DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Ok, for you newbies out there, and anyone who needs a good laugh! I just dug this up from the Peep archives. I absolutely LOVE this dog now, but she did try my patience that day. :rolleyes1 ENJOY!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! (In my most desperate voice!)

Ok today has not been good. Aunt Flo came a week early today. I went to PetSmart with my new dog to show my dog trainer the new dog and get their wonderful coupons. You get those if you rescue a dog. They are great!

Anyway, afterwards I went across the street to get some gas. This is where it all started to go wrong.:sad2: When I finished pumping the gas, my machine was out of receipt paper! I hate it when that happens! I went to get my keys out of my car, and lock the dogs inside. Well, I pull on the door handle, and guess what??????? My new dog, Trixie, had locked the keys in the car! Well, I asked the nice man, who was pumping gas in front of me, if I could borrow his cell phone to call DH. Mine was in the locked car of course. I left a message on DH's cell phone telling him to come get me that the dog had locked the car with my keys inside. I know I shouldn't leave my keys in the car, but I was in a hurry (trying to get home in time to get DD off the bus). You know how things go wrong when you are rushed.:sad2: Well, I did have a little pixiedust: moment when I crossed to go get my receipt from inside the store, I saw my neighbor's sister in the car I crossed in front of. I motioned for her to pull over. I asked her to call her sister, my neighbor, and tell her to get DD off the bus for me. As I am talking to her, I see a car pull up behind mine. I decide to go tell them that I won't be moving soon. When I walk up to the car, it is a former neighbor! I tell her I can't move my car because the DOG LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE CAR! She said, "you mean the one sticking her head out the window?" Wow another pixiedust: moment, my crazy new dog rolled down the passenger window too. I was able to pull her out, and reach in and unlock the door.

DH just cheered me up with a very funny email. He said that maybe our "old" dog is giving the "new" dog bad doggy info. "If you push those buttons, that lady will think that is really funny!"

Sandy - I was wondering why you posted as eeyore. :confused3 You are going to be schizo before it is all over. :rotfl2:

zigzagzerr - Sending you major amounts of pixiedust: !!!!

Pakey- You better shield the puppies eyes before letting them see my story. ;) :lmao:

i thought you guys would get a slight smile (maybe even a laugh) outta this. i was just uploading pics off my camera and i forgot about this one. this was taken saturday night after the reception (the one that became the bane of my existence for a few days). remember that we had 1/2 a keg of miller lite at our house at this point. :rolleyes1 the shells that ray is holding are some seashell bowls i ordered to use at the reception - anna and chris went with a beach theme since they were married on the beach. anyway, i had just finished washing them and ray decided they weren't bowls at all, but that instead he was going to use them to do his best immitation of ariel. he proceeded to hold them over his chest and start singing, "under the sea" and dance around the room. now we all know ariel DOESN'T sing that song but ray's a disney newbie, so i can understand his confusion. besides, i love that he made the effort! anyway, you know i had to share the picture. ;)

Picture001-3.jpg

:lmao: He tried

I have had so much water today I am spending more time in the little girls' room than at my desk. TIP: I have started using Benefiber in my water to help get the needed amount in my diet. It seems to help quite a bit.

I know what you mean about going to the little girls room. How much Benefiber do you put in? Do you do it every glass? What I do is fill a plastic container of 64 oz of water (Those ones that you make iced tea or kool aide) then I put one diet peach iced tea crystal light (the ones for the water bottles) so essentially it's just giving the water a little kick and sometimes I need it, plain water sometimes gets to me after a while so this I am able to drink all my water for the day. There's my little tip.

So....I went to my annual gyn exam yesterday, no big deal. Except that the doctor found something. And is sending me for a mammogram. She told me not to worry (yeah, okay ;) ). I have an appointment in 2 weeks. I know I'm probably getting all worked up about nothing, but even so....it's a little bit scary. So any good thoughts you can send my way would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

:grouphug: pixiedust: Here's a hug for you and some pixie dust. Keep us informed.

Laura

Hope everyone's having a good day-before-weigh-in day! I've been trying to do better this week...so it better freakin' pay off!
I've been doing a lot of interval training on the treadmill lately. Well, I have bad knees...runs in the family. So, the running, is doing quite a number on me! Anyone here wear a knee brace when they work out? Do they help?

MRN.....Danielle is usually the last to post every night since she's in CA. You must be a night owl in MS!!!
I am a night owl, but on a normal basis, I go to bed around midnight. Even then I'm usually not sleepy...definitely tired from chasing a hyper 3-year-old around all dady...but not sleepy. But the reason I've been up so late lately is my 11-week-old DD. My DH and I have it worked out to where I stay up late and feed her one last time...then I go to bed. He, then, wakes up for the early AM feeding while I sleep in a little later. It works out b/c he's an early bird...whereas I canNOT function early in the morning!

:rotfl: I've just realized that if I want to do "me" things, then I've got to do it all at once! Doesn't mean I do it well, though! ha!

I may have to go searching in the depths of the Peep thread again, and go dig up that post again. It is hilarious now, but not so much at the time. It was January, and she was locked in the car with my keys and my cell phone. I'll go looking for it later, and post it after work. It is really funny!
Hope you can find it! Can't wait to read all about it!

MRNsMommy,11 weeks old...congrats! My youngest is 19 months and I have a hard time remembering what 11 weeks was like. It is so much fun. Exhausting, but fun. I gained a whopping 54lbs with the first (damn steak fries craving. Sidenote: I ate 5lbs of steak fries a week!!!) and was almost at my pre-pregnancy weight when I found out I had another on the way. I gained 32lbs with my youngest and am trying to lose that plus the reaminder of what I had gained with baby #1.
Oh, I hear ya'! Those cravings will get you every time! My biggest craving this time around was waffles w/ LOTS and LOTS of syrup! Unfortunately, the craving did not go away after I had her! I still want them! So, I allow myself to eat them once a week!

Nikki You are the empress of multitasking. I've got 2 23" side by side monitors and I still can't do all that you are trying to do. My OCD would go nuts trying to control it all.
The key word in what you wrote is "trying"! I didn't say I do it all well! LOL!
I booked my Disneyland Paris package yesterday. Do you know they have VIP fastpasses at that park? I booked the Disneyland Hotel (which the CM said is like the Grand Floridian) and I got VIP fastpasses with the room level I selected (the terminology is different but I think it's concierge level--I just wanted those fastpasses).
:thumbsup2 Very cool! I'm jealous! I'd love to go to Paris...and Disneyland on top of that!

sherman is limping and i can't figure out why. we're gonna give him until the end of the weekend to get better and if not, i'll be taking ANOTHER trip to the vet. he's getting old so his joints are probably just bothering him. i hope it's something as simple as that!

I went through this last year! I worried myself to pieces the whole time until I got my results back. My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor (two times over), so, of course, I was worried. My Dr.(and my dad...who is also a family doctor) kept telling me that more than likely it was nothing. Everything did turn out ok, but I know that it is scary...so my thoughts are with you!:goodvibes

Punkin-OK, if any of y'all are bored and want to read a little something, I wrote a story today! I posted it on the Community Board...

lots of  and pixiedust: is on its way!!!! like pakey said, worrying will do you absolutely no good. (i know....easier said than done, right???) i found a lump in my groin area a few years ago, so i know how you feel. that uncertainty is just horrible! luckily as soon as the nurse practitioner felt it, she said, "oh, that's just your bartholin's gland. those get stopped up sometimes" like it was nothing! but thank goodness it was! let us know how it goes.

Remember me?

i do!!! how are ya? where ya been?

:rotfl2: what a great story!!!!

i'm gonna be even more sore tomorrow.....i know it! there were only 3 people in class tonight and when that happens we turn into anna's guinea pigs. it's not fun!!! i know it's all for the good of me, but it's so frustrating because the results are like a week away. i guarantee i'm gonna be a gainer tomorrow!

Allie Between your puppy story and Wendy's mouse story and Dawn's Little Mermaid picture/story, I have been laughing all afternoon. Chuckling does burn calories, right? I'm sorry I have nothing to add, not one funny thing happened to me all day.

Thanks for sharing.

I just skimmed, but I wanted to say -
punkin - ray is so cute! Is it ok to say that? heh. I swear I'm 99% gay.

also be sure to wave on your way to your family things next week!

oh yeah - I also like the pic choices for your family.

hope everyone has really skinny dreams for weigh in tomorrow.
I won't be able to weigh until Saturday.
I'm driving home from a business trip tomorrow and we ALL KNOW you only weigh first thing in the morning, after you go to the bathroom while you are nekkid just before you get in the shower.
I'm in serious debate as to whether or not toothpaste residue adds to the scale.

ok.
I'm goofy tonight!
say good night, gracie!
good night gracie!

Ahhh HA! This proves you're really 70 years old.
You look goood! ;)

OH! It's friday EVE! NOOOO! I just ate pizza! It was Thin de-light, but I ate 3 pieces while watching Earl and office and 30 Rock. Dangit. I want one more day!

OMG! I am dying!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: That is so something that would happen to me! But you handled it quite well! I have anxiety issues and would've probably had a panic attack!

Doesn't 1-800-Flowers have an at-home job program? I think they hire even more people during the holidays, too...might be worth checking out!

I'm in serious debate as to whether or not toothpaste residue adds to the scale.
Haha! I've debated that in my head several times on weigh-in mornings myself!

Hope everyone has skinny results in the morning!

And I sent off the check yesterday to pay for our second DVC addon--175 more BeachClub points. DH is still a little disgruntled over that decision as we already have more points that we normally use in a year. I just don't think there is such a thing as too much Disney. And in two months, I'll be at WDW.

I hope everyone works hard for the weigh in tomorrow.

Faith
OOOOOOh! I'm so jealous. You deserve this, though.

And Everybody you have to read this thread about worst gifts ever. I was literally crying I was laughing so hard at Pakey's contributions. (OK, I posted on p. 11, but it just doesn't compare). http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1637264

PD coming your way. I've been through this several times, and for me it's always turned out to be nothing of importance. I'm praying that's true for you, too.

Good night all.

Down 1.5!!!!:cool1:  :cool1: I didn't think I would lose anything this week since I haven't had time to exercise. I am so much more motivated!princess:

I didn't weigh in today (would you believe that I do not own a scale). I go to WW on Tuesday's for my weekly weigh in and I didn't go this past Tuesday because my DS had bronchitis so I couldn't go this week. I hope I didn't break any rules.

Just a quick fly-by post to record a 1.4 pound gain this week. Definitly not my best effort, and it most likely means that I won't be reaching my Thanksgiving goal. :sad2:

The wife and I are both off of work today to hopefully finish up all of our Christmas shopping before the big post-Thanksgiving rush. I'll update the Thanksgiving goal spreadsheet first thing Monday morning.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone.

And I am down 1 lb this week.

Have a great day!

:thumbsup2 GOod job

thanks so much for your suggestion! i went to check it out and it's a no-go. they have a list of states whose residents are eligible for employment and georgia's not one of them. :confused3

what a great thread! i'm going over there now to post some bad gifts.

i'm not weighing in yet. i'm gonna give myself a little while to see if i have any potty luck. i feel so silly saying that!

The following is going to sound like a lie, but is, in fact, true!

Uhhhh, my battery on my scale is "lo" and won't zero-out so I can weigh and I have no batteries to replace them with so I'm S.O.L. and I'm pretty sure it was a not good week what with the Abry's Arby-Q sandwiches being 99 cents and all and a son who works there and brings home curly fries and Japapeno Poppers with that yummy berry sauce plus that stupid Thanksgiving challenge is stressing me totally out. I'm super close! One stomach flu should do the trickaroony, yet I sabotage myself with curly fries. I could always get on my super cool tred mill with drink holders and magazine rack . I do but never for any length of time to make a difference.

You parents out there know the longer the story, the more NOT true it is. But I really have no batteries and no $ to buy em.

So I am a FREE PASSER today. See? I didn't fib a "samer"....:rolleyes1
