Hello all - sorry I wasnt around after all the well wishes for Buster...found him at a neighbors house, he stayed home til tonite and now he is gone again. I dunno what to do. He is so sweet he ahs about 3 homes that he makes rounds to, people stop in the street and let him in their cars to pet him...I dont stand a chance trying to keep him confined to my yard with that against me.

I have hypothyroidism, will start taking Synthroid tomorrow. hopefully I can shake this fatigue once it gets inot my system good.

Hugs to those htat need it, hugs to those doing well this week...I am not one of those people, and expect a gain already on Fri...maybe I can turn it around tomorrow...

night

Ahh, Casey's hot dogs. They are pretty delicious if you ask me. Of course this is coming from a girl who eats fat free hot dogs and bologna. Once, my aunt was visiting and bought "real" bologna from the deli. My mom and I looked at each other like she had just brought a million dollars into the house, it was such a treat. Anyway, I do think they are good as far as hot dogs go. Plus they also have cheese sauce for the fries (I do love the cheese sauce). Oh and their fries are the skinnier kind, like McD's style, not the same fries you get at the other CS places.

I'm still feeling  . On my way home I stopped and got some different medicine. I took some then and will take a little more right before bed. I cannot get any sicker than this. I don't have time to be sick. And why does my mom insist on giving me the :sad2: face when I tell her I'm sick or getting sick? Everytime she makes this face like I purposefully had some sick germy kid breathe in my face so I could get a cold. I don't get it. She actually has the ability to make me feel guilty for getting sick :confused3 . Amazing what powers mothers can have.

Oh and I just looked at a syllabus for a class I'm taking at a different college. Never took it as an undergrad and need it for SLP certification when I graduate. General Biology. Well I have a test Wednesday. I could have sworn it was next week, but nope - Wednesday. Oops  . I'm not too concerned though. It's easier than my high school bio class and I only have to get a C for it to count. Normally I would not be happy with a C but this is just a basic class that really does not have to do with my degree, just a formality. So I'm just trying to pass with as little work as possible. I know all the mom's are cringing hearing that. Trust me I'm not like that with my other courses.

Anyone watch Dancing with the Stars? I'm recording it right now to watch later on this week. I just LOVE that show. Hope this season is good.

Off to read and watch TV...

Cute pic. Hope you're feeling better.
Thanks! I got through the day without another headache today and my hubby was doing better today too. I like the photo of my daughter and her pup so well that I put it up on my computer screen at work so I can smile at it every day!

Does this sound crazy?

Since this baby on the way put our future disney trip on hold, I'm trying to squeeze in a mini trip over star wars weekends. June.

We'd drive down, spend 2-3 nights. Visit 2 maybe 3 parks and drive home.

The drive is 24 hours. Each way.

My husband smiles and kisses my forhead when he sees me looking for all the bargains.

Mal is still free until August. We can still get a single room at a value until then as well.

I'm not crazy right?
Of course you're not crazy! Being a fellow Michigander, I'm not so sure I'd like to do that drive if I were expecting . . . After flying down the last couple times, though, I have a hard time thinking about driving down anytime soon. Can you find a good rate out of Metro or are you not supposed to fly?

OMG! How cute is that puppy?! My sister got her lab when he was that little...now he is a moose! I wish they stayed so little and cute.

:lmao: Yeah, I'm thinking he's going to turn out pretty big, but we have had a German Shepherd, so she should be pretty used to having a big dog around

Dene', I see your new bling again! WOO HOO!!!

Wonders, my mommy sensors did quiver when you mentioned your class, but I've gotten used to ignoring my daughter's comments about school that I'd rather not hear :rolleyes1

I love the MK hotdogs too Getting a hotdog from the Frontierland or Tomorrowland cart is a "must do" for my friend who lives in Florida. I was skeptical until I tried one!

Hi, Sandy! Add my thanks for your water facts. But I get so darn tired of getting up during the night to go to the bathroom . . .

Hope you feel better very soon!

And we don't regularly watch Dancing with the Stars, but I do on occassion. However, DH and I are recording it tonight because the first commercial for POC At World's End is during the show!!! Johnny!

one more question for my peeps about our trip (or at least one more question that i can think of right now!): how much money do you guys take? we're on the DDP and we have a park hopper with the water park fun n more option, so park admission and most of our food is already paid for. we will be partaking in some alcohol, most of it being while at WS in epcot. i don't plan on buying *that many* souvenirs. the only ones i can think of right now are mickey ears for me and DH, an autograph book, one of those passport books at epcot, maybe something small for our nephew and possibly a t-shirt. the reason i'm asking is i'm having to dip into our disney cash fund for some unexpected necessary expenses (new dishwasher b/c ours died, doctor bill, termite inspection bill, john mayer concert tickets - yeah, i know that's necessary to YOU, but it is to ME!!! :rotfl2: ). we're only gonna be there 4 full days. do you think $500 will be enough?

Im so behind here Im so sorry ladies. I feel like a chicken with its head cut off! With all that I'm doing.

Can someone tell me if there is any progress on the peep meet, any decisions made or reservations. Thanks

Have a skinny day ladies

Did anyone see the At World's End trailer??? Huh? Huh? OH, I can't wait! :yay:

So I'm just trying to pass with as little work as possible. I know all the mom's are cringing hearing that.

:scared1: Forget Moms! This BIOLOGY TEACHER is freaking out! :scared: (Not really:lmao: ... I understand that biology isn't everybody's cup of tea... in fact, I'm trying to move up to the "big high school" so I can teach astronomy and earth science.)

Dene', I see your new bling again! WOO HOO!!!

:cool2:

Not a big cash person here... I charge everything to the room or to my Disney Visa or debit card or Disney Rewards card. Whenever I leave the room, I have $20 cash... that covers bottled water, sodas, and ice cream bars. For me, I think I only took $300 cash for a two week trip last summer. BUT, my mother, on the other hand is a vacation cash kind of girl... last time we took her she had something like $1000 in cash for a one week trip!:scared1:

Since I saw it, I've been racking my brain trying to remember WHEN I should arrive at the theater for the midnight movie... last year, we went too late and had to sit on the 2nd or 3rd row... yuck! It did give us an excuse to go see it again (like we REALLY needed an excuse to spend some quality drool time looking at Johnny and Orlando).pirate: pirate:

GOOD MORNING, EVERYBODY! :sunny:

QUESTION OF THE DAY: What's your favorite "diet" salad dressing?

I like Kraft "lite done right" Golden Caesar. :thumbsup2 For something sweet, I like Ken's Raspberry Walnut Vinaigarette.

WINKERS....Too funny on the fiber/discipline.
Water! Why drink at least two quarts a day?
Love the water facts, Sandy! We've missed ya, sister!!
I have hypothyroidism, will start taking Synthroid tomorrow. hopefully I can shake this fatigue once it gets inot my system good.
Not just the fatigue will be gone but the weight! Glad to hear you got your meds.
I'm still feeling  . On my way home I stopped and got some different medicine.
Sorry, Shannon! Here's hug for you. I think I'm coming down with sumpn too.
Hope you feel better very soon!
This is not what I wanted to quote Lynda. Just wanted to say thanks for the info on the external hard drive. :thumbsup2
how much money do you guys take?
We didn't spend much money when we went last Sept. I did put a Visa down at check in so it was easier to charge to the room. But when you have the dining plan, there's really not much left to spend money on except the occasional snack carts (they don't all take the key to the food) and a beer with dinner. We bought a few souvenirs. $500 would be plenty for me.

Have a great day, everyone!!! :flower3:

Thanks, everyone, for the Birthday wishes! I have the best virtual friends! :goodvibes

I think I'll go shopping today.....or in Southern speak, I'm fixin' to go to town.

I need a few more lime green items for the trip! :thumbsup2

Happy Belated Birthday!!!!

 I have a 7 year-old cousin who was born with a malfunctioning thyroid. She has to take meds for the rest of her life but never-the-less she'll be able to live a normal life with relatively few set backs. Glad to hear that a diagnosis was made and that medication will help to correct your problem. You will definitely start losing weight now. :thumbsup2

We will not be going to a midnight viewing. Why, you might ask, would I miss such a thing? We will be at WDW! They are having a midnight viewing, but the only way to do to it is to buy this package that sounds REALLY cool, but is $200 per person, so we'd be out $400!!!:scared1: I think we might do a tour instead and either see the movie after we get back home.

Oh! That's a toughie! I like the salad spritzers in Red Wine Mist & Balsamic Breeze. I also like Kraft "Light Done Right" in raspberry vinegrette & 3-cheese ranch (or something like that).

And you're welcome! :goodvibes

I like Kraft ff Zesty Italian or the light Italian with olive oil. I also like Kraft FF Raspberry Vinegrette - we have it is packets at the hospital but I have not been able to find the FF version in the grocery- I can find the light but not the FF.

Harley Sounds to me like Buster has a girl friend. He just came home to refuel. Maybe that is why he is making his "rounds" as well. Just a thought.

I did 20 min on the eliptical yesterday- boy my legs were sore from Sat. I really wanted to quit after about 3 min but I have found out that if you can just hang in there and not watch the clock your legs just go numb and you dont notice them anymore- at least for a little while. Did my arm work out and then up'ed my ab thing- still only 4 crunches at a time but I did this sideways thing to help find my waist again. It may be a while before we see it though. Water intake not so good last night- I got pulled to work in the intensive care nursery- so the ice machine is not readily available- did do better with the diet yesterday though-

egg beaters omlet - had to use real cheese- the ff chedder was a little fuzzy
english muffin- whole wheat with apple butter
1/2 turkey subway with light chips
english muffin mini pizza -no meat but a little mozarella and veggies
My midnight snack at work- ff caramel yoguart (this is usually where I fall-) I know I'm up working but cheeseburgers and fries aint good for you at 3 am.

So little changes- baby steps right- its hard to change everything all at once. I think that is where I have failed before. I tried to be to restrictive and too drastic. So even though I lost weight all those times before - I did not make a permanent change that I could live with- instead of trying to starve myself this time- I'm going the exercise and water goal first- and if I have a good diet day :woohoo: and if not- well, there is always tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Have a great day everybody- I'm off for a nap. Sending those of you in the cold a little Alabama sunshine- its going to be 77 fun loving degrees today:yay:

Nite!

:rotfl: Sorry about that. It's not that I don't like it. Well maybe I don't. But I do enjoy some science. Mostly medical portions. I've been in grad school for 2 years now and not once have I had to discuss an electron, photosynthesis, carbohydrates, and all the other bio stuff they talk about. It's actually a special bio class for non-science majors. So anyway that is why I'm not really paying too much attention to learning every single nook and cranny about bio.

**Big news** I'm finally talking to a friend of mine that I was in a little bit of a spat with. So glad we are speaking again. I will give more details later. Just pray that we can go back to the way we were.

One of my fave "diet" dressings is Ken's Lite Asian-Sesame Ginger or something like that. It is definitely the light version though. 1 pt per tbsp on WW! It's delicious if you love the chinese chicken salads in restaurants!

It's raining! It's pouring! And I'm wearing white pants  . Oh well.

I'm feeling much better this morning but still not 100%. More meds tonight before bed and I should be good to go tomorrow. I've got lots of papers this week.

Have a great day everyone! :grouphug:

That is my favorite light dressing too...good call :thumbsup2 You know, I bet that would make a delicious marinade too..hmmm..

I hope this helps you feel better. More energy is always great, and should help w/weight too.:thumbsup2

Hope you feel better soon. My mom always says stuff like, "I've never seen an adult who gets sick like you." I thought, well you don't know a lot of kindergarten teachers, do you? Don't let mom's comments get you down. Take care of yourself.

Did anyone see the At World's End trailer??? Huh? Huh? OH, I can't wait! :yay:

I had 2 tickets to see POTC2 for free in San Francisco, and then they were showing the trailer, but I missed it because of DD's work event. The sacrifices I make as a mom!

I had a bunch of other things to quote last night, but the Dis shut down at 8:30 here, so I drank some water and did 45 minutes of yoga. :woohoo: for me.

BTW, Punkin's post the other day about the dog that ripped up the floor (it was Punkin, right?) gave me nightmares! I dreamed I was at a friend's house, had an "accident", ruined her party and her hardwood floor, and they had to bring in a professional floor sander to fix it. My DH says I have the most elaborate dreams.

I'm going for one cheat-free day today. I can't commit to a week now. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Anyone want to join me?

Okay..so I am back..lots of catching up to do...Comcast...our local phone/internet/cable provider cannot figure out what is wrong w/ our computer and phone lines but we have been more down than up and it is so frusterating! They will be here tomm. so wish me luck!

Have had too many pieces of pizza as of late...need to put a stop to that or I will have a gain before Friday!

THANK YOU TO ALL AND ANY WHO HAVE HELPED W/ TUPPERWARE!!!
Let me know who you are and what ya got so I can Thank Ya all Proper and such!!!

Going to get going...hope to catch up and post tonight!!! 45 degrees here...maybe thinkin of tanning! :rotfl2: Heat Wave Baby!!

Nope, it wasn't me. That was punkin, I believe. Thank goodness that didn't happen to me! That dream sounds hilarious though!:lmao:

um.....excuse me......where in the world did the 5-pound ribbon go????? i was so excited today because i woke up this morning and i'm down 3 pounds since last friday  and i go to happily collect my little 5-pound ribbon and IT'S NOT THERE ANYMORE!!!!!!!! i feel so jipped!
