two things happened today - I think I sold my motorcycle, good thing ...

bad thing - my boss whom I consider a dear sweet friend found out he has leukemia. we are all devestated hoping that Tues we will hear that its something that can be dealt with, but please Peeps, please add him to your prayers. he has a sweet wife and two boys ages 14 and 11, and he is their rock, come to think of it he's our office's rock too. all choked thinking about it

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING, EVERYONE!

Dieting peeps.....a word of advice....avoid Baptist potlucks at all costs. The food was gggooooooddddd and the desserts were fabulous!

is it just me or does anyone else find themselves checking their watches every 5 min. to see how much longer??

Some days I do and some days I don't. It'll get better as your body gets used to the exercise. The first day I carried the weights, I was checking the clock about every 2 minutes. Now it's a breeze!

I threatened to elope if people didn't stop "helping" us! And I was very serious.

We did elope! My DBF (now DH) won a vacation in a raffle. We ended up doing weekend in Cocoa Beach with a Disney cruise/park combo. We got a marriage license on Monday in Merritt Island and drove to the home of a woman that was a notary public who married us. (Apparently that's legal in Florida...the courthouse folks recommended her.) Anyway, she had a dozen or so "ceremonies" laid out on her kitchen table when we arrived. We picked the shortest one and she married us out back by her pool. We left and drove directly to Port Canaveral and hopped on the cruise ship. That was 18 years ago and I reckon we're just as married as anybody else I know and MORE married than a lot of couples whose big weddings I attended who are no longer married.

ended up getting married on the porch of an old general store in the mountains.

Great story and cute pictures! Around here people drive down to Jellico for a quickie wedding. They must have the same rules as Gatlinburg. Did you grow up in Nashville?

WAS IT GOOD? Srsly? My mother in law never fully forgave me to taking her favorite man out of her household. When our DD was 2 she bought my DH a plane ticket to go to London for a week with his sister. That did not go over well, I can tell you!

Oh, no! This is the third case I've heard of this week! Other leukemia prayer requests....next door neighbors son in law (been married 1 1/2 years...very young). His name is Brandon. This prayer request was called into our church office by a woman who works at Walmart. Her part-time coworker (22) has 3 small children and husband (24) who is a roofer and has no insurance was just diagnosed with leukemia. His name is Eric. Harley I'll keep your friend in my prayers too.

SURPRISE! I was collecting addys for Aries! SHE ordered (and $$) all by herself those "Livestrong" bracelets in Lime Green that say "WWPD"? and something else. I didn't get one either/neither. YET! She actually re-ordered to cover the new kids! (not that your new) but some didn't get them (like me and you).

I am SO going to send her a treat or something cool to show my appreciation. Until then, I told her, I'm just wearing a stretched out THICK rubber band I wrote with a perm. marker...."WWPD" (the redneck version!)
