does your husband know a guy named jon stewart?

I am not sure .... I can ask when he calls. Do you "know" a rank or anything? or what job he does?

Are you close to Kennesaw? I will be leaving on Tues to go to my parents house, and taking a friend (her hubby is deployed) and her kids to St. Mtn. Yeah!:confused3 She wants to go. I have been soooo many times. Anyway, I will ask DH if he knows your friend. I am surprised they are letting him out right now with everyone here about to deploy soon.

i don't know his rank. i know he has the highest rank you can have without having a college degree. i know he has some sort of leadership role. just don't know the details. he got into some great program at kennesaw state and he's considered officially out of the army on july 31st. they let him out for four years to finish school and then he comes back as a higher rank or something like that.

i live in jefferson, which is a teeny tiny town near athens. you can smell the bulldog poo from my front porch.......:scared: sorry if you're a bulldog fan...i'm not! (obviously.) i do depositions in alpharetta all the time and one of my best friends actually lived there for awhile, so i'm kinda familiar with it. small world!

Lynda, glad the wedding is still on. DH and I are off to lead a marriage prep retreat in a few minutes. I might share your friends' experience to remind people not to sweat the little things on their wedding day.
Morning Peeps! I did well this week put am not oosting my loss because it is really just losing part (not all) of the weight that I gained on my vacations. When I get back to where I was pre Disney and Cape Cod I'll post losses again....hopefully next Friday or the Friday after.

Again, I'm right there with you PD. I had a big gain at DL, and earlier in the week I showed a big loss, but today many of the lbs. seemed to creep back for no apparent reason. I'm taking my food diary with me on the retreat to keep myself honest.
See you all Sunday night after I put DH on a plane to UCLA for a teachers' union conference. I'll be flying down next weekend to meet him for our Engaged Encounter convention, and then our DL rendezvous without the kids!
:yay:

I do work out..not nearly as much as i should though..you hit that one dead on. BUT the last 2 weeks i have done at least 3 days of 30 + cardio..mostly treadmill/WATP dvds..so its a good start. i do my crunches/toning stuff every other day. I am going to make an effort to work out at least 4-5 days a week and vary it. I also decided that 40 bucks a month i am not paying WW anymore ( to do ito on my own) i might pay to curves and that way i will belong to a "regular" gym and the local curves..which i really liked doing a few years ago

That’s sounds like a great plan.:thumbsup2

secondly, i don't think there's any certain weight loss plan that works for everyone. everybody's different and you have to find what works for you. i've tried a lot of things - south beach, atkins, slimfast, etc. the one thing that's working for me is just drinking lots of water, exercising with weights and cardio about 4 times a week and writing down EVERYTHING i eat and keeping my calories around 1,500 per day. but like i said, you just have to stick with what works for you....the hardest part is figuring out what that is! good luck!!!

I totally agree – everyone is different with what works. In the past Atkins has worked for me, but I felt healthier with Weight Watcher. It also helps me to journal everything…I journal my point and exercise.

Congratulations to all of you losers!!!! :cheer2:

I’ll post (hopefully) my weight loss tomorrow! We are in need of a new scale at home – the one we have, weighing yourself, well you get three different weights. I think I’m down 1 pound but that won’t be official until tomorrow. Hopefully, it’s a true weight.

Last night I took Pilates (again) with a different teacher and this one was torture! I’m new to Pilates and wanted to background to what I did during last Saturday’s class. Saturday’s class was a little bit more fun and better paced.

I’ll be taking Pilates again tomorrow morning, after Weight Watchers….Tonight though it’s just the treadmill and me!

My week caught up to me... ate mexican tonight and am drinking beer. Bad me!!:guilty:

don't feel bad......you're not alone. we went to eat mexican tonight too. it's my one cheat meal a week and, by golly, i'm taking it! although i do have to say....i was quite disappointed when i got back from the bathroom that DH had ordered a 1/2 pitcher of strawberry margaritas instead of the real thing...:scared: the man has known me since i was 17 and he still doesn't know that i HATE strawberry margaritas??? :confused3 what? bleh!!!!!!! i drank half of mine and gave the rest to him and ordered myself a regular one. so nasty!

Hi Peeps!

Today was the last day of camp and clinic. Which means I don't have to answer to my annoying supervisors anymore...now I'll get to answer to other supervisors in the real world. Anyway, I was sad actually that camp ended. J., the autistic camper with lots of other things going on behaviorally, etc., actually jumped in my arms when her mom came to get her. My supervisor even noted the bond we had made over the past couple weeks. She really is a cutie...when I wasn't peeling her off bookshelves anyway  .

Now I get to do fun fun client paperwork like Progress Reports and Progress Charts...and study for a Final I have on Tuesday. A little nervous about that actually but I do have the time to study for it. I just have to study ;) .

I've decided I'm treating myself to a new Vera Bradley Tote to celebrate the end of clinic and the start of my externship. I already have the "vera" in java blue and I'm loving the new fall prints that came out...so that is my plan for tomorrow.

Crush update. A. walked me to my car yesterday afternoon and we had a little talk. He is super stressed out and basically said that he absolutely wants to see me again but he just hasn't had time to think about it with all the school stuff he has going on. I guess I can't complain...I only have 2 individual clients to his 6! Plus one of his supervisors is killer. Anyway, we both should be finished with everything by mid to late next week and then hopefully we will get together for date #2. I also made it clear that I'm leaving it up to him to do the asking since he is the one that is super busy while I'm just sort of busy. He was super cute and flirty too so I feel much better about everything. I feel in control. Sort of.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :cutie:

Shannon that's wonderful! I am glad that he took the time to let you know what was going on.

Dawn, thanks for the encouragement. This week has been so stressful and I just gave in, after a 45 min commute home (through a raging thunderstorm), following a 10 hr workday that I barely to scarf down lunch at my desk, (during a conference call at 3PM).

I promise to jump back on tomorrow. I may even hit the gym as well as going skating.

I know exactly where Jefferson is, my friends lived there while they were at Law School at UGA, I went to North GA in Dahlonega, so not so much of a UGA fan.

Anyway, DH does not know your friend. I can tell you that your friend is going into a good program. He is enlisted right now and after college he will go back in as a commissioned officer. My DH went to college while he was enlisted also (but worked and did school as the same time - no children and no war made that much easier) I wish him the best.

Great talking to you !

Jennifer

i can't believe your doggie's breed got censored!

It's shih tzu, no matter how it gets pronounced.......:lmao: I cracked up when some one called to shedule an appt for her brand new shih tza-poo puppy (shih tzu/poodle cross)

Woo Hooty to all the loosers this week!!!! It's great to see all the new bling!

Thanks for the welcome back wishes. I totally missed every one but had a hard time trying to post when I was feeling so down.

Yeah - I noticed I spelled it wrong (although he makes me mad a lot....new puppy and housebreaking-so the wrong spelling is more fitting to the dog)...I was a little stressed this morning with the "baby bird", and 3 kids stressing over the bird.

hello all! I have been a lurker for long enough, (at least 100 pages recently and skimming over the past months) I think I am really ready to do this thing now. I'm tired of reading all of the weight losses and feeling left out and jealous!:guilty:
glad you decided to show yourself! Welcome!

I'm in Hot Springs for a couple of days. Eating - not so good, but I'm going to do some crunches. That's definitely something I never would have done before!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

OMG!!you may know my husband's family, if I figure out how to use PM I will send you their names. But then, what if you know them and don't like them. are you going to hold it against me;)

I'm just happy he isn't an old boyfriend or something! :lmao:

My week caught up to me... ate mexican tonight and am drinking beer. Bad me!!:guilty:

don't feel bad......you're not alone. we went to eat mexican tonight too.

Make that 3 of us... we ate Mexican on our way to the Rascal Flats concert in Dallas (which was great by the way  )

I feel in control. Sort of.

Sorta, kinda, not really? (Sorry, couldn't help myself... I've been saying that for years and you have to say it fast... "you wanna go to that new movie?" "sorta, kinda, not really"):upsidedow

Good morning all just checking in before my hectic day begins. Last night I had about 15 helpers and we stuffed 150 backpacks. I am about to leave to meet the set up team to make sure tents and tables and such are ready for all the supplies by 8:00. We will have the first people in line waiting before we actually begin at 9:00--so I like to make sure we are welll organized early. This is our major community outreach--adopting 2 low income areas and giving all supplies that are on their school lists. It is a lot of work for me, but I love to see the look on the faces of the people we are helping. My own to older kids help out as well and that is a blessing for me to watch as well.
Hope that everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend.

I understand completely. I wasn't intending to call you out, that's a name that's commonly mispelled. I hope this morning is going better for you.

Just got back from my WW meeting - - and I am down 2.6 for the week and 6.4 since rejoining WW 4 Weeks ago:woohoo: .

I had to cancel my Pilates for this morning -- My back has been really stiff since I woke up and thought it best not to push.

Well, have a great day everyone!

Jodi

I"m in reading mode!

One of the key in the laptop will not work for me.... I have to rethink what to type - it crazy weird!! I hit it and hit it with one finger... it may work... but not yet!!

Are you planning on '08??

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Just trying to get caught up on yesterday although I probably should have gone back much farther than that. Looks like it's going to be gloomy here today so no pool and lotsa house cleaning. I'm way behind on the laundry. :laundy:

Tomorrow is DS's 7th birthday so being the lazy mom I am, I talked him out of a birthday party and into a night at a hotel and an amusement park! So we are going to spend the night in Cincinnati tomorrow night and go to King's Island on Monday. :yay:
NONI....WE MISSED YOU! Prayers for a bigger better new job! How is your husband? Did he have his surgery?
So, they finally understood what I was trying to imply, and told the children, that they would take care of the the baby bird.
You're a genius! Welcome to the peeps! Your kids sound spread out in age like mine. I have two teens and DS7.
As for my weigh in info, I am down 2 lbs! So my total loss is 30.6 lbs.
Love the new ribbon! Way to go! I'm so glad the wedding is on! And good luck today!
I started at 194 & am down to 186!!!! in 17 days!!!!
Woo-hoo! Way to go! :yay:
the man has known me since i was 17 and he still doesn't know that i HATE strawberry margaritas??? :confused3
:rotfl2: He'll know NEXT time!
I also made it clear that I'm leaving it up to him to do the asking since he is the one that is super busy while I'm just sort of busy.
Bravo! He sounds adorable but just conscientious about his school work. I'll bet you get lots more attention when school is over.
I'm in Hot Springs for a couple of days. Eating - not so good, but I'm going to do some crunches. That's definitely something I never would have done before!
Awesome! Have fun this weekend!
Good morning all just checking in before my hectic day begins.
This is us next weekend at our church. Our outreach includes school supplies, prayer counseling, some school clothes, carnival games, live music, and free food. I'm in charge of carnival games. We have done this outreach every year but this year for the first time we are doing it on Sunday evening. I'll let you know how it goes and I hope that your day today is a blessing to all concerned!

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY!
