Harley - Thanks for sharing your new success. Hearing everyone's stories of making positive changes is inspirational (and just what I need right now)

Pakey - Good job resisting the candy corn. Makes me stop and think about some of the things I do choose to eat.

Tinkabella - Happy birthday! And congrats on the pink laptop!

Melinda - No school on election day?? Our schools stay in session, you just go vote in the gym. They probably don't have PE on election day?? or maybe they go outside?

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Just a quick hello for everyone else. :goodvibes

We do a real tree! I just can't do fake...I know some of them are really lovely, but it's just that smell...and it's not the same, to me, from a spray can! We usually go to a Christmas tree farm the weekend after Thanksgiving and put it up shortly after.
BTW, I notice you are from Hattiesburg...I live in Terry (outside of Byram...outside of Jackson, if you don't already know that)...where do you go to tag yours? I'm assuming a Christmas tree farm as well.
As for decorating it...My DH and I started a tradition of buying a Christmas ornament every time we go on vacation, so our tree is filled w/ those, ornaments our DD1 has made, and other family ornaments. We definitely don't have the "pretty" tree...but it's pretty to me! Although, we have a huge picture window in our upstairs bonus room, so this year I'm thinking of doing a fake tree up there and decorating it all pretty.

I know where you are. I did not realize there was another person from MS here. There is a small tree farm not far from our house. He only charges between 25 and 45 depending on the size. The last 2 years we have gotten 8 ft. trees for only $35 and they are great trees. We went there when we first moved in our home---DD is allergic to everything and we wanted to try a real tree knowing we might have to takeit down in a few days so we did not want to spend a fortune. She did fine with the tree and we go that route each year now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINKABELLA

OK Aron close your eyes...or better yet just go to the next post!

Female peeps! It's time for me to buy new undies! My undies have decided they want to be thongs! They keep creeping you know where!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: So does this mean I need larger undies to better cover my :eeyore: or smaller undies? :confused3

Good morning peeps

Tinkabella Happy birthday.

Noni Don't get discouraged. The weight will come off.

Dawn I've been trying the interval training on my treadmill too although I didn't know what it was called. I think it's really making a difference.

Misty Thanks for my gobble.

Wendy/Tia/Sandy I hope you guys are having a better day today.

Harley
Congrats on the loose clothes. It's it certainly makes you feel better doesn't it?

Pixie Not sure on the undies answer but I'm an optimist so I say, go for a smaller size!

Melinda Singing with Celine? I can't go there, even when I'm alone. It would be so awful that I'm sure Celine would be able to hear and she'd come and clobber me. Only a little over two weeks until I see her again in concert. It's such a great show.

To the Mississippi Peeps I spent 10 years living in Gulfport and out of all the places I have lived, it was by far my favorite.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday. I made it to work early which is a miracle so I know it's going to be a wonderful day.

Happy Borthday Tinkabella!!!!:cool1: Congrats on the pink laptop! Pink is my favorite color!

I am not letting this weight thing beat me!!!! I just got off the treadmill and I did a hard workout! I feel good and will do some more exercises today! When I was on the treadmill I would close my eyes and picture me walking on Main Street in WDW with my DH and DKids and I would be healthy, thin and having a ball! This was very motivating for me!

Happy Birthday Tinkabella!

Man! I'd LOVE a pink laptop. I absolutely love pink, pink, pink! My phone is pink, my purse is pink, I want pink everything.

Pixie Dust- You need new panties! What's wrong with unintentional thongs? :cool1: I say, get yourself something from Vic's in PINK. And spritz yourself with the fragrance "Pink" while you're there, my favorite! Wait! You'll need matching :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc holders!!! :lmao: See how much I love spending other people's money???

Everyone- We'll see if my stomach flu did it's temporary magic when I weigh on Friday! I WILL have a pretty number! (dangit!)

Yay! I just took Miss Norah to pre-school and only have one little'un who is eating her breakfast and watching Dragon Tales...buying me a few precious DISminutes

!!!Thanks to all y'all who've commented on my TR!!! I totally LOVE you guys! :grouphug:

I need to do this too! But I keep refusing.
At first it was because I was going to wait until I was in a 16, which I kinda am now - but those two pounds from last week made me mad and I'm hovering between 16 and 18.
so now I'm not going to do it until I'm in a 14.
ha!
maybe.

:rockband: :cake: party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINKABELLA!!! :dancer: :bday: :rainbow:

They use to have school on Election Day here, until one of the HS kids got hit by a car while jay walking at the school. I think it's a safety issue for the kids as well...all those strangers in the building! :confused3

Well, I am down to 5 Days!!! :woohoo: I can't believe I leave this Sunday! I have been planning so long, that it's hard to believe it is actually here! I am looking forward to the sun:sunny: & warmth, as it's cold & snowing here!!! :scared1: Now to finish packing and get my carry-on set.

Question??? What do you carry in your carry-on???

i'm so stressed out!!!!!!!!!! some of you may have "heard" me post that i'm co-hosting a reception for anna (fitness trainer/best friend/wonderwoman) and chris. my co-host called me a few hours ago and informed me that her mother's sudvision's clubhouse (where we were to be having said reception) was double-booked for saturday and therefore we don't have the clubhouse any more. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: WHAT??????????????????? i'm freaking out. i think we've got a plan to use the other smaller clubhouse though. the actual room isn't big enough for what we need, but there's 2 patios, one covered and one not. we can rent a tent for the uncovered one and then rent those side wall things and a heater to keep us warm and put the food in one tent and the dance floor in the other one. the only problem is that when anna and chris do their first dance and when they do the daughter/father, son/mother dance no one will be able to see them from the dining area (where everyone will probably be sitting). do you guys think that will look stupid???? i just need some feedback. we're going there tomorrow morning to look at it - it's hard to envision because i haven't seen this smaller clubhouse. rebekah (my co-host) is breaking the news to anna as i type this. i'm just waiting for my cell to ring with a very stressed-out, crying new bride on the other end! i'm not a happy girl!!!!!!!! :sad2:

Who here gets a real tree for Christmas? Alos, when do you guys put up your trees--fake or real? We use to put up a fake tree and it would go upt TG night or the next day. Now we do the real thing and it goes up anout 2 weeks before Christmas. I think we might go this weekend and tag our tree :cool1: Nothing like trees to put me in the SPIRIT :cool1:

We have always had a fake tree but this year we are going for the real thing. :thumbsup2 I don't want anything huge (maybe 3 to 4 feet) because we will be in Disney World for Christmas. I have always decorated the day after TG but my sister, a couple of other gals and myself are getting together for an all day shopping trip on the 23rd. And so...the tree will probably go up the Saturday after TG and come down the Sat. before we leave.

My family calls me the Christmas Nazi and says that I suck the joy out of the holiday season with my anal decorating.

:rotfl2: BTW, your Christmas decorating sounds beautiful. Maybe you could take some photos to share with us. My tree is done in a winter theme. If it's not a snowman, snowflake or at least something related to winter, then it's not on my tree. Additionally, it has to be blue, white, silver, or clear to make the cut.

subbing so I can read through this thread later. I need soo much help and really really want to lose weight.

:welcome:

THERE'S A BIRTHDAY TODAY!
IT'S ONE OF OUR PEEPS WHO'S BEEN AROUND THE LONGEST AND IS ALWAYS THERE EVEN IF SHE DOESN'T ALWAYS "SHOW" HERSELF....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TINKABELLA!!!

Hope it's your most wonderful birthday ever, Kim!

Ditto! Happy Birthday Kim!

!!!Thanks to all y'all who've commented on my TR!!! I totally LOVE you guys! :grouphug:

A new installment. Yay! :yay: I'm on my way over there now! :thumbsup2

BTW, to anyone that's reading this. I'm patiently waiting to be gobbled. :rolleyes1 Just saying......

I was only able to skim. Every time I sat down the baby cried. How do they know those things?

Any ways, my kitchen remodel is about to start. I have about a week to clean everything out of there! We met with them on Sunday to sign the contracts, they came back out on Monday and we made some adjustments, (additions more like it) and tomorrow Tim and I go to Lowes. To help save some money we are buying the ceramic tile, the knobs for the cabinets, the over the stove microwave, lights, ceiling fans, grout, all that kind of stuff.

So, I know I will be so busy but around.

We do fake trees for christmas. My thread I started last year about the ornaments I made got busy again. Take a look if you are interested in Mickey Head tree ornaments.

Don't forget to take the BEFORE pictures! ;)

I remember those were sooooo cute! :cutie:

Hi again. This is really a fast moving thread. Just caught up from a couple days ago. Thanks for all the "welcomes". Now I just need to get here more often. I just finished the updated trip report. Yahoo.

Happy Birthday Kim!!!
:cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

And shameless plug and breaking news...I FINALLY updated my trip report Peeps! It's hard to believe, but true! :)

Happy Birthday, Kim!!!!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:
Nancy! I KNOW! I want to travel! Maybe when the kids are gone and married....they are so expensive! My picture looks the same to me. What did you see when you looked at it?
It was cut off just below the top of your glass - around your chin maybe. I thought it had kind of an "artsy" look.

I have been doing Pilates for the last two weeks. It's painful in a whole different way from the other things I've done, but I like it, and I think it is going to be successful. It makes me want to be more careful about what I'm eating in order to really see how much I can accomplish. Eating is clearly where I really still have tons of room for improvement! I eat so much less than I used to, but I still waste a lot of calories.

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow!

see that little turkey down there in my signature? if you get the link for that little guy in a PM, you've been gobbled. if you're interested in getting gobbled, let me know. that sounds really weird, doesn't it?
Ahh! Gotcha! I figured it had something to do w/ Thanksgiving! Smart, huh? It's this mommy brain of mine...I can't figure out the obvious lately!
But yeah, I'd love to be Gobbled! I probably shouldn't let my DH hear that...he might not like other people gobbling me! :rotfl:

Oh, and I read about your reception dilema! Sorry you've been put in a jam...crossing my fingers it'll all work out w/ the new place for y'all!

I know where you are. I did not realize there was another person from MS here. There is a small tree farm not far from our house. He only charges between 25 and 45 depending on the size. The last 2 years we have gotten 8 ft. trees for only $35 and they are great trees. She did fine with the tree and we go that route each year now.

I just joined you Peeps a few days ago, so that's probably why you didn't know I was here.
The lot you go to sounds great. We usually go to one in Florence that was owned by some family friends, but they sold it two years ago. Before the new owners took over, there were two different farms to choose your tree from, but now they only use one and there wasn't much variety last year. So, we are looking for a new place to get one. Do you remember the name of the one you go to?

To the Mississippi Peeps I spent 10 years living in Gulfport and out of all the places I have lived, it was by far my favorite.
I love Gulfport myself! Although, I may be a bit biased b/c that's where most of my mom's side of the family is from...and Biloxi, Ocean Springs, etc. It's pretty much like a second home for me there. There's still lots of work to be done from when Katrina hit, though. Sad :sad2:
