DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 3

i've been sitting here reading all your chatter about the possible peep meets and sulking b/c i'm 99 percent sure i can't go.

we're going in may. at this point i don't think i can financially justify 2 trips to WDW in the same year. i know many of you go multiple times in a year, but i just can't afford that. i REALLY WISH i could, but i have to be the typical responsible me and use that money to actually pay my bills! me no likie bills.

on top of that, my best friend (whom some of you have heard me refer to as "wonderwoman") is getting married in savannah in october. that will be considered an out-of-town wedding for us (savannah is 4 hours away) and therefore will end up costing a good bit. plus i'm sure i will have many responsibilities with bridal showers and bachelorette parties for the few weeks before her wedding, which would conflict with the september peep meet.

so count me out....... but i hope you guys have a BLAST and keep us non-peep-meeters informed!

oh, and if the january peep meet still happens, that could be a possibility for me. but i won't know until closer to that time. who is going to that for sure so i can contact you directly if i end up going? i will know probably by the summer if that's something i want to budget for.

I'm sorry to hear you can't make it...I don't really have the money either. IF DH wanted to go I would never have enough..that would be an extra $500.

Well obviously the 22 is a common factor depending on the times we all arrive, maybe a little cocktail at pleasure island!

otherwise the 23 looks good for something more to do

and then again the 28th for those are still around and those just arriving!

Yeah what about dinner/drinks on the 22nd and tea on the 23rd??

OF COURSE!!!!! it's a must-do every time we're within 50 miles of that place! we love savannah.....go there usually about twice a year.

I just noticed that the Haunted Mansion will be re-opening on 9/12!! It will be great to see the changes...it closes down two weeks before our June trip!

If I lived that close I would too! From what I have seen Savannah is a pretty city. I have only been to GA once and that was on a lay over in Atlanta. I don't think that really counts.

Not sure what rack rate is..I went off the $82 a night plus tax=$92. I am sure we will have to re-figure. I don't mind sharing a bed...it's definetly a great deal so you can't pass it up! Wonders has an AP so I think we will have to sneak her into the room. But then she wouldn't get FD unless she bought a 1 day pass?? I guess we can get 4 day passes then right? I am hoping to avoid PH but that will depend on where ADRs are with all the Peeps.



I think I can add on PH later as well once we figure out where we are meeting. As for food..my favorite place is Ohanas for dinner. I would like to try and get there but if not I don't care! I hope you don't mind if I tag along with you to eat/parks....dong WDW alone would be a little odd for me. What parksattractions are a must do for you? If I get to the hotel by noon on Sat we will have that day, all of Sun/Mon and most of Tues. M.Express would pick me up around 4pm for my return flight.



We should definetly line up a meet or two for tea/dinner!! Maybe the 23rd since Wonders would leave that night?

Ok, so the official word I got was we all have to book with the same ticket to start with and I think it is a minimu of a one day ticket. I never usually do the park hopper. I just dont use it enough, especially with a kid along. Too much running around. So if Wonders wants in on the free dining and has an AP, then we all have to buy just a one day ticket to start with and do the upgrade when we get there. Of course we have to ask a CM to be sure when we book that we can do that, but I am sure it is fine. They also said we have to add $1/night to whatever rack rate is for an extra adult in the room- rates are based on 2 adults.

I have never been to Ohanas, but I wanted to last time! And DD loves Lilo and Stitch so I would like to try to do that breakfast. But since we will be there longer I am pretty flexible. I was hoping you would want to come along with us! I will need all the help I can get with a 4 yr old alone....even just to keep my sanity by having another adult to talk to!! I could take or leave AK. We rode the big stuff last time that we wanted to and there wasnt much there Amana cared about. Other than that I pretty much go commando style We really dont go that often...heck this past sept was the first time I had been in 10 yrs. And I dont know when we will be going back, so I try to fit it all in. I am a planner too I get a sub. to tour guide mike and study everything over and over. I am a disney dork.

Maybe we should just sneak Wonders in?? If she bought a 1-day for free dining it might be more then what she would pay OOP for food. I go commando style too. We did that in Aug and plan to again in June. The only thing I like at AK in EE and I don't need to ride it. I can get my fill in June!! Hey guys...boy you all have been chatty in the few hours I was away.

Here is the deal-i-o with me.

I would actually like to arrive on Friday the 21st only so I can make it more worthwhile for myself to get up there. Yes its only 3 hours but I hate driving and I'm a little weird about it. On Sunday, I'd like to leave no later than 2, but as long as I get one "real" peep meet in, I'm good to go.

I don't really want to do free dining since I'll only really be there one full day. As long as I can still eat with you, I don't mind paying out of pocket for my meals.

Bed situation. Ok, I'm a little weird about this too. I hate sharing a bed with people and the Pop beds are tiny! I joke that when I get married I will have to have Lucy and Ricky beds. Seriously, every time we go to WDW, I usually have to share a bed with a 6 yr old and I end up wanting to sleep in the tub instead. So no offense, but that just won't do Since I'll only be there one or two nights, I could just get my own room and whoever wants the extra bed can come on over? We could request connecting rooms.

Man I sound really high maintenance. Maybe I am. Hmmm...But regardless of where I'm sleeping, I'm still going to try my darndest to get there

That sounds good to me. I love the MK so I tend to spend the most time there. DD is a night owl, so she may still be up for an official meet after dinner. Dinner for sure is great. She usually stays up til about 10 at least, even at disney. I wont make the decision on how I am arriving until it gets closer. If I can get a last minute deal on airfare I will do that, but I cant afford to buy them now. Otherwise I know I can drive. No matter what I plan to arrive before noon on my arrival day. I may come in on the 21st actually. I have to think about this, and see if there will be anyone to maybe meet a day earlier.....Well, no matter what I decide, I have the driving down to a science. We usually drive all night, but without my DH I cant do that. So I will just have to figure it out! I will most likely drive 75% of the way on day one, and then have a very short drive on day 2 so I can get there by about 10:30 or 11. Unless Dene wants to come! She lives close enough to me to ride along
