Just to introduce myself somewhat. I started loosing weight after my DH said I was obese. Let's just say that wasn't a pleasant moment. Sept. 10, 2006. I am 5'9" and had weighed 166. So he was right, I just never saw myself that way. My DH had been diagnosed with Addisons Disease in June and we were having a tough time then. Things are much better now we have figured his medicine dosage better etc.
So now I had a big why to loose weight. Which I have found I need. I have 4 kids DS 19 (almost 20), DD16, DS13 (almost 14) and the youngest DD turned 8 in Dec. I never lost all the extra weight after her, even though I walk every day. After hitting 40 a few years back I found it harder to loose the weight. So now I had to loose. So this is what I did to loose 30 pounds.
Pilates, kick boxing or walking everyday. More intense than before. My homemade granola stuff or oatmeal for breakfast and slimfast shake for lunch and luna bars for afternoon snack. Or nuts, I love peanuts and almonds now.
For dinner I eat less. I feel half my plate with salad and I used the spray dressings with 1 calorie per spray. Then just a little of the dinner I made for the family.
For a night snack, apple and almonds or yogurt or one cup popcorn (but not much).
I started lifting weights a month ago, so now I am getting firmer. But I have not lost anything for a month. I want to get to 128 so I can fluctuate up to 130. Well that is the goal. I know I need to start drinking more water again. As it is getting hotter that will help remind me.
I have to say loosing what I have I have felt tons better. I don't mind going shopping for jeans now. My cholesterol dropped 60 points so that is great. But I'm not at my goal yet. I am a goal oriented person if you haven't figured it out yet.
