It was only hard to get the little guy moving. We got to his school and NO HEAT!!! It was 55 in there...all kiddies wearing coats/hats. I came home and got a space heater and his teacher went home and got 2 of her own. NOBODY is gonna want to go to school there tomorrow! Love the new picture of Theo! He's such a cutie!!

Can't believe they were having school with no heat! Here, they would have cancelled that building for the day!

Thanks for noticing Theo's new pic!! I was left a basket of Mr. Potato Heads for Easter and we were playing with them! Of course, he had to put the "teeth" in his mouth! He is definitely too cute!!!

(I got the Potato Heads so I can get all the "Disney" parts when I go in Nov! This will be the "toy we play with at GiGi's house"!)

Just checking dates, flights etc... Lynda - the free dining ends 9/22! so I picked dates Sept 21 - 28th.... flights $150 RT... Pop $1600 for the 3 of us, WL or AKL came up at $2600 for the 3 of us... I am obsessed!!

For Jan we were thinking of going it alone, for Sept I'd have to take everyone including my parents - which would just suck some of the life out of me!!

That pic is adorable! And the potato head parts were so overwhelming! I need to take a class on how to suff a box well though.

And they had the my little pony stuff too. DD is now in love with that, and she wasnt last sept when we were there. All I see are $$$$$ when I think about another trip now I am getting excited thinking we could really have a meet in Sept though! Now all I have to do is go sell a kidney or something to pay for it If I could find a sucker here to drive it with me I think it would be more affordable.

I don't see why I wouldn't be able to go. But it would only be a couple days. Will you (or anyone) be there over a weekend? I'll be in my externship (i.e. pretty much working full time for free) so I wouldn't leave til Friday afternoon and I'd have to leave Sunday at some point. So super short. The same scenario rings true for January. Unless I have days off that I don't know about yet. If enough Peeps are coming and able to meet up and do something, then I will try my darndest to get there. I'll already have tickets thanks to my AP, just need a room.

ETA: just looked at a calendar. Going off of UM's 10 day trip, the weekends are 9/21-23 and 9/28-30 (fri-sun). FYI for those that can only do weekends or long weekends.

I am hoping to be there for a long weekend 9/22-9/25 and Dance2874 may be able to make that time plus 2 extra nights. Two days at Disney is better then none!!! What do you think?

Ok..what the h*ll kind of drugs am I on??? Why would I go the weekend FD ends???? For some reason I thought it started 9/22 even though I wrote down earlier today the actual dates of 8/26-9/22. So does that change things for anyone??? I have to go during FD for sure!!!

OR...if you book it on 9/22 (last day) do you get it for your whole stay? Maybe that's what Peeps are thinking.

You are right-o! 2 nights at Disney is definitely better than 2 nights bored at home.

I don't think you will find Darth Vader parts, but who knows. I say that because they came out with the Darth Tater boxed Mr. Potato Head that you could buy at WDW or at Target & other stores, so I'm not sure they'll release parts. I could be wrong though! We have Darth Tater, as well as Spud Trooper and R2 Potate-2(sp?).

I know free dining ends 9/22, but we booked our trip back when we were there in November, and they were offering free dining then if you booked your trip while you were staying on property. You just had to check in between some date in August and the end of September. We chose that date so we could do MNSSHP AND Food & Wine Fest, and so that DH only has one Saturday off each month. That's what he gets anyway, and the $$$ starts to lighten up if he takes off more than one Saturday each month - car business! Plus, sometimes it's hard for him to get an extra Saturday off anyway. So, I'll just be catching the tail end of some Peeps trips, but I'll be happy to meet Peeps regardless!


Oh DisneyObsession, I love Theo's pic too! I didn't notice that it was Mr. Potato Head teeth until you said so though! I LOVE the Mr. Potato Head parts! We have quite a few of those! I think I should buy more Potato Heads so I can dress up multiples!

Wonders-Dance2874 and I were thinking of splitting a room with her DD. I wonder if upgrading to a bigger room would save us more so we could all split rates?? Ideas?

I have no clue where we should stay, but we need to figure it out soon. They release the general public code on thursday (I dont have a disney visa)so we need to have an idea and try to reserve something then. I dont want them to sell out of the rooms we can afford, you know?

Does POP have suites that could sleep us 4 comfortably? I have only stayed at Shades of Green and they have two beds and a pull out couch. You're right about booking ASAP....I bet it will go fast!! I don't have that lovely Visa either. Are you thinking 9/22-9/27? I checked flights and I could be in by 10:40am. Where will you be coming from? Any must-do dining ideas?

Ok...Wonders and Dance! I worked out a sample hotel cost (let me know what can be improved??) if we were all able to share a room at POP. Too tight quarters?? But for now....if we all came up Sat with Wonders leaving on Sun, me leaving on Tues and Dance leaving on Thurs it would be $34ea for Sat, $46ea for Sun and Mon and then $92 for Dance on Tues and Wed. ASM has family suites for $202/night that we could maybe get but then you'd probably want to move back to a reg. room when I left right Dance? Just rambling ideas off!!

I could be up for tea at GF, but as you know, I don't arrive until 9/28. I am sure we will try to get there as early in the day as possible, but we are probably talking early afternoon at the earliest! So, I don't know if tea would work for us. Let me know when you decide to do it, and I'll go if I can. I think we could do Kona on the 28th. I don't see why not. (Other than we're going there in May, but if it's good, who cares? ) We definitely want to try the O'Hana dinner in September! I saw pics on the food porn thread, and I was DROOLING! We haven't made ADRs for September yet, but I am guessing we should get on that ASAP. Our invitation to join us in September was just turned down by my friend who is getting married this summer. I kinda thought that would happen since she will be tapped from the wedding. So, we have one final invitation to extend, and if it's turned down, it's just DH and I. (And that's OK too!)

My mom has been gone 3 years ... Christmas is the toughest for me...DF had said we could go to WDW this Xmas b/c it seems to get harder every year. But we just can't afford it. We plan to go in 2008. How long has your dad been gone??

He's been gone 4 years. We went to DL about 3 weeks after he passed (a trip planned long before). He was such a huge fan, and DSis and I burst into tears several places in the parks, but also felt his presence there with us.

Heres my Easter giggles: DS wnated to put sliced cucumbers in the eggs for ME since he told Dad Mom doesn't eat chocolate anymore! How sweet!

I noticed my parents watching every fork I raised like the calorie counter was over my head! I had salad for dinner while they were here and after they left I raided the candy they brough my son, and yes I did make a mess of myslef but will do better today.
I am looking at my behavior rather than theirs and my reaction to them. I am well aware of how this eatting unhealthy come aobut now I have to not give up on it or me.

My mom is the same way, but then my sis made snarky comments when I ordered the l low-fat egg substitute yesterday. There's no winning with family. but I love 'em anyway.

DH just agreed to a second DL trip this summer, just the 2 of us. We haven't done that since we had kids. I'm so excited.

You know Stacey - thank you for sharing that insight - I havent reconciled with Paul yet, I'm very upset at how he hated women - I've been taking that so seriously, that I cant take any of his teachings to heart - they werent meant for me, they are meant for MEN... (lol maybe I should just think he was stricken with menareputz disease!)

I don't think he hated women. He told husbands to love their wives, and that was close to unheard of in those times. I was told that many of his recommendations were specific letters to specific communities in response to specific problems. So when he says women shouldn't be teaching, there were some specific women he was thinking of. I also heard that the wives obey your husbands was in response to Roman rule. The Christians were treating men and women equally much more than the society around them, and the Romans thought women with such rights would lead to anarchy. So Paul tossed them a bone. So I cut Paul a little slack, acknowledge that he was a mere man, and subject to menareputz syndrome, and try to get as much as I can out of his writings.

I got my feelings hurt at work night before last.

She will be 9 1/2 when/if we go next January. It could be a 1/2 birthday for her. Although I have always told her, I don't do anything for her half birthday except to measure her on the growth chart.

The Marathon Weekend is the 10th - 13th. You have to check in at the Expo on the 10th to get your running number for the Fun Run, or be there at 6:00 AM (that's 5 AM our body time) to get it on Friday morning. The run is at 7:00 AM. I think it is being held in AK. The Half Marathon is on Saturday morning, and the Full is on Sunday.

We could share a room with our DD's, and split the cost, if that would help. Would your DD's school let her out? We are allowed 10 parent notes a semester.

So, I am having a dilemma. After the patch test I found out I am allergic to formaldahyde. That in itself isn't too bad. I have to wash new clothes, as it's in them to make them look nice, I have a list of products that don't contain it. OK, I can stay away from it in products. BUT....what I found out last night was, aspertame turns into formaldahyde in your systems when you digest it. Aspertame is in ALL diet drinks, sweetened flavored waters...you name the sweetened diet food and it's in there!!! How much to you eat or drink that contains it?!? I am going to stop drinking diet coke & the sweetened waters that I like & live on for the month of April. If this rash clears up, I'll have solved my problem and will no longer drink diet drinks. I have drank diet soda for almost 30 years!!!! Other than water, what do I drink now????? (vent over)

I'll take all beverage recommendations you have, as long as it doesn't contain aspertame!!!!

Diet Rite and Diet Coke with Splenda. My brother can't have any aspertame either. He really likes those brands.

There was a group that wanted to make a goal of a 5K - many of us jumped on board.... many meaning enough to consider doing a GRAND GATHERING!! (note my siggy!!)

I am now under the impression dates have changed to take advantage of FREE DINING.... (not that that is ironic or anything!!)

1. We are going at the beginning of June.
2. I will be teaching and it will be hard for me to take off. I am so excited for everyone who is going. I hope there will be many trip reports to tell all of us who can't go all about it.

I'm also trying to cut WAY back on caffeine. Thus far I've only been mildly pissy . I have just enough to wake up in the morning and ONLY when I get "the headache". Now, the headache is a withdrawl symptom! As in DRUG withdrawl. As in I feel like I'm no different than a drug user. I usually need to take something to get to sleep, then I wake up groggy. I'm doing this because I literally drink caffeine all day and then cant sleep at night. It's been a few days. Cherry water is a huge help! I swear, I can easily down a gallon of it!

I am trying to wean myself off of it as well. Those headaches are the worst! I am loving the cherry water!

I went to jazzercise this morning and the bare bottom brigade were there right in front of me, again! It's like a train wreck, you don't want to look but when it's right in your face it's hard not to. Now I know why the one 30 something guy is there in a class full of women! I feel like posting a warning that some pants become see thru when streched!

We have a Darth Tater and a Spud Trooper. I am going to get my first set of parts on my vacation in June. (I will get the heads at Walmart). I think I might display it in my classroom and change it every so often. I think the kids would get a kick out of it.
