)
    Red Baron personal pizza (410)
    Baby Carrotts (50)
  • S: WW Lemon Cake (80)

Total: 1450 well w/in my 1600 - 1700 limit!! :woohoo:

I also plan to treadmill and/or walk the dog for 45 minutes. I'm working on upping the water intake. One soda, one water, one soda, one water!

Happy shrinking to all!

Your turkey pita sounds yummy! (I really do like food that's good for you!) I keep meaning to get pita bread, and I always forget to look for it! Something else I'll have to try to remember to pick up after the trip. Of course, I probably won't need to eat for a week or so after I come home.

I need help, Peeps! I am trying to research scales, so I can exchange mine before we leave for WDW, preferably before weigh in this week. I am looking at a couple of different ones, and I want to make sure I get one that is really accurate. The one I have was a Homedics one that was about $59 or $69. I am looking at a Tanika one that is $99! :scared1: It is glass and measures other things as well, like my current scale - body fat, calories needed to maintain, calories needed to lose, etc. And I am also looking at a WW Conair one that is about $49. I believe it was glass too, but I think it only gives weight. There was also another Homedics one, but I'm not sure I want to go with the same company again. I don't know. Anyway, I am having difficulty finding reviews or accuracy information on scales on the internet. Does anyone know where I might find something like this? :confused3 TIA Peeps! :)

I am absolutely no help Lynda - my scale is the old fashioned, non electronic one! I googled Bathroom Scale + reviews - here's one site that popped up... http://www.martinrothonline.com/personalhealthmonitor/body_fat_monitors.htm

I am having a tough day, mentally physically. Its a hurdle I have to get over, but I do feel so overwhelmed. I was in too much pain yesterday, I walked instead of jogged.. and knew I had to bite the bullet and get shoes. (I've been running in $25 Sam's club reeboks) So I went to Sportmart - none in my size... I went on the internet, and with shipping it would be around $120... I went to the area Running Store, got fitted, examined, and came out with a $93 pair of New Balance - they are awesome... stabile for my pronating foot... etc.. but.. the hard part... they are size 12 :scared1: That makes me cry... seriously... I have clown feet, I am such an outrageous blob... and I can hear everyone laughing at me, like "you think you can run" umm no... and it was hot today... I did 2.54 miles in 35 min... but walked a bit - felt overheated... then when I started my wogging again, I felt so heavy, too heavy to be doing this crap.

Glad you're feeling better. sorry you have so much to catch up on (I know how that is). Right there with ya on looking forward to summer break. Our school administrative assistant has the countdown posted on her white board. We have 28 more school days. :woohoo:

Thank you! We are down to 13 days of school (plus I have an extra teacher day the day after Memorial day). I started a count down chain when we had 24 days left. Each day during our morning math calender I have one student take off a link and we tally the days left (I have 24 students that is why I started there). They love to count the chain!:)

I really want to see a loss this week and next. We leave for WDW next Thursday (so I'll have to weigh in a day early), and I want to hit my goal and surpass it by a few pounds if possible (like I thought I had already done). And I still have to exchange my stupid scale. I am feeling the time crunch here! Does doing the single-digit dance :yay: :cool1:  :dance3: count as exercise? :confused3

Lynda, you are doing great! You are so strong!:yay:

I'm not sure about the best one. I got a cheapo one at Walmart that I'm not too crazy about. I would almost go with another brand just to be sure. Have you tried Target online? I know that they have reviews with some of their items. I'm sorry I'm not more help!:)

Hi Sandy!:) The main thing is you are out there and you are moving! 35 minutes is a great time! You should pat yourself on the back for getting out there. Your Peeps are right beside you cheering you on! :cheer2:

Hi Peeps! :goodvibes It is actually kind of hot here today! I'm loving the sunshine though! I had a hard time with the DIS last night. It was really slow. Hopefully, things are cleared up now. Work is still really busy! 26 days until WDW and I can't wait! On the weight front I took a peek this morning and I am not liking what I am seeing. After being sick last week I know I didn't make the best food choices. It is just discouraging that you work so hard to take off a pound and it can come back so quickly. I am back on the wagon now and all I can do is move forward from here. I am going to go ahead and post my totals since I am pretty sure I know what I am eating the rest of the day.

B-2 pks of sugar free maple brown sugar oatmeal (4)
L-L.Cuisine Egg Roll Meal (6) Hostess 100 cal cupckes (1)
S-Cheese Stick (1)
D-BK grilled chicken salad w/ my own dressing (10)
S-Fiber One Bar (2)
Water so far-56 oz. I will get in more. Total Points (24)

You are NOT too heavy to be "doing this crap" as you put it. In fact, it is the BEST thing that you can do for yourself and your health! 2.54 in 35 min is GREAT! I can barely run to the end of my driveway.

I know how it is to have a fat day. I tried to go through my shorts on Monday to see if I had any I could wear to my trip, and all but one pair are still way too tight. Made me feel like complete crap.

I wear a size 10 shoe and have a flat feet, one foot 1/2 size bigger than the other, and one deformed foot (had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) so I can understand the shoe dilemna. I hate shoe shopping.

My fav sneaker so far is a $20 wide-width Dr Scholl's one from Wal-Mart. I bought some fancy-schmancy pair for my first WDW trip and my feet ached something fierce. DH had bought the Dr Scholl's for nursing school so I thought I would give them a shot, and I love them. Not sure if they would work for running, but they are great for walking and elliptical.

I have done okay so far today, haven't eaten much. Mowed the lawn for 2 hours, including some 2' brush in the back... calories burned according to some charts I looked up, ~600.
L: cinnamon raisin bagel (140) w/ ff cream cheese (20)
S: 1oz 75% light sharp cheddar (60), 3 crackers (40).

Dinner, no idea. Likely something not very dietary, sigh.

Good news though, stepped on the scale this morning and am down to 194.6. That is a 1lb from Friday and the lowest that scale has said for a LONG time. Yeah, yeah, I know I shouldn't weigh every day...

On a different note, I tried Jergen's Natural Glow today. Has anyone ever tried that before? I am the palest person, so hopefully this will add a bit of color. It smells sort of nice, too.

I would go with the Tanika. I know that brand name and I know they have a good reputation for being reliable. Maybe try a site like epinions or something? They give reviews on all sorts of products. And dont laugh...maybe HSN or QVC? They have customer reviews there too. Even if you dont buy one from them maybe do the research there. (personally I love shopping there though! They offer split pmts so it makes biting the bullet on a bigger purchase easier, at least mentally!)

:grouphug: You are not too heavy! It is fantastic that you are moving and even if it is slow at first, who cares!! You are taking steps in the right direction to be healthy. I feel your pain on the shoes too. That is alot, but if they feel good and last a while it is worth it. If I were to add up what I have spent on the cheap shoes I was hoping would help me, I could have bought at least a $1,000 pair of shoes by now! And I am a shoe size 10 on a good day, usually a 11, so I can feel your pain there too. Nothing cute ever comes in anything bigger than an 8 it seems.

Been a rough day for me. I am very moody today for some reason. Just chewed out my DH and I really feel bad but he sort of deserved it a bit :rolleyes1 I had to leave to go back to the chiropractor and I have my daycare kids and my daughter home today. The mom knew he would be with them while I was gone, so no big deal there. The problem is that when I left he pretty much let them do whatever. I came home to a HUGE mess in the toy room and the kids about to go outside. Ummm....we clean up as we go here, they know that and he knows that. He claims they just did it. But even so, they were about to all go outside and leave the mess. And they were going home in about 30 min, so I am betting it would have still been there long after they left for me and DD to clean up  I guess in the grand scheme of things it isnt a huge deal to anyone but me...but I set the tone as far as the rules go from day one, and him letting them do as they please for an hour could take me a week of re-programming :rotfl:

On the good side of things, I have been eating decently today and the scale didnt show a huge gain today like I thought it may after a bad weekend. :wizard: I think I must have had some help from the diet fairy because there is no way I didnt gain something the way I ate this weekend :sad2: I wont do that again regardless because it will hit me big time next time for sure!

dance, sorry about the moodiness. Sounds like DH deserved a bit of chewing out, though!

Since I feel like posting some more, I will. I feel today like I post too much and am a thread-killer, but oh well.

I have an after pic of my haircut:

Hi everyone! Sorry I don't have time to catch up on all the pages I missed but I wanted to do a drive-by posting.

Thanks everyone for the 100 cal pack info. I tried Target, but ours didn't have them yet. I will try our Super WalMart.

Shannon, you have such a beautiful face. I like the long bangs idea. It will frame your face, but not detract from it. :thumbsup2

My problem is I have a long forehead. :lmao: So my bangs have to be either really long and swept off to the side, or just right above my eye brows. Any other way and it emphasizes my big head! LOL

BTW, I stayed the same last week, but it's because I'm retaining water. Now that I've been to the bathroom 500 times in the past 2 days, most of it's probably gone. But I decided not to weigh until I get back from Disneyland.

I have not been keeping track of my points since Sunday. I don't think I went over....but I feel so lost without journaling. It really makes a difference!

Daisy, I don't know how long it has been there, but I love your siggie pic!!!

And I blew off counting my WW points this past week and was up at weigh-in today. So I got one of the 3-month journals and am going to do better at tracking my food. I was SO close to 30 pounds

Hi! Sorry for staying away for so long. Tommorrow is my last exam. I'll be free for a bit before the baby comes.

Just want to say hi and hope everyone is doing well. I promise to be around more.

You all look awesome!

 Hang in there, Sandy! Your shoe size is perfectly appropriate for your height!

You are doing GREAT with your walking/wogging/jogging. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have an after pic of my haircut:
