Dawn..... Sorry about the sudden change of plans! Somehow I'm sure the new venue will turn out to be better.

Gayle.....I don't usually fly but I think I would put my bathing suit and a change of clothes for dinner in my carry on....just in case ME is slow.

Pam....I think Gayle is right. All our schools are locked up tight as a drum here. I think they don't have school for the safety of the kids...not to mention the parking issues if school was in session.

Nancy....YAY for pilates! I've never done pilates but again...maybe when the kids are gone.

Everybody....Treat yourself to some new underwear! I like Wendy's idea about some nice matching sets at Vicky's but if you're in between sizes, at least go to Wal*Mart and get a six-pack of Hanes! You never know when you might be in an accident!

thanks! i told anna that this is all happening for a reason....it's just hard to see that right now! we're meeting rebekah at noon today to look at the new place. it's smaller but if we can rent tents (w/ walls) to cover the two patios then maybe can make it work. we'll just have to see!!! keep your fingers crossed for me!

that's classic! i banned victoria's secret bras from my lingerie drawer years ago because they fall apart after you wash them a couple of times. i'm not paying $50 for a bra and then it fall apart on me! i'll stick with my wal-mart hanes brand, thank you very much!

Sorry for taking so long to reply to the kind hello's. Grad school, work, and medical appointments are kicking my bum lately.

On the tree discussion, I've wanted a real tree since I was in 5th grade, but hubby is adamant on the no factor. Although he is trying to convince me to let us do an all Disney Christmas tree. I wonder if I can get him to compromise and do his tree on a real one.

I missed who it was that mentioned doing Pilates, but I'm thinking about giving it a go again. I just remember hurting for days afterwards the first time.

In other news related to me, one of the medical visits I was in for was getting a full thyroid panel run. Yay! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in high school, but have fought with my new doctor ever since we moved here to actually run the full panel and not just the TSH one. I'm praying hard that the NP finds what needs to be found. I'm tired of being cold!

Good morning all. This is the 3rd day in a row I have been on time to work. There's got to be a reason for this and whatever it is, I'm grateful that my energy seems to finally be improving. My oncologist had told me it would take at least a half a year after finishing my treatments before I'd start to feel normal again. It's been almost 3 months and I'm just now starting to see a small improvement. I'm very grateful for it.

Dawn I'm sorry for your stress. I can't imagine how bad I would be freaking out if I were you. I'm high strung anyway and I don't like anyone messing with my plans. However, I have watched many of those designer wedding shows on cable and I've seen where they had separate "rooms" for the dancing that they kind of set up like a night club--small and intimate. So I think you can still provide a very stylish and fun reception.

Majic I feel for you on the teenager. I'm still trying to get the youngest (whose 26) to grow up and quit causing so much grief. Raising teenagers can sure shoot a hole in your self esteem. You just have to remember IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S THEM!!!!

Regarding the Vickie's underwear. Until their commercials show women in their 50's looking good in their products, I think I'll stick with my Hanes too.

Course the stomach flu for 2 days means I've achieved my Thanksgiving goal (almost) that is If I can maintain this GIFT from the stomach flu gods

My jeans fit loose which rocks! Now I need a smaller belt because I refuse to buy new ones till I absolutely need them.

Gap used to have these jeans that looked goodish on me. They were "reverse fit" jeans. Small waist and bigger in the seat. I swear, they made my hips looks smaller. But no longer. COOL jeans require fancy wax-jobs and regular maintenence which I dontthinkso

SOOO true about Vickie's bras!! I think they are super comfy but they do deteriorate in the wash..i actually went back with one of them and they exchanged it for me..its only a matter of time before the new one self destructs!

All this talk about bras, waxing and maintenance!!! Even though I can't relate to the bra dilemma, I do understand wanting quality undies. I still own boxers from when I first met my wife 5 1/2 years ago. They're faded, but still do their job. And waxing? I don't even like to shave my face!

I didn't realize that you went to Curves...do you like it!? I am loving it..since joining i am noticing changes i would never have seen by going to a "traditional" gym..and i don't get bored..

I absolutely love it! I missed it super hard the two months I was off my feet to rest a foot injury. I had no idea how fast I'd get outta shape after that. Ouchies! But it's great to go and our center is run by some fabulous people, which makes me even happier!

I am tired of Halloween candy hanging around. I wish it would just get gone already! (At work AND at home!)

On the Vicki's bras, I have never had trouble with mine. I wear the Body by Victoria line, and they last SO long! I have had a couple that had an issue after a TON of wear, but I have like 8 right now, and they are just great. I wash them on gentle and hang them to dry, and no problems for me.

OMG! I am absolutely at that comment! So true, so true! Whoever the designer is that finally figured out the new long-shirt trend is a genious! I was really getting sick of having to hold my shirt down every time I squatted or bent over!

Sorry Wendy. There is not enough Wonder in any bra once you are over 50. After that, you have to have actual machinery involved for the hoisting.

Melinda...i think I may do that. However, I am hoping we'll be able to get to the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot instead. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed!)

Wendy...When I've tried on Wonder Bra's I feel like "the girls" are hoisted so high I then have 4 chins!!! (Of course, hubby those bra's!!) I also use to wear the Reverse Fit jeans from The Gap. They were made for a real woman's body and fit great after having kids! What happened to those???

It is getting so close for me to be leaving, I can't believe it! I am just about totally packed, but definitely can not bring my pillow! It just doesn't fit! The gals and I are getting together tomorrow night for the last meet before the trip! I'll update my pre-TR after that.
