pics, please! i get the "sassy" comment a lot since i've cut my bangs.

have you guys heard anything about expo TV? i'm thinking seriously about getting into it for extra money. it's just consumer reviews and there's no obligation. just wondering if anyone's heard anything negative about it?

That's what I was thinking about recommending. I read about it from the same place that Shannon did, on Tim and Lesley's TR. She makes quite a bit of money from it, but I'm not really sure how it works.

punkin413 - That's ok, you'll get them next week

Disneyfreak92 - :thumbsup2, you go you excercise machine you

pigget74 - :thumbsup2

HopingToGetEngaged - :thumbsup2

Pakey - :thumbsup2 , that's what friends are for (yes I sung that while I typed it)

monymony3471 - :lmao: , you DO NOT want to see me in a bikini; sorry about your scale

pixie dust 112 - you're intitled to skip a week

ThinkTink75 - the apartment is cute. I love the kitchen table, how did you do that. My bathroom is classic pooh and I working on my bedroom, just can't find the right thing, I want something purple. I had a set but it was for my old bed (double); we had an addition put on and now our bed is a king so that kind of sucks. The dog is too cute.

majicintheair - Yeah for you :cool1:

Evening peeps. I just had to tell you guys that my oncologist was super impressed with my weight loss and my exercise plans when I told him today. Of course, after I left his office I stopped by the cheesecake factory and had a lite dinner but took a piece of carrot cake to go. I got home and felt so guilty about buying that carrot cake that I decided to exercise. I went out and walked for 2.5 miles and then came home and got on the treadmill and did intervals for 3.5 miles. I figure 6 miles was enough to offset that piece of carrot cake I'm fixin' to go eat in a few minutes here.

UMama, do you need me to save any of that carrot cake for your mouse or did the chocolate do the trick?:lmao:

hey pakey - next time you're at cheesecake factory - the low carb cheesecake is actually really yummy!

if I wasn't so broke, I'd be swinging by there once a week for a treat.

tomorrow will be weigh in day for me.

nevermind that I've been sipping on egg nog and jack all evening.

I'm going to say samer, although the scale kind of wiggled back and forth. I feel a little down about it, but I would just be making excuses. I was sick 2 weeks in a row, so no gym, just the home exercise bike, and I was so tired I didn't get on every night. My eating has been up and down (How could I pass up donuts, muffins, and cookies in the staff room, then order and eat a plate full of fries at Chili's?) I know I won't be making the Thanksgiving challenge, so I just have to get past that, "What's the point, I might as well eat everything in sight" mentality. I have a total holiday goal (like, where I'd like to be Jan. 2) but I don't want to say it, because then I feel humiliated if not reaching it.
Well, first my weigh in info...I am down 3.2 lbs this week! That brings me back to 217.2, where I was when I surpassed my Thanksgiving goal the first time. :thumbsup2

I've been working really hard on getting into a habit of getting in my exercise. That's part of the reason I haven't been around much lately.

I have another shopping trip planned this Saturday, but I think I need to make a to do list for Sunday. I have to finish up my next TR installment. I did work on it last night. Maybe I can get it finished tonight? Depends on what DH has planned. I know we'll probably be eating at Chili's. We seem to end up there every Friday night now that his sister is working there. (And I can be good there too! :thumbsup2 )

There's also laundry that needs attention. And apparently, it's time to make my Christmas list for DH. We are reducing our budget this year for each other's Christmas, what with the Disneyland trip rapidly approaching. We also need to decide on where we want to eat both on our January DL and May WDW trips, and make ADRs for May. Wow! I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed. It seems that if I really focus on the weight loss and activity levels, other things get neglected. :( Anyway, I'm gonna use Sunday to try to do some catching up.

What do you eat at Chili's? Probably not the plate of fries, huh? I talked to DH about renewing our DL APs so I could meet up with you in Jan. If you are still interested, please PM me.

Ok kids. Utahmama's scale is not working and she doesn't have a replacement battery.....so I'm taking a free pass this week too. I figure she is my fearless leader therefore I must do whatever she does.....unless she actually gets on the cool treadmill...that would be taking it too far!;)

I put down 5 lbs for my Thankgiving challenge and I only have five pounds to go to make it!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: I think I'll go shave my legs, and ny armpits and my head , then I'll cut my fingernails and toenails. Hmmm any other suggestions?:confused3
How about a high colonic? Not that I'm saying you're full of it. ;)

I will definitely try and get some pics :thumbsup2

And peeps, I have forgotten some more awesome news! I finally got word today that the class I needed to take next semester will be being offered! And even better it will be online! So much easier than driving down to school from work once a week. So come late April, I will FINALLY be finished with my Master's! :cool1:

Wooo hoo! :thumbsup2 I make a whopping $100 a month for having my Master's. The knowledge itself, however, is far more valuable. It's a great feeling of accomplishment to finish it.

Did I say that I'm thrilled parent teacher conferences are over? I did 20 thirty minute conferences this week, and they are very emotionally draining. I would have had a margarita at Chili's tonight, but I'm so tired, I thought my head would hit the table. I drank 3 big glasses of water instead. And I did have the black bean burger instead of a beef burger, so it was better than it might have been. It was just those fries that threw me off. Oh well, better to keep trying than not.

The following is going to sound like a lie, but is, in fact, true!

Uhhhh, my battery on my scale is "lo" and won't zero-out so I can weigh and I have no batteries to replace them with so I'm S.O.L. and I'm pretty sure it was a not good week what with the Abry's Arby-Q sandwiches being 99 cents and all and a son who works there and brings home curly fries and Japapeno Poppers with that yummy berry sauce plus that stupid Thanksgiving challenge is stressing me totally out. I'm super close! One stomach flu should do the trickaroony, yet I sabotage myself with curly fries. I could always get on my super cool tred mill with drink holders and magazine rack . I do but never for any length of time to make a difference.

You parents out there know the longer the story, the more NOT true it is. But I really have no batteries and no $ to buy em.

So I am a FREE PASSER today. See? I didn't fib a "samer"....:rolleyes1

No batteries? How can you be out of batteries? Don't your kids have toys?

No it's weird. NO batteries at all. ;)

9volts, or I'd just grab the one's out of the TV remote.

AND? HOW did we do at our first weigh in?

Thus far we are only at 12.3, the lowest in the history of the thread by a bunch.
So? did you lose any weight? Same? Gain? anything?

I forgot to mention that Spongemommie threw a snowball at me today. I would put it in my signature but I am technically challenged. So, I will just tell her thank you for it here. Thank you SpongeMommie. I tried to put a Halloween Boo that someone else sent me but was only able to get it to appear as a red X.

Good idea about using the ones from the remote control. Who needs a scale anyway? Especially if you have a son working at Arbys.

I believe that there is a thread on the budget board about this. From what I have read it is very good. You can go to their website and read about it. I almost did it--might when summer comoes around.

DD has her first swim meet today. Joshua woke up this morning at 5 and I heard him, but he headed right for the playroom. ABout 10 minutes later I went to check on him and he had the tv on static and sound asleep on the sofa. Well I headed to the shower and came back into the room to check computer and he wakes up. Says HEY MOMMMA HERE IS BEKAH'S PABBY---takes the pabby out of his mouth and gives me the one in his hand also. No wonder she has the crud :headache: He traded his for hers.:rolleyes1

UTAH--I so understand about the batteries. Our DVR batteries died for the remote--but only in one room. The room that died was were the kids watch. Well I did not have any AAA so I didn't worry about it since they aren't allowed to watch on the weekdays. Well I forgot to get them for last weekend --- they were not happy. Everytime I left the house they would remind me to pick up batteries.

Wonders--CONGRATS on the class. That makes life so much easier.

Well we have to be at the pool at 7:30 so I need to wake the older two and pack up for the younger two. This should be FUN!!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. It was almost 7am when I woke up! I KNOW! Not like me at all.

The thing about Saturday is that I'm up 3 hours before anyone else wakes up so I have plenty of DIS time. But. There's never anyone on the DIS on Saturday. :confused3

Anyway....I've got lots of laundry and house cleaning to do today. I need to go out and rake the yard. We have a HUGE tree in our yard that drops all its leaves the week before Thanksgiving every year. Now THAT is some good exercise!

Mel....Love your new place! :thumbsup2

Lynda....You GO, girl! I'm so proud of you!

Everybody else.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY! :flower3:

awwwwwwww......what a cutie! i'm so glad you guys found a place where you could keep him cause there's no way i could've given him up!!!! has he got beagle in him? love the apartment, by the way!
We think so... he def has lab and pointer so it could be from the pointer but his size seems to point to something else like a beagle! ;)

ThinkTink75 - the apartment is cute. I love the kitchen table, how did you do that. My bathroom is classic pooh and I working on my bedroom, just can't find the right thing, I want something purple. Thanks... it just looks like the table is covering like that, the decorations are placements but they are really thin and blend well... thats why I haven't changed them even though they are summery! lol! I don't love our bedroom quilt myself, I would like somethign with more green and can't find it-- I know how you feel! I am just stuck sticking with what matches until I find somehint I really like. :)

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:
Mel....Love your new place! :thumbsup2
HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY! :flower3:
Thanks so much! Hope your weekend is wonderful as well! :goodvibes

I lost 6.4 pounds!!! for a total in the thanksgiving challenge of 7.6!!!!

Let's just hope I can keep that off given the Holiday week!

Popped in for a second........... first time to DIS in weeks..........

I still trying to maintain my last 5 lbs lost. I've lost, gained and relost the same 5 lbs more times than I want to count....... I'm currently up about 2.5 from my lowest weight and still 15 lbs from goal............ I know I'd do better if I was on here more often.

Punkin and Heather~ I do ExpoTV, it's alright and I think they've sorted themselves out again. They used to pay a flat rate for all reviews but then changed to a tiered payout system so you get $2, $5 or $10 for your videos. It was taking them a long time to approve the reviews but they have gotten much faster in the last month or so. There are still a few issues with products in their database (shared with Amazon) and you have to provide a website to prove the product is available. All in all, it's not bad for a few hours of work. I know I sent PMs to people a few months ago with details about the site and another review site. If you get started now, you'll get paid for Nov around the middle of Dec so you can earn a bit more cash for the holidays. :goodvibes :thumbsup2 I'm noni_m_designs on Expo if you want to check out my reviews and there are a ton of DISsers so you'll have plenty of friends so your views will be higher and you'll earn lots more pennies. Let me know if you have any questions!

I've got $$ burning a hole in my pocket and want to hit a few pre-BF sales so I'm going to run!

Hi all...

I know I'm straggling in with my numbers, but I was so busy yesterday I didn't get a chance to post. Anyway, I actually have a 1.2 pound loss!!! :cool1: :dance3:

This is MY FIRST LOSS AS A PEEP!! :goodvibes

Some of you may recall that I have been struggling a bit in my personal life and with work, etc. And that I have not had any weight loss in quite a while. This has been a major boost for me. And I'm hoping that this trend will continue.

Have a great day. :flower3:

Pakey - Good for. Sometimes you need a little carrot cake.

celerystalker - :thumbsup2 . WOW

SingingMUA - Yeah for you

Oh, UM, I am SO sorry your son works at Arby's! If any of my friends or relations worked there I'd be gaining 30 pounds, instead of losing it with my Peeps!

Actually, I'm not losing it - I'm a SAMER again this week! What is UP with that? I've been doing well with exercise and okay with food - not great - so I probably won't make my Thanksgiving goal, unless I do a drastic starvation diet. The only good thing is, I'm responsible for making the turkey this year (why? Have I ever made a turkey? Thanks a lot, Mom!) and I'll probably be so tired of looking at turkey that I won't eat any!

For those of you who've read or watched "The Secret": What do you think about their philosophy on weight loss? From what I could gather, if I think to myself "I am so happy and grateful that I am a size 10" as a mental motivator, I will lose weight. Anybody tried it, or think it will work? Really, I will continue to do the other things, but I have this belief that nothing I do will really make a difference, so maybe more positive thinking would help. Just curious what you all think!

Celery - I am SO IMPRESSED! Keep it up!

Morning Peeps. Dropping by for a quick hello before I leave to go shopping for some new tennis shoes. I wear a D width, have all my life, so shoe shopping is always a challenge.

Amber--congrats on that huge weight loss. That is amazing.

Tia--congrats on your first peep loss. I hope that it's the start of many losses to come.

I did not eat the carrot cake. I did my 6 mile intervals last night and then decided why give up that progress to eat the carrot cake. DH ate the piece he bought for himself and I had one bite. Bryceton (DS26)/girlfriend are over here this morning so I told them to eat my piece. Bryceton is making fun of me for being such a control freak but I'm happier not eating it. I'm about 5 pounds from getting into a size 8 and I really want to make it by WDW in January even though it would mean buying new clothes (oh darn). I tried a pair of pants on yesterday and I could get them buttoned and zipped but they looked terrible. I have not been in a size 8 in 10 years so it will be a huge milestone for me. I'm just not sure I can get through those 3 days in Las Vegas with the reservations I made for meals without gaining a bunch of weight. I'll just have to wait and see.

I hope all of you have a great weekend. It's sunny and warm here today and I am looking forward to getting out and walking.

Faith

-1 lb! Sorry for the late check-in: I was on travel all week and didn't get back to the scale until this morning. I have 2 more to go for my Thanksgiving goal -- don't know if I'll make it, but I'm certainly going to try. Think I'll weigh-in on Wednesday next week (def don't want to weigh next Friday -- too much dressing)...

Hi to all! Hugs and PD to those who need them. Congrats and welcome to the losers/ samers and newbies. I haven't had time to catch-up and probably won't for a few days. I'll try to check-in as I can.

Smiles!!

tia - Great job!!!

Everyone - Keep in mind I had gastric bypass in February - so it's not like this is from actual work!

I go through spurts of losing and not losing.

Hey ya'll- just checkin in- its been a while...I about about 3 lbs away from my TurkeyDay challenge loss...and fluxing due to water due to AF...BUT better than that I have shed almost an inch off my hips... and 1/2 in off my lower abs!!!:cool1: feels great! clothes are fitting better...and muscles are peeping their little heads out in defiance of hte fat that covers my body!!! and as great as all that is...here's the kicker...i am not emotional eating. i am in control of my diet. if i want something i'll allow a spidge of it...but mostly i find i am craving good for me stuff...thats a really big change for me!!
