There were a group of us who loved them and we all liked a different New Kid, so no fighting over who ws gonna get which one. We did actually get to sort of 'meet them' once- they were hanging out of their tour bus window as they were leaving the concertn venue and we got to touch their hands. I know you are truly jealous now

Glad to "see" you and your new name! I didn't get to see Oprah because I have been painting Trixie's costume for tomorrow. Yes Trixie is my Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. She and Shadow are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2. They have a little costume contest at our local PetSmart. Shadow won third place last year, so we are hoping to place and get a gift card for free food!

I had to buy a red 6/9 month onesie to make Trixie's outfit. Luckily, my dd was Thing 2 a couple of years ago, so Shadow is going to wear her old shirt. Is that recycling or what? I was trying to network with your new identity, but I don't see where you can do that anymore. I thought you could use smilies once you posted 10 times and you were already at 25.

Fdil and I are driving down to UofI (I tried to talk them into next weekend - I hate crowds!!) He is in new apartment - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths...

He found out he got an A+ on an English paper!! The professor challenged him to redo his paper in 1st person, and ds did - but also did it in a "prose" style!!

(his 2nd A ever in English, and his first A+ EVER!! WOOHOOTY!!)

I think they are more of a neon Yellow, than lime green - so I would have fun and make something !! I got one for DH... and I think I'll put our names on them - it helps when you have so far to go to be encouraged by others!!

I used to call Peeps to fill in some missing info, prior to our Sept trip, but now I cant find a reason!! I get lonely! and the computer gets... cranky - shuts down... which gets me cranky...

I've taken up knitting again, and I've read at least 6 books!! (nothing exciting, or mind enriching - all happy endings tho!!)

thank you! i didn't realize i was squinting so badly until i saw the pics! that dad-looking guy is chris's (the groom) dad. the bride's dad wore shoes, too! and that bride is the person i refer to here as wonderwoman. she's one of my best friends and also my fitness trainer. THAT'S why she looks like that! sickening, huh?

luke is supercool. he's one of the coolest little guys i know. and he TOTALLY wears those sunglasses without anyone telling him to! he's the only 3-year-old i know that will do that!

That was a really nice wedding...everything looked so pretty and romantic. What a great way to start out married life. You are so lucky to go on so many trips!!! Since I've been reading this thread, you have been to alot of different places and you make it look so easy! I love the little mini trip reports. We don't live to far from Mama and Son's in Georgia (maybe a 2-4 hr drive? not positive) and I would love to schedule a little weekend getaway. Thanks for letting me enjoy the trips vicariously though!

i'm very lucky! but let me tell you......those trips have made a dent in my wallet! they've all been very short ones but they add up. plus my family lives out of state so i tend to travel to see them quite a bit, too!

The other thing you should know is that my mom used to take me to concerts ALL the time as a kid. Granted, it was The Oak Ridge Boys, Reba, Lee Greenwood, and various other country singers, but I went to a LOT of concerts as a kid. When I got into junior high and high school, I actually went to 3 New Kids on the Block concerts. (You know I love you guys to be telling you that one! ) And since leaving college, I've seen Garth Brooks, Survivor, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, No Doubt, Journey, Ashlee Simpson, Blue Man Group, and Gwen Stefani, among others. I LOVE concerts! Mom must have ingrained it in me. I WAS relieved not to be the oldest ones there last night though.

i love me some live music, too! my mom took me to my first concert when i was 7. she and i dressed alike in pink oxford shirts and jordache jeans and went to see lionel richie on the "all night long" tour! since i've been about 17 i go to at least 3-4 concerts a year, the best i've seen being pink floyd. INCREDIBLE live!!! madonna was pretty spectacular, too! and yes, i've seen NKOTB!

i had a couple of friends who would not be friends with other girls who liked either joey or donnie.....so weird! i loved jordan! my sister loved jon. what a couple of dorks! and i actually dated a guy my freshman year in high school that looked A LOT like joey....are you jealous!
