Still no word on my class situation. I will email her tonight and hope to get a response tomorrow. I've semi-settled with the idea that I may have to take a class over the summer and postpone graduating. Still stinks though and I'm really really hoping i don't have to do that.

Shannon...My son-in-law had one more class to take and was able to graduate with his class, then go one more semester to finish the last class. He received his diploma after he finished the class, but actually walked with his graduating class. Is that a possibility for you???:confused3 Just a thought.

Yeah all you Losers!!!! :cheer2:

I didn't weigh (I forgot! :sad2: ) and ate a BIG leftover burrito (heavy) so I'll wait until later ;) dangit!

Today my kids are home because it's UEA so I have to entertain them....by organizing the basement!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: YAYYY! I actually am looking forward to accomplishing this monumental task! We have tons of boxes of books and toys and holiday stuff. I want to thin it all out and donate a bunch of it.

We are playing Choo Choo train with laundry baskets! It's actually fun. But LOUD and I have a bit of a headache.

AAAAARaaarrrrrrgggg!!

What a day!! I couldnt sleep last night, trying to get a list of things together to go down to visit ds' - and then thinking I have to drive at night, and I only have x amount of hours to sleep - which kept dwindling

Then dd decided she would NOT go to school today. NO . NO . NO. so frustrating - she refused to eat breakfast, refused to brush hair and teeth, got her in car by refusing to let her have a birthday party tomorrow. She has a presentation at school and doesnt think she'll get 100% this teacher is something of a ..... (insert not nice name - she is a queen bee, A's arent a good thing for kids, no kid is perfect you know... helps build character - she's old school - her bff is the librarian that called dd the "B" word - dd was 2nd grader at the time... so frustrating... spent 30 min trying to get her out of the car - I went in to the school to demand a parent teacher conference since the teacher "yells" at my kid and now my kid doesnt want to go to school (and no the teacher couldnt yell if spiders and snakes were crawling on her, she is pretty, and calm, and a quiet person... very private too) But she is rigid in her rules... of course dd has been "caught" hiding out in the bathroom instead of being in class.. :sad2:

I talked to the social worker, and thats when dh got dd to come in, and get in the classroom...:sad2:

I'm working. First time in a long time - hard to work wiht dh schedule and dd schedule and one car. I really want to crawl in a hole....

and as I was getting ready this morning I took a deep breath and swalloed abug.... ewwwww.... not as bad as survivor - but still - I gagged!!

Gee Sandy! What a day already! for you.

it's the song from carousel of progress that ALWAYS gets stuck in your head after riding that ride!!!

Never been on it, so that explains it.

Good Morning Peeps! :wave2:

No time to catch-up today. I'm off to the local hospital for nursing clinicals.

I just wanted to post that I have no loss or gain (:sad1: on the no loss; :cool1: happy on the no gain) this week. I'm promise that I will do better next week. Later Tater.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm taters..................

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I love all the ipod run downs! I think I like Aaron's the best...for my taste. Which I hope does not insult you, Aaron! I would add Elvis Costello, The English Beat, The Talking Heads, Coldplay, Earth/Wind/Fire, and Squeeze. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

I do NOT have an Ipod. I'm not against them, it's just not high on my priority list. Both DD's have them. DD14 always has on the head phones and is singing something from Wicked or Hairspray or Beauty and the Beast. When I want to hear an old song, I just go to youtube!

Punkin...I love Tori Amos. We saw her in a small venue in Loo-uh-vull called The Palace a few years back and she was very good!

Monica....Your babies are beautiful! I love that little dent in Madelyn's chin! She is precious! BTW...I can just see you walking through the mall!

Fortunately, I was a little before the spiral perm phase. I was a little more in the disco era and got caught in the whole "preppy" phase in the early 80's. I was all Polo and Izod back then.

Y'ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY!!!

All of our kids have the indented chin. They get that from their father.

-1.5 I am actually down more than that this morning (and very close to my pre-beach vacation weight;) ), but since my weigh in day for WW is on Monday, I am reporting my weight loss as of Monday. Is that the longest sentence ever?!:rotfl: :rotfl2: Anyway, I'll save that reserve for next week. Hopefully there will be pretty numbers next week too. :cool2: I'm gettting closer to that number I need Aaron!:thumbsup2

Monica
- Your babies are precious! Prayers being sent for your decisions your family will have to make. I guess it is a good thing you found out before you actually STARTED remodeling your kitchen. ;)

But we are thinking if this house is going to sell, we have to do something to spruce up the kitchen. It's 30 years old.

Good Morning! Do you all have room for one more to join? I hope so!

I am new to posting on the DIS, but I have been reading for weeks now. My family and I are planning our very first WDW vacation so I have been absolutely addicted to reading these boards and learning all that I can!

I have also been trying to lose weight for far too long and have finally decided that this is it. I WILL lose this weight before our big trip! I want to be able to keep up with my children (ages 6, 5 & 3) and not tire out on them while touring the parks. I started exercising and eating right about a week and half ago, and I'm already down 5lbs!!!

I look forward to getting to know you all :)

:welcome: It will be fun reading about your plans for your trip. I'm sure if you have any questions we will all jump to the chance to offer all of our expertise!

DH has the big video ipod. I do wish I had more room on my nano, but I LOVE the size! (And it's pink! :cutie: )

Oh! And for those of us who were talking about how young FOB was...I found out last night that Pete (the bassist who started the band) is only 5 years younger than me! That makes him 28! That is NOT as young as I thought. Perhaps I should form a rock band to keep myself looking young? :confused3 :lmao:

I like some of your selections too Melinda! I can't believe I forgot Squeeze! I LOVE 'Tempted' and 'Black Coffee in Bed'! They are two of the first songs I put on my ipod.

I remember the Polo and Izod thing! I believe I had sweaters with some tiny animal logo embroided on them...worn over an oxford, of course! For some reason, that reminded me of sweater dresses! :rotfl2: Who remembers sweater dresses?

Hang in there! You'll have that Vera bag in no time! And you'll love it! (Now I want another one.)

OMG! And scrunchies! Yes! Those were a staple. :rotfl:

Sweater dresses! Yes I remember. And we would take our IOU sweatshirts, put them on and pull down to our waists and tie the arms like a belt and wear those as skirts. :sad2:

My mom and I were outside eating sandwiches and when my mom went to take a bite a ladybug laned just right on hers. I laughed into hysterics when she was trying to spit it out. It got stuck on the roof of her mouth.

I'm dying here trying to type this. Tears.....running down.......my face.

I'm sick I know it.

Happy Friday, it's the weekend.

Tim is making me crazy. I just want answers and he's taking forever to call his boss and the lady who offered him this position. His boss is on a plane. Land already!

I just want answers so we can make an intelligent decision here. I have no patience. The DIS is a good distraction.

Next week I'm IN.

So, I'm sitting here ready to jump out of my skin with excitement!!! :yay:

My friend just went to AAA to pick up all our documents for the trip! :woohoo: I'm soooo excited I can't stand it!!! :dance3: (Maybe all this bouncing will burn some calories!!! )

Good morning. My weight is -1.5

I'm pretty excited about it as I didn't think I'd have a loss but I did an extra mile on the treadmill last night and had a very light dinner. I'm now exactly at the weight I was at when I was diagnosed with cancer 10 months ago. Now I feel like I can actually move forward towards a weight loss that means something to me.

 :grouphug:

I do have a funny about bug swallowing. We had just left the Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street and found a seat in front of the Plaza. Anyway DD was being a little snot and that is me being nice. There was a bug flying around our ice cream and she lept blowing it away and it would come back. Well she did this several times and the last time she inahled--she got the bug but didn't realize it. She was just looking around to see where the bug went and then realized it was in her mouth. My DS and I laughed so hard until we cried--DH has it all on film---it was priceless.

UMama...mmm burrrritoooo.

And what's UEA? I'm guessing the "U" stands for Utah.

Goodness Sandy! I hope it gets better! I hate the whole "not getting A's builds character" BS. I got A's all through my childhood and HS (and most of college) and I've got plenty of character. A child should be encourages when the work completed is top-notch!

And about the bug...first, EW. I'd die. Second, think of it this way - it was a great source of lean protein!

Welcome Megan and congrats on your good start with the 5 lb loss. I'm Faith and I'm a new "peep" also, been here about a month. I'm not sure how much I want to lose total but I'm doing great with the short-term challenges we have going in this group. You'll pick up a lot of encouragement and ideas from the peeps here.

And how exciting that in 5 months you will make your first ever trip to WDW. I'll be looking forward to hearing what you have planned!!!

Great pic Monica! You look awesome!

I am not weighing this week due to a bad stress/sick week.

 Sorry you are having a bad day.

It is rainy and gloomy here today, but at least I finally feel like a person instead of a walking germy mess. :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome :)

Let's see, a little about myself.....

I live in Indiana, have been married for just over 8 years and have 3 great kids. Two girls, ages 6 & 5 and my little man whose 3. I work part-time with Children with Autism. I love my job, it's very flexible, fun and rewarding. :) When I'm not working life is all about my kids.....and planning my WDW vacation of course ;) I also watch my nieces on days that I don't work, so I tend to keep busy. I enjoy photography, reading, anything outdoors and watching football with my hubby :) That about sums me up!

All right, after the 1st wave of morning weigh-ins, the update on our Thanksgiving goal:

f_PeepGoalsm_bdb886f.png

MrsMegan: If you wanna join in, you can! We each just set goals that we hope to reach by Thanksgiving, and since it was my idea I'm responsible for keeping track of them. But we'll probably be setting goals after Thanksgiving that we hope to reach by Christmas, so if you want you can wait until then to do this. Just let me know!
