DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 3

My next suggestion was a good pair of running shoes...not walking shoes.

I bought some Asics Gel Kayano running shoes. They were expensive, but my feet dont hurt nearly as bad when I wear them. Have you had corisone shots?

No I am TERRIFIED of needles!!! (Unless I am the one giving them to SOMEONE else:rotfl: )

I am the proud owner of a new recumbent exercise bike, Peeps! I was motivated by Dene', Lynda and others here.

We picked it up this afternoon and it is sitting in our living room/dining room area. It has a nice cushy seat and backrest. I've already been on it a couple times. It's comfy to use and pretty fun! I went for a "ride in the park" this afternoon.

I decided I need to exercise more than 2 days a week and didn't really want to join a gym. Going to the swimming pool twice a week after work is plenty for me.

I'm hoping my hubby will use it occasionally too. But I'm determined not to nag him . . .
Do you have a picture? I have never seen a recumbent bike

I'm not normally known for my love of exercise. Actually a good brisk sit has been part of my past routine, although I am trying with baby steps to replace that with some activity. Thanks to all the good support and encouragement. I am making better food choices one item at a time, nothing earth shaking, much more along the lines of drinking water if I think I want a soda, or if I think I'm hungry. Lately I've discovered that I am really thirsty instead and that sometimes leaves me satisfied. At other times, if the water doesn't work then I have something to eat.

Thanks for all the encouragement -- I hope you all have a great week.

Ya know, I think I have such a strong internal clock! It is SO hard for me in the spring! I usually wake up at 7, today was 8 because I think I have strep throat (self diagnosed) and was well Ny-Quilled up last night. It totally hurts to swallow. When I think of swallowing, I NEED to swallow more!

Stupid sore throat!

Ok, y'all can peel yourselves off the velcro wall an un-duct tape your mouths and go home! :rotfl: It's been real!

That's what I tell my kids every morning, and then I realize they ARE home :lmao:

Hope your throat feels better, have you tried warm salt water?

Time changes mess my clock up either way.....:confused3 I just hope I can get on track before we leave next Sunday. But, it's weird, usually on vacation I can spring out of bed like a 3 year old with tons of energy and a leftover sugar high from 2 days before, go figure :rotfl:

Aww UMama -- I sure hope you feel better soon. I hate sore throats, it's the one thing that slows me down like nothing else.

My body doesn't adjust well to this time change. Anytime I lose an hours sleep it takes me about a week to adjust. The worst affects tend to show up approx Tuesday morning when the alarm seems that much earlier.

RE: Time Change....

We live just east of the Eastern/Central time line and sunrise is set for 7:54 tomorrow morning....the exact time DS has to be at school. So hard to get everyone up and dressed when it's pitch black outside. :sad2:

Morning ladies! :wave2:

On the agenda here for today, following our "late" start due to the time change - finish up some weave poles for Jasper, go see 300, take Jasper for a walk, should do at least a little cleaning. I'll let you know later how all of that goes. :)

Today is the infamous cheat day. For breakfast I had something I would not normally have, but I did look at the calories, and I am certain it helped me stop before I normally would have. Now, instead of going back for more, I think I will have something DH and I found at the store the other day. Pudding Pops!!! :yay: Does anyone remember the original pudding pops? I LOVED them! And haven't been able to find them for years. I know I can make them at home, but it's not the same. Well, the company that makes fudgesicles now makes them! And they are 90 calories each. Not too terrible. Off to have one and get the day going. I'll check back in later peeps! Have a skinny day! :goodvibes

WOOOHOOTY!!!!!ME AND DISMOM AND OUR DH'S ARE OFFICIAL PARTICIPANTS IN THE FUN RUN!!!! :cool1: :cool1:   :yay: :yay:

 :cool1: I'm just going to miss y'all by a matter of days...

pearl necklace...

ZZ Top everybody! :rockband: "A pearl necklace... she wore a pearl necklace..."

I've got the munchies, dh is late so I havent had dinner, and I'm doing everything to keep my hands and food away from my mouth... its too hard

First time I read this I thought it said "to keep my hands and FOOT away from my mouth"...

I just dont understand how somebody couldnt have a good time at the happiest fricken palce on earth!

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!! I finally got my family to stop giving me a hard time about going to WDW all the time by pointing out that some of them go to the same fishing lake, mountain cabin, and ski areas every year and there is NEVER anything new there to do.

some dys are beter than others, some nights I cant even stand to wash dishes, or do laundry...

I can't stand to wash dishes or do laundry either... :duck:

Luckily, I have a week to adjust... Spring Break! :yay:

OMG, I LOVED those things as a child !!! I ahve been looking for them too. Did you find them at WMart? You have just made my day ;) And yes, at 90 calories, that's a "diet snack" if ya ask me :thumbsup2
Hope you have a great day with that cute puppy of yours !!

300 DD19 and I actually loved the movie... hot MEN with hot bodies. It was most assuredly an ADULT movie... lots of stylized violence and sensuality. And the look of the movie was very... 'artistic' for lack of a better word. This one particular scene toward the end looked like a painting. We KNEW how it had to end, but DD ended up crying anyway... I almost did. Ironically, I'm the one who usually cries, not her.

I mentioned the hot MEN... yes, they are MEN, not scrawny look at my abs I'm so skinny model boys. Muscular and built. Gerard Butler looked awesome. (Harley... I think Jay would have to put on a 20 lbs, but I'm sure he would look great in a Spartan outfit... :rolleyes1 )

There was another actor that just looked so darn familiar (and abalicious)... he played Dilios, kind of the storyteller of the movie. I knew I had seen him in 1 or 2 other things... took a while and then I figured it out... he play Faramir on the Lord of the Rings: Two Towers & Return of the King. He also played a monk on Van Helsing... but LotR is where I remembered him from.

Had to look up the Queen on imdb... she played Kitty on the live action version of The Jungle Book.

Xerxes was a spanish actor that has a small recurring role on Lost.

OMG, YES! I loved those things!! I especially remember the ice cap coating they had...do you know what I mean? I t was like the pudding was inside an ice shell or something. I loved biting that part off:goodvibes

I am set to have a great sunday...I m headed off to pick up a FREE TREADMILL!! I posted a desperate plea on a local message board and somebody said I can have theirs. It is older and it isnt fancy I am sure, but there will be no excuses for not getting 30 min a day anymore for me!! :cool1:

YA don't think you woke up at 8 because we set the clocks ahead an hour do ya:confused3 .

Thanks for releaseing us from the velcro wall. It was torture. Fidge kept reaching over to give we wedgies!

Yes, they came from WalMart! Right there with the fudgesicles. :thumbsup2

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about! I LOVED that coating! These are a little bit different. They are shaped like fudgesicles, not the flatter bar they once were, and the ice coating isn't as prominent, but they are still good. I had the swirly one. Later I will try vanilla and let you know how it is! :)

No I am TERRIFIED of needles!!! (Unless I am the one giving them to SOMEONE else:rotfl: )
I am too, like Harley, I think I'm just used to the pain, I bought a pair of orthotics, the WalkFit did NOTHING for me! (Couldnt fit them in any of my shoes!!) and like you I am terrified of a needle - and knowing it will come back anyway, I'm going to live with it, some days are better than others - after about 1 - 1 1/2 years of crocs and only crocs I moved to the orthotics in my running shoes, then a few hours in "low heel" pumps no orthotics, but then I have to go back to crocs and only crocs. If I'm going to stand for any length of time, crocs... I can get an hour or more of running shoes - but mostly crocs for me!

Do you have a picture? I have never seen a recumbent bike

A friend of ours has like 3 of them, I should post... but his home page is down, I'll keep looking, they look "strange" but are most definately comfy on the back!!

That's what I tell my kids every morning, and then I realize they ARE home :lmao:

Its hard to believe an hour makes such a huge difference, but it sure does!!

Uma hope you feel better soon - the salt water gargle does work wonders!!! Do take care!!

Lynda what a find!! Now I wasnt a fan of fudgcicles at all, but Pudding Pops, they were great!!

Having internet problems!!

Fidge waiting for an update on the prom!!! Hope you got unstuck, and unvelcroed in time!! :rotfl2:

I guess mine were worse than yours because even crocs dont help me really. My crocs are great for short periods but they dont help if I am standing for long periods. Nothing did. I literally could not walk at all if I had a long day on my feet. And those walkfit sucked for me too. I actually just returned them to target yesterday.

JO...dressing gown? I guess that's a fancy name for your bath robe? That is my standard attire for morning carpool plus my crocs.
Melinda it sure is and mine is red and fluffy :thumbsup2
That is such a vision of you doing the school run, I thought American mothers didn't leave the house with out full make-up or is that just on Wisteria Drive, BTW isn't that how all you guys live:rotfl2:

It's another beautiful day here today so after church we went on a nice family walk. We live quite near a big lake (well old quarry filled with water) so we walked there and round it, probably about 3 miles, the sun reflecting off the water was just beautiful. And just in case you wanted to know my roast is cooking nicely in the oven!

Forgot to say UM when my DH had glandular fever with a really bad throat he swore by grapes. Apparently they did wonders and they're good for you too :thumbsup2

We just saw 300 at the local IMAX theatre and it was great! If you know going into it that it is going to have a lot of fighting scenes, then it doesn't bother you as much - kinda like Lord of the Rings - it fits. Mmmmmmm.... Spartans..... Gerard Butler.... mmmmmm.... I couldn't believe that I almost cried at the end, too. They must have done something right with the movie. I wonder how well it will do over the weekend?
