DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 4

We ended up not going to the drive-in tonight. It was too hot! Tara, I would love to have a dollar theatre near us. The closest one is an hour away!
Ours gets a little "scary" on Friday night with rough crowds and people bringing babies into the late showing. C'mon people...you are paying $4 for two tickets. Hire a freakin' babysitter!! (stepping off soapbox) So we tend to do the matinees.
We have a drive-in about 45m. away. I love it but I always fall asleep during the 2nd movie since it doesn't usually start until after 11pm!
okay......I PROMISE......this will be my last sopranos-related post! :guilty:

one of my friends posted this on myspace and i thought i'd share since we were just talking about it. i didn't write this, so if you disagree (or agree), don't take it out on me! ;)

In fact, the ending was genius if you've paid attention to the show or are just a fan of well developed well thought out plots that all tie together and have the memory of a champ to remember it all the ending was simple, he got killed, but let me tell y'all why and explain in detail... There was 4 people in the room total who had a reason to kill tony.....

The two black guys were paid before to kill Tony when his mother put a hit out on him but he was clipped in the ear in Season One.

The trucker at the booth near Tony was the brother of a Trucker, Christopher killed in DVD player robbery. We last saw the brother when he went to identify his dead brother's body.

And lastly, from the earlier seasons, the Italian man who was sitting at the counter stool, who the camera kept focusing in on, is Nikki Leotardo, Phil Leotardos nephew. He was in one of the early season episodes where Phil and Tony have a sit down....

Here is where the genius comes in....

When Tony walks into the Holston's, you see the camera focus on him, then it switches to his perspective, and you see him looking @ the booth hes gonna sit at...

Then the camera switches back to Tony's face, then it once again
switches to his perspective, and it shows him looking @ the door and looking @ the people come in..... Everytime the door opens the chimes sound.......

Carmela walks in, Chimes.
AJ walks in, Chimes.

This all happens while Meadow is parallel parking, still trying to get inside the restaurant....

At this point the camera switches back to Nikki Leotardo who goes in the bathroom...

Then it goes to a scene where Meadow finally parks and starts running into the diner...

The door is about to open, Tony looks up...

and No Chimes...

No Music...

Everything just goes black...

In one of the early episodes of the Sopranos, Tonys is talking with Bobby about what it must feel like to die.

Bobby says, "at the end, you probably dont hear anything, everything just goes black!"

This idea was revisited in the second to last episode during the
last seconds of it, when Tony is about to go to sleep and he flashes back to the memory of him and Bobby on the boat... "You probably dont hear anything everything just goes black"

So in the end, the Journey song was playing, the chimes on the door sounded but when Meadow came in, someone killed Tony.

This is the reason you didn't hear or see sh!t when he died.... it was from his perspective... and everything went black, then the credits.

You know what...I think you are on to something. I will have to watch it again this weekend to see the perspective thing. I'm going to run this by DH if he ever stops playing PS2 and comes upstairs. This is the 2nd night in a row I have been up until midnight and I get up at 6am!!

Night Peeps!!

Also, I want to go to the library and get some books. I love being able to read non-teacher books over the summer. Any suggestions of books or authors?

I hope everyone is having a great day!:)
I pm'd you on the progesterone question. If anyone else wants to know about it, pm me. I thought I'd spare the guys the details.

I'm reading a Susan Isaacs book now. She's funny and a great storyteller. I also love Alice Hoffman's books for adults. Turtle Moon is one of my absolute favorites. All of her books are relationship type stories that have something otherworldly or supernatural in them. Not really way-out fantasy or sci-fi, but like Wuthering Heights (which she retells in Here on Earth). Now you've got me excited about her. I've got to get to the library soon. You might have seen a couple of movies based on her books. One was Practical Magic with yummy Dr. Kovach from E.R. as a no-good hunk and some sweet views of sisterhood (my sisters and I watched it at our slumber party last year). The other was Aquamarine, which is a kids' book and a movie that my 17 y.o. daughter and I loved. Can you tell I am really into this author?

Well, today started off with a bang. It was the kindergarten songfest, so we had both am and pm kinder classes in the room before we headed over to the cafeteria to practice singing before the parents got there. As we're trying to hand out notices to the kids about tomorrow, I look up, and one of my partner's students is covered in This is gross so don't read it if you are feeling queasy crimson vomit running out of her mouth and nose. I thought she had blood coming from her lungs, or her brain, or God knows what. I call out to my partner and say I'll take the girl to the office. When I get there, the custodian is in the office, looks up, and asks the little girl if she has a big sister. It turns out that the mom of the two girls decided they needed to lose weight, so she made them both drink some blended drink with beet juice for breakfast. Both girls were just getting over the flu anyways, and I can tell you right now that beet juice for breakfast would make me hurl, too. Not a nice start to a stressful day. Then, while we were practicing, one of the girls from another kinder class shoved a little boy, chair and all, right off the stage. He wasn't badly hurt, but gosh! I'm gonna have me a margarita come Friday night!

:scared: THAT was gross! You won't be getting that out of your memory files any time soon. Poor girls! Beets are one of the veggies in V8 which is pretty good but it takes the 7 other veggies to mask the beet flavor!

GOOD MORNING!!!:sunny:

Only 2 pages since yesterdee??? And since I don't watch the Sopranos, I skipped those parts...very short reading today.

Also between oily farts and beet vomit, I will not be hungry for the VBS snack today! :thumbsup2

That's OK....I had a Little Debbie Swiss Roll last night while mom and I watched National Treasure. Do you are have Little Debbies or are we just "Lucky in Kentucky"? I don't usually buy that delicious junk food but since Mom was going to be watching the kids every afternoon.........

FIDGE!!! You're getting better! I'm so happy! :yay: :yay: :yay:

LYNDA....:thumbsup2 on the before/after pics!

EVERYBODY ELSE.....:wave2:

Gotta to go get my lesson ready for VBS.

HAVE A GREAT DAY! :flower3:

Lost a pd. with AF this month...super weird. I am going to log it on
my ticker b/c it makes me feel better. Even if it gains itself back by Fri. Have a great day Peeps!! My best friend works in a eye Dr's office and gets me in on all the studies that have there for $$. I have to go for an hour today and tomorrow and I will get $65. Not too shabby!

Good morning all!! We too have Little Debbies, but we never buy them.

Yesterday I get home from work at noon and all the workers are gone fore they day. It was just to hot for them to work. I know at 3:30 it was 99 degrees and not telling what it was with the heat index and I am sure at noon it was much worse. Supposed to be upper 90's again today---just love these hot, humid day!

Have to go get ready and Joshua is awake---have a good one.

Mmmmm.... I LOVE Little Debbie Swiss Rolls! Around my house Ho-Ho's are the generic Swiss Rolls.... :rotfl:

I actually slept well last night -- haven't been sleeping more than an hour or two at a time :scared1: for a few weeks. It's amazing what 8 hours of uninterupted sleep can do for your outlook!

I had to take a "mid-week-peek" at the scale this morning. Imagine my suprise -- I'm down two from last week. They'll probably be back by Fri morn, but I'll take them for now!!

I leave next Tues for NYC and would really like to be down a total of 25 or 26 before I leave. That way if I gain a lb or 2, I won't be that far off track. I won't sweat it if I'm not, but it would be nice. Now for the on-vacat food plan. 1. Absolutely no sugary or alcoholic drinks -- water, unsweet tea, and diet cola for me. 2. Breakfast must be HEALTHY and low cal. -- preferably including a whole grain (although I might break this one morning for a hot NY bagel :rolleyes1 ) 3. I will have grilled chicken on salad w/ oil and vinegar type dressing (or equiv) for either lunch or dinner each day. 4. I will pass up the bread plate at least once a day. 5. I will "splurge" on something each day so I don't feel deprived. 6. I will not count calories while I am away, but I will make the healthiest choice available.

Any other suggestions for my "vacation eating manifesto?"

Hope everyone has a skinny day!

Hi everyone!I haven't been on much...kinda down I guess.I have gained back 10 lbs of the 15 I had lost.:sad1: Today will be the day that I turn it around though...I am determined.Last night I played softball with my church(they didn't have enough) and I had a blast.:goodvibes It had been about six years since I had played but I didn't embarrass myself.Going to try to make it to the gym but not sure ...Rachel still isn't feeling a 100%.

good excuse for the little debbie's!!! :thumbsup2 and yes, i GREW UP on little debbies. we always had the oatmeal creme pies or the star crunches in my house. i think the star crunches are little debbies, right? of course i don't by them anymore...but maybe my mother will visit and i'll have an excuse to buy them, too! :rotfl:

Ok, I got it now, but that was funny.

Just my weirdness coming out!

Have a great day.

Remember before you put it in your mouth ask: Am I really hungry? Am I going to regret this later? And then wait 5 minutes to see if you still want it.

Yayyy! It's day 3 of trying to cut way back on soda pop.

I drink it to wake up, and again when I feel the withdrawl headache coming on.

So far so good!

I am testing the "retaining water" theory of diet soda. So far, by substituting crystal lite and (ice frakin' COLD) water, I haven't lost any "water weight" that I know of.

I think when people switch from regular sugar sodas to water or even diet drinks, the weight loss is dramatic because of the HUGE amount of sugar in the soda. Never "drink your calories" unless it's to replace a meal.

Anyone taking alli yet? I really want honest opinions instead of the advertising.

I had the WORST dream last night! In my dream I was putting Norah in her car seat and the usual "I DO IT MYSELF" drama occurred, so I said "fine" and slammed the car door. Well, little did I know, she had somehow leapt out of her carseat and I had slammed the door on her foot!!!! The worst part is I was YELLING at her to Be QUIET!!!

That dream just traumatized me!

I must be crazy!! About a month ago I decided to drive down to my parents by myself with the kids. It's almost a 12 hour drive!!! I'm leaving about 5 a.m. tomorrow and now that it's so close I'm wondering what in t;he world I've gotten myself into. We make the drive at least once every year but dh has always been with me and done most of the driving. I know, I'm a whimp! On the good side, I'm sooo excited to see my new niece! I've been craving a baby so I should get my fix. :cloud9: And hopefully I'll be able to see Umam & spongie while I'm there.....................by the way if we "do" lunch do I haveta be good and order fat free fufu food???? :rolleyes1
Well, I'm off to get the kids ready for their last day of school and all the tons of stuff I have to do before we can leave...................Have a great day!

Ever since I stepped up my exercise and added the extra 2 cardio days, I sleep like the dead. I used to have to force myself to bed at 1, and it would take 30 min to an hour to fall asleep, and I would wake up every couple of hours. Lately I fall asleep almost instantly at 11:30-12, wake up once to rid myself of the HUGE amts of water I have been drinking, and fall back to sleep instantly until the alarm goes off at 8:15.

WOOT on the two pounds!! :yay:

okay......I PROMISE......this will be my last sopranos-related post! :guilty:

one of my friends posted this on myspace and i thought i'd share since we were just talking about it. i didn't write this, so if you disagree (or agree), don't take it out on me! ;)

WARNING: If you are sick of all of the Sopranos talk, just skip this post completely!

But I just can't let this go with out a comment! I have a few problems with this theory. (And trust me, I'm not taking it out on you. Just need to throw in my two cents and give a little different perspective on it.)

My first problem is with the theory that four people in the diner had reason to kill Tony. It is possible that these people were planted in the scene to make you think something might be happening, but I'm just not buying that any of them were there to kill him.

#1 - The man in the Members Only Jacket was NOT Nikki Leotardo. In fact, that man was only credited as "Man in Members Only Jacket". And this was his first acting job ever, meaning that he never appeared on this show before. This is just a crazy internet rumor that has no basis what-so-ever. I think the fact that they had him walking into the bathroom ala Michael Corleone before taking out Captin McKluskey and Sollozzo in The Godfather helped to fuel this rumor.

#2 - One of the black guys who clipped Tony's ear in Season 1 was killed later in that same episode. So unless they found a way to bring people back from the dead, these aren't the same guys. And besides, if a hitman doesn't get his man he won't hold a grudge for 10 years.

#3 - The truck driver's brother. I have a real hard time believing that a common man like the truck driver's brother would have the guts to take on the mafia. Just doesn't seem like a valid argument to me.

#4 - How would these people have known that Tony was going to be there? Nobody but the four Sopranos knew they were going to be eating dinner there. So it would have been the biggest coincidence ever that these four people with reason to kill Tony would have shown up at the same time as Tony and his family, with the express purpose of killing him.

My other big problem with this theory is that you do hear the chime of the door just before it cuts to black. If I recall, it goes something like "Don't 'ching-ching' (Tony looks up) Stop".

So I'm going back to my original theory that nothing happened. All of these minor characters were put in this final scene to add drama, and to illustrate how even the most mundane, ordinary people can seem threatening when you live the life that Tony lives. You never know if the next person who comes in that door is there to take you out.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled Disney and Weight Loss discussions.

Well folks, obviously I haven't been on that much since I returned home from WDW. I have a feeling this summer is going to be CRAZY! I think the September trip is going to be here before I know it because the weekends are so full here! (And I love summer and don't want it to end, so it will FLY BY!)

First, we had the Gwen Stefani concert, which was FAN-freakin'-TASTIC btw! (Seats were great, she was great, and she thanked her fans for sticking with her through "...these two crazy dance albums. A No Doubt album's next!" to which I almost cried I was so happy!) Last weekend I went out with a couple of friends (one of them being the one who's getting married in July) to scope out the location for the wedding reception for photo-ops and get pedicures. And we took my mom out for her birthday dinner on Sunday. This weekend, I have a wedding to attend for a co-worker, and I will be taking pictures while she is getting ready that morning because her photographer won't be there until 1:00. Then we have Father's Day with DH's dad Sunday. (I'm not such a fan of Father's Day since losing my dad.) The week after that is Fair week, and my Mom is heavily involved with that, so we'll spend some time there. (DH and I used to both be on the board as well and were the talent show directors, but gave that up due to time constraints.) The following Friday is my endoscopy. In July, I have the friend's wedding that I am photographing as well as pre-wedding activities I'm sure will be taking place. DH and I also want to go to Indy to visit my friend there (and maybe meet a Peep or two) and go to Chicago for a mini-peep meet and Ikea shopping trip. In August, we will be taking DH's sister to Cedar Point, and then at the end of September we have WDW again!

Right now, I am prepping for the weddings. Pricing out & researching some equipment I want to get before my friend's wedding, refreshing my memory on some technique I haven't used in a while, looking for ideas for specific shots on the internet...

I am also working on my trip report, and I desperately need to get back on the wagon with exercise! I am getting my hair cut (and possibly color touched up) tonight, but I really want to ride my bike tonight, so hopefully I'll have time. But who knows? (I drive about 30-40 minutes each way to get to my stylist.) I have been being good with food, but I haven't been writing it down, which I should.

Anyway, I wanted to let you all know why I haven't been around as much. I'm really hoping for improvement after the wedding this weekend is over. I miss my Peeps, and I need the accountability of posting totals here! I am trying to read whenever I can, and I am thinking about you all! to anyone in need and even if you don't need 'em! :) OK, gotta get back to work here! Later Peeps!

Goodmorning, Peeps!
I am really trying to keep up on this thread (along with all the pre-trippies and TR's that I am subscribed to) but I need to try a little harder.

This week has been crazy with work, trying to get stuff ready for the garage sale this weekend, and trying to finish our Disney World 07 scrapbook. I have been doing great with my eating but still not exercising. Maybe after this crazy week is over with I can start working out again.

I hope you all are having a great week! :dance3:
