DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 3

I am the proud owner of a new recumbent exercise bike, Peeps! I was motivated by Dene', Lynda and others here.

We picked it up this afternoon and it is sitting in our living room/dining room area. It has a nice cushy seat and backrest. I've already been on it a couple times. It's comfy to use and pretty fun! I went for a "ride in the park" this afternoon.

I decided I need to exercise more than 2 days a week and didn't really want to join a gym. Going to the swimming pool twice a week after work is plenty for me.

I'm hoping my hubby will use it occasionally too. But I'm determined not to nag him . . .

My next suggestion was a good pair of running shoes...not walking shoes.

I bought some Asics Gel Kayano running shoes. They were expensive, but my feet dont hurt nearly as bad when I wear them. Have you had corisone shots?

Just so everyone knows the DIS is going down tonight at 10:00 EST to install a new search engine. Maybe this one will actually work? :rotfl: Ok, I better be good, or I'll get some points for being naughty. :sad2:

Eeyore - I haven't registered yet because I'm still not sure I'm going to be able to come next January. It isn't because I don't want to. I just have a lot going on next year. I turn 40, my parents turn 70, and it is their 50th wedding anniversary. They want all of the family to go on a vacation together, so I don't know if I can squeeze in a DW trip too. I priced out Pop last night and it has gone up! :scared1: It is about $150 more than when I priced it back in January. :confused3 I'll let you know as soon as I know.

Harley & DisMom & DH's - Congrats on registering! I hope I can join you.

Ditto the running shoes suggestion and the shots. All the 'over the counter' options I tried helped but did not really relieve the pain. I had the shots and I was almost normal. Yes, I hate needles. Actually hate is not a strong enough word. I am terrified of them. But he leaned my chair back so I didnt have to watch, I cried silently in the chair, and it was over. I wont lie, it hurt... but it was nothing comapred to not being able to walk on my feet in the morning after a long day. My craptastic insurance didnt cover much of it and I paid about $80 per foot out of pocket. I think 'retail price' was about $100 or something per foot. I go tthem back in October I think and I am starting to get some pain back. He said I may have to repeat the shots so I was prepared for it. I am just not ready to do it again just yet.

I hope you find something that works for you. I know how miserable the pain is firsthand and I suffered a Disney trip in Sept before getting the shots. I will never do that again if I can help it!

I have to be honest with you, I had it in my right foot for about 2 yrs and I had 2 shots in that foot...and they hurt like H E double hockey sticks...

now that foot has healed over time and I have it in my left foot...but this time its a little worse. BUT I just deal with it...some dys are beter than others, some nights I cant even stand to wash dishes, or do laundry...I prolly need a shot in my left foot at this point, but the shoes and the supports and teh stretches do help I can tell.

Lynda....I can never pass up a deal like that either! And it's something to look forward to...right?! My apologies to your sweet boy-kitty. He's a handsome guy! I am shooting for a Sept. 22-29 trip this year. The kids are out of school on the 28th so they'd only have to miss 4 days. I am completely ruined by free dining and no lines....so keep your fingers crossed for the free dining and maybe we'll have time to see you on the 29th!

It sure is something to look forward to! :) DH actually said, "I can't argue $5, and it gives you a target, right?" that man! OH seriously, Oliver is a very non-manly cat! :rotfl: He is laying next to me right now, and that is usually where he is when I am DISing. If I get up, I often get followed by an orange and white ball of fluff. He has no claws, and he couldn't even win a wrestling match with the puppy when she weighed 3 1/2 lbs! :rotfl: But I will tell him you said he was handsome. I am sure he will agree!

And hey, I lied! We arrive on the 28th of September! It'd be cool to meet up! We have free dining for that trip because when we were there in November, they offered free dining if you booked a trip (checking in between August ?? and September 30th) while you were staying on property.

I  my recumbent bike! I used to use one at the gym all the time. I like them soooooo much better than the upright ones, and I feel like I use my abs more for balance.

Yay Minnie! Good for you - I missed your exciting news somehow...great job!

I didnt get to the gym today, and am to tired to get on the TM right now...matter of fact my eyes are closing while I am dissing, and I still have laundry going! :surfweb: Maybe I should make some coffee...I still have to get ready for tomorow!

Just finished packing and almost have the car loaded. All it is lacking is my suitcase--which I have to put all our morning things in and us. :cool1: :cool1: Family left at 6:00 and I have been very busy since then trying to get everything finished. DH family is very excited about the new baby---I dent my mom some spring flowers that the pot says SPROUT on it--the card say our our new sprout will be here in October.

Totals for today...

B: oatmeal & light Activia yogurt (230)
L: ½ quesadilla explosion salad from Chili’s (700-ish, I get it without the quesadillas, so this might be less)
D: BBQ pork chop (613) & red pepper strips (40) WW ameretto cheesecake yogurt (100)
S: WW cookies & cream ice cream bar (140)

TOTAL: 1823 calories & about 90 oz. of water

No exercise for me today. I decided to give my body a day of rest after 5 straight days for work outs. Tomorrow we are supposed to have another beautiful day. DH and I are going to go see 300, and I will likely take Jasper for a walk. We are also going to finish up the set of weave poles we started for her today, and we will probably practice that with her once they are done.

well my laundry is done and I am stallng going to bed, why do I do this when I know I will be super tired tomorrow?

'Welcome to Heck, may I take your oRder???"

When I read Fidge's typo post to UM - I read it like 3 times and couldn't figure out what Fidge was referring to. Didn't catch it until I read this one and went back and looke again. My Mom said you may not know how, I don't think I was supposed to tell you, but she said you probably don't know how to make eggs benedict, you know thats what my Mom said, but I think if you call her she could tell you how.

Oh now who just did that ?? Its not funny I am not afraid of cats stop throwing them at me

UM did not pinch Mickey - that would be improper. She pinched Captain Jack!!!

Just wanted to stop in before DH knows what I am doing. Hope that you guys have a great week--I will not have computer access on this trip--DH won't pay the extra money for little time it will be used. PLease remember us as we :drive:--looks like it will be a good day to travel unlike UM snow day! I will let you know how my mom responds and about our triip when we return. BYE

HI Jo! Are parties this much fun in England? I bet whiny kids sound better with a British accent!:lmao:
No they're still little rascals and no way do we do parties at home, we're not that mad :rotfl2:
That's IT! We're packing up all our kids and sending them to England to visit Auntie Jo! :rotfl2:

(It is to funny, Jo!)
I think all the airlines are full, sorry you know I would have loved to have them :rotfl2:

Talking of parties, Jess went to a sleepover party last night (actually there are some mad people in England too!) and she ate far too many sweets and chocolates. Well as you may know my DSis is now over due with her baby so the phone rings at 3.30am and I think :cool1: the baby's here but oh no Jess has been sick and wants to come home :scared1: The party was only just up the road but there was no way I was walking up there in my PJ's and dressing gown, didn't want to scare anyone :rotfl: so I have to get the car out and go get her, don't you just love kids
