DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Hello from contruction alley.

Man is it dusty in here. Excuse me while I blow the dust off of my screen.

When I exhale you can see my breath.

Just kidding!

But it is a mess over here. Now it hides the real dust.

They tore down walls, and pulled up some flooring, and took down soffets, and put up some walls and built more soffets, and moved the gas and some electric.

And we wrote more checks and my head is spinning and all i do is clean and half the house has no power. '

Thank goodness for cell phones with alarm clocks. Hey does Nebo know about that? Doesn't matter, he doesn't have a job to get up to.

Anyways, before the battery dies on the laptop, I just wanted to peek on over and say hi.

When the rubble clears and they turn the lights back on, I'll try to post some pics as they are coming along.

Glad to hear Rebekah is doing better. I'm still praying.
Not feeling so well today, Peeps! Last night after I got off the treadmill I felt horrible. I thought it was just the workout...I kicked it up a notch...so, I thought I'd get over it once I got a shower, cooled off, and relaxed a bit. But by the time I went to bed (which was late b/c of a certain little baby), I was feeling awful. Nauseated! I took some Nexium and Benadryl, though, and went to sleep. But at about 5 am, I woke up and (where's the puke smilie?). And it's just gotten worse. I'm waiting on my DH to get home so I can take a nap...and let him take care of the kiddos for a while! I hope this is only a 24 hr. thing!:scared:

Hope you feel better soon.

Big news! My nephew Dan REALLY debuts on Mad TV this weekend. His full name is Dan Oster (named after his auntie, of course). Watch if you can.:happytv: sorry if it's vulgar (that show usually is).

schools out tomorrow, kids are home, THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING! :hourglass 5000 calories for one Thanksgiving meal? Weeell, I was planning on trying a little of everything...with maybe seconds on the REALLY good stuff (like DESSERTS!). I have been SO good lately, in preparation for a little over indulgence. But, that's alot of calories there. Definitely food for thought. Seeing as how I'm cooking everything though, I have to sample the wares...luckily I know that food eaten while still being prepared falls under the "no calorie taste testing sampling only rule". But I still might be in trouble. I think I'll just stick with UTAHMAMA'S new diet she posted. Now that looks like something I can live with. ;)

Hey Peeps,

Serious family drama going on here. Why when things are going great do not so great things seem to happen?

Hey Wonders, I know exactly how your feeling. I think everyone has less than perfect relatives. It can be very depressing to know about all of thier dramas, to just not want to deal with the same scenario AGAIN. It makes you just want to say, Didn't we already do this? Haven't you learned? Don't you remember what happened last time? For me, it's so sad to just see the wasted potential of certain family members. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if they had never even gotten started down that path. But I'm sure it's different to be on the outside looking in...than inside the box trying to get out. Good luck, living with family can be very hard sometimes. :grouphug:

Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks...I thought I was doing better earlier...now, not so much!:sad2:

How exciting! I'll try to watch!

Okay, I finally took some pictures of the new car... it is totally impractical, but oh so much fun!

MRNsNikki I hope you are feeling better soon. I had the exact same thing starting on Friday night and it wasn't until today that I felt normal again. I never really got icky sick but I just kept feeling like it was coming. I have terrible allergies and sinus problems so it's hard for me to differentiate but I know I felt ucky. Hopefully you'll be fine before Thanksgiving.

And I do intervals on the treadmill, combining running and walking. I also start out on the highest incline and work myself down as I grow weary. Most nights I only do 4-5 miles; I have to be very motivated to get up to 6. I don't know why but some days are easier than others.

Kat The Z is gorgeous. And practical cars are never fun so who wants a practical car. I've been talking myself out of the BMW roadster for about 4 months now. Sometimes it's just very satisfying to be frivolous.

Danielle What and where is MAD TV. I'm obviously way too old.

Monica I think I need some of that construction. Then I'd have an excuse for my dust. I hope it's all going right on schedule and you have a kitchen again soon (although in my house, it's definitely the least used room).

I'm on my way over to read Misty's DL report now.

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

Finally got caught up a little since there's no school today! :cheer2:

KAT....Fabulous car, chick! :cool2:

Shannon....So sorry about your cousin. That's a tough situation. Search for other programs she can get into and I'd also find out why she got that Vicodin. My former SIL had a prescription pain killer issue and had seen 50ish doctors to get her fix. Make sure your cousin really did have a legit pain issue. If she had a legit issue, you may be able to get her in another program or maybe even the same program after a period of time. Or maybe it's time for her to go to NY and start over. Here's one for you  and one for your mom.

Nikki....Sorry you're feeling rotten! We all had the vomiting virus the week of Thanksgiving last year. I hope you're feeling better soon and it gives your diet a boost....for Hawaii!!!

Faith....Some days it IS easier to exercise than others! For me too! Don't know why? RE: Mad TV...same time as SNL only on Fox.

Danielle....I found Dan on the Mad TV website! He's a cutie!

Monica!!! YAY! for construction! Our kitchen is original to our 75 year old house. I would LOVE to have a new kitchen! Do you get new appliances too?

Heather....Poor little sweet baby!!! I'm glad she's on the up side! How are YOU doing??? Is DH home yet? Is there any update on Christi??

Born2bird....Was that you who hates to shop?! Me too! Mostly because I never had enough money to buy what I want so I try to avoid it all together. Good luck!

Celery! Eat something, woman! I love gift cards!

Dawn....Have a safe trip!

EVERYBODY I MISSED (WENDY!)......:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYBODY!

hey, peeps! i didn't catch up......no time with all that's happened work-wise. i'm at the office now and getting ready to meet ray for lunch, then i hit the road. so i probably won't be around for a few days. i'm weighing in early since i won't be here on friday. is that considered cheating since it's before thanksgiving dinner???? :rolleyes1

i'm -2 pounds this week!!!! :woohoo: back down to 2 pounds until i reach my goal. can you say yo-yo????

hope everyone has a safe holiday! good luck to all your crazy black friday shoppers.....i'm not setting foot near a mall that day! :scared1:

Yea, we have full power! My boys were going out of their minds without power in their bedrooms.

My appliances are fairly new, so we are keeping those as is.

What I noticed is, if I am not in my kitchen, I don't eat, mindless snacking. Maybe this is a good thing to get me prepared for the diet. Plus everything will be hidden with all the new cupboards and cabinets I'm getting. Does that help?

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYBODY!

DH is back. Rebekah was up a lot yesterday then we gave her her medicine. She SCREAMED for 5 hours straight. Needless to say I did not give it to her this morning and called the Dr. instead. Of course he is off today so the other Dr. is going to give her another shot and we are not to continue the oral meds. Since they are taking her off meds he wants us to see her Dr. on Friday.

CHRISTI--is doing better. Has good days and bad--her memory fails her a good bit. She is actually getting to go home for TG!! She will go back to hospital maybe Friday if things go well. She will stay in hospital until raditation is over. This is all I really know for now since I have been out of the loop.

RYAN---got an update on him this morning and he is doing GREAT :thumbsup2 He is here in town visitng his grandparents. Hopefully I will get to visit with them before they leave.

Thank you all for all the prayers. We truely do have a lot to be thankful for this year. May GOd continue to Bless each one of us.

Good News! TwinkieMama just had her baby last night!

It's a boy and his name is Gabriel and he is 6 pounds 11 ounces and is 20 inches!!! :cloud9:

Congratulations Mama!!!!! Way to get out of cooking Thanksgiving Dinner!!!! ;)

Hawaii for you, too? I wish that I could do a 5K...I have horrible knees, though, so it's all I can do to do the running w/ the interval training on my treadmill...and I always pay for it the next day!

I WISH!!! No my 9YO and I are going to DW for a girls only trip and doing the 5K through AK. (see my ticker;) )

Glad you have power again! Can't wait to see the pics. :rolleyes1 It seems like they are getting ALOT accomplished in such a little time. Maybe it's just me, it prolly seems like FFOOORRREEEVVVEERRR for you!

Poor Rebekah, and poor YOU!! I can't believe she is already 7 weeks. It doesn't seem like it has been that long. Hope she gets better soon. Glad DH is back in town to help you.

Kat - LOVE the car!!! Impractical things are sooooo much fun. DH has always wanted a Honda S2000. He can have that after we are out of the carpooling stage of life.....which seems like never sometimes. ;)

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Oh, and I am still maintaining (I've weighed the same thing for two weeks), so I guess I'll have to transfer my Thanksgiving goal into a Christmas goal:santa: . :rolleyes1

Ok, got to go to the torture chamber...aka the grocery store. Pray that I come back in one piece! :lmao: I have to take a fruit tray tomorrow, and that is just something you can't buy ahead of time. :scared:

Awww! Congrats on your new little angel!

Oh! I almost forgot! I lost 4.4 pounds this week! :woohoo:

Here's hoping Thanksgiving doesn't ruin that for me. Hehehehe!

Thanks all!! It is really my husband's car, but I will get to drive it sometimes. My commute is long (25 miles each way) and his is short (<10 miles), so it makes more sense for him to take the less practical car to work.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!

Nothing much to say. Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a very safe and happy Thanksgiving!

And while I'm here, just a reminder to all of you goal oriented people to start thinking of a Christmas challenge. Sadly, I think my Christmas goal might be the same as my Thanksgiving goal. :sad2: But I'll know better after I weigh in tomorrow morning.

pigget74 I hope she gets better soon. Is she having a reaction to the antibiotics?

monymony Yeah for electricty. I can't wait to see the pics of the new kitchen.

dwheatl I'll try to watch

majicintheair I hear ya about the 5000 calories JUST FOR dinner, I am very nervous about Thanksgiving, I love Thanksgiving, it's my fav holiday.

HockeyKat Nice :thumbsup2

punkin413 :thumbsup2 yeah on the 2 lb

UtahMama Congrats. I love the name. Post pics, I am having baby blues, my baby is going to be 2 tomorrow; stupid question since I am new here is she related to you?

Tinkerspell Woo hoo for you. Nice lost

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day with your family and/or friends.

Laura:)

Hey everyone...an update on my cousin. She will be allowed to go back where she it once she completes a 2 week outpatient rehab stint. So she is living with us until then. joy. She planned on coming out with my mom, NYcousin and I but decided she was too tired and has been in bed asleep all day. Which is an almost clear and positive sign that she is on something. She really did have a valid pain issue before but I think all this drama and stress (that she created for herself) is making her regress even more and going back to her old demons. I think my mom should kick her out (if she really is taking something) but I know she'd never do that. Tough love baby. She feeds off others giving her attention...any attention. I'm just over it. And sick of her doing this and messing up everyone else's lives in the process.

Anyway, I just want to wish all of you a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING! If anything, seeing the lives both my cousins lead has made me very thankful for the life and opportunities that I have.

Eat lots of turkey and all the fixins' and don't feel guilty about it tomorrow! popcorn:: (that's me eating lots of yummy food tomorrow...but not popcorn)

Well I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. I will be up bright and early to prepare our turkey dinner. I am determined to make a nice holiday meal for my family no matter what condition my kitchen is in.

I was waiting to hear about Twinkiemama. Congratulations. I love the name. I hope everything went ok.

Tomorrow is the start to a nice 4 day weekend for me. It's the first few days off I've had since I had the baby.

Zach's cub scout troop will be in one of our local parades on Friday. That should be fun. We are expecting snow tonight and the temps plunged today, figures.

They took out all the floor today and all the electrical was completed. All the new switches and fixture holes. They hooked up the stove in it's new location and the whole house is back on including all of the lights in the kitchen. They put up the last of the drywall and I met the mudder today. He'll be back on Friday to start mudding.

My cabinets should come in on dec. 8th or 9th.

Friday I think they are going to start putting in the ceramic tile. I think or at least put the dura rock down.

Ok, nuf said.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!! I'm going to bed.
