DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

that red sparkkling wine is amazing!!! it was our wedding night dinner wine we had... Everytime we got to the italy in Epcot we get a bottle... LOve it!!!
Its so depressing to be back

I need to make a little confession. Between yesterday and today I think I have eaten my weight in Hershey's kisses. I know I shouldn't have even brought them into the house, but I thought they would be gone by now or that I could resist them. Clearly I cannot. Other than that I have been eating super duper...I even went back to writing things down which is a huge help. But these darn kisses did me in. I'm getting my punishment though...I feel like I'm gonna hurl. Why does my motivation and desire to lose weight fluctuate so dramatically throughout the course of the day? This morning I was totally on track, ready for anything, then a couple hours later I could care less what I was eating. Now I'm feeling sick and guilty and ready to start fresh...again.

you know, i recently realized that i never really told you guys anything about the ohana's peep meet. i was so overwhelmed when i got home from disney that i didn't have time to really elaborate on it. so here goes......my mini TR of the peep meet!

side note: tara and i met lexmelinda on saturday at MK. we had previously talked about watching spectro together and we got seats near the gallows (sp?) in liberty square. she and her kids met us there. her kids are so nice and friendly, and of course so is she! i gave them 2 fastpasses to space mountain that we weren't gonna use and they were thrilled.....her little boy was dying to ride. anyway, here's a pic of me, tara and melinda waiting for spectro to start.

anyway, on to sunday. first off, around 3:00 on sunday it started pouring rain. at 3:45 we realized that there wouldn't be a beach peep pic because of the weather, so we opted to see the 3:55 showing of voyage of the little mermaid instead of leaving MGM. as soon as the show was over, we headed toward the exit. tara (eventer) stopped in a store near the front of the park to buy an umbrella while i called christine (aries) to let her know we were on our way. i left her a voicemail and we headed out. as we were getting in the car i got a call from her DH and told him who i was and that we were on our way to the poly. we valeted the car and hurried up to ohana's. we had to swing by the bathrooms because someone (i can't remember who!) had to pee, then we started looking around the ohana's waiting area for the peeps. i saw some lime green shirts over near the gift shop and headed that way. it was the peeps!

there stood melinda, wendy (utahmama), jen (dance), sandy (eeyore) and christine (aries) all with their families. i gave hugs all around, then we chatted and took pics. here's the one i've already posted.

i was gonna wear my green tank top, but it was at the bottom of my bag and i didn't have time to take it out before the pictures were taken, so i never changed into it!

we were seated and somewhere in the confusion melinda and jen left. i think jen's DD was having an infamous disney meltdown and melinda had ADRs at narcoosee's. i didn't get to say goodbye to them, but it was only because that place is just crazy! chaotic is an understatement.

we tried to get all the guys on one end and all the ladies on another, but i'm not sure it worked out that way. i sat between tara and wendy and across from cheryl (minnie moo), who showed up after the pic, and sandy.

i ordered a lapu lapu and when it (finally) came to the table, i think we were past the appetizers! needless to say, my throat was kinda dry! i loved the salad and the chips, but the meat was dry and i don't think i'll be back.

everyone's kids are just ADORABLE!!! wendy's two youngest DS's sat near me and they were so well-behaved! we tried to have as much conversation as we could, but it was so loud in there it was hard to talk to anyone except the person next to you! wendy told me about her tanning bed mishap (i'll let her spill the beans on that one!) and i talked to sandy about how her DD was on the plane and to cheryl about what they'd done so far at WDW. i didn't get to talk to christine much because she was on the other side of wendy and norah (wendy's DD).

at the end of the meal the server brought a surprise cake to wendy for our 40th birthday! it was a really sweet gesture! here's some pics....

i noticed that norah was making her own cake with the candles left over from wendy's cake.....so cute!

tara and erin went down to use the bathroom and do a little shopping at the gift shop while i waited on the check. hugs all around and i had to get outta there to make it to fantasmic!

anyway, sorry for not posting this earlier. i was super busy when i got back.....it was crazy!

It is definitely depressing. I have been home almost a week now and haven't finished being depressed.

Luckily, though, I go back in a month for a quick girls' weekend!

That is always a good remedy for DisneyBlues-itis. When are you going? I'll be in Orlando the weekend of the 27th and heading to Epcot on that Saturday (the 27th) and spending one night at Saratoga.

I don't think DST ends until two weeks into November this year. It started earlier this year and is supposed to end later.


Sandy - I did my 100 situps (actually I think they were crunches but they still worked my abs ) last night, and drank my water!

it's sometime in november thanks to our wonderful congress. they passed a law to change it so this year it ends later than usual. ray has been complaining about it for awhile now. he's such a baby when it comes to his sleep!

my sister called me last night crying because she was having small amounts of blood in her urine and she couldn't stop using the bathroom (#1). any ideas? i looked it up in my little medical book and i think it's either cystitis or she's having a kidney stone. but i would think with a kidney stone there would be more pain. ray had one in '99 and it was evident that it's REALLY painful. and she's not in pain so much...just feels the need to urinate all the time. i called her this morning and she said she went to the store after we got off the phone because she couldn't sleep and got some cranberry juice and pretty much chugged it to see if that would help. she went to bed around 2:00 and slept for about 3 hours before she had to pee again. she took the day off and if it's not gone by noon, she's going to the doctor. she doesn't get insurance with her job so she doesn't want to go. i told her i'd lend her the money becuase i know she'll pay me back, but she's stubborn about that kinda thing. anyway, does anyone have any ideas about what it might be? i've been lucky enough never to have kidney or urinary problems, so i have no clue.

I hear that! I bought a bag of plain m & m's last friday, i figured it was my "cheat day" so i could splurge then and just put the rest in a little jar and ignore them until next friday..yah, not so much.. those colorful gremlins are my weakness. Luckily i have been counting them, and taking them into consideration when i count cals.but still...it takes alot not to go crazy and eat them all....

It seems like I have seen something that is available over the counter now - but I can't remember what it was called. She could call ask a nurse and see if they have any suggestions but they will probably tell her to see a doctor. Hope she can find some relief today!

OH i know what it is..or most likely what it is...she had a bad UTI..urinary tract infection. I used to get those ALL THE TIME in my early twenties and finally i have stopped, knock on wood. She should go to her doctor and have her urine tested, they will give her a pain reliever ( that turns her pee orange..but who cares..it helps!) and an antibiotic. In the meantime if she is still in pain and going constantly, tell her to go and get Pazol at the pharmacy..that stuff is pretty good for helping the pain/urgency. Poor thing those are the worst! and so scary, you never think you are going to feel normal again. Please send her my best wishes, if she or you have any other questions..feel free to PM me..i know WAY too much about that stuff..

Sounds like a UTI, tell her to get to the dr quick or urgent care. She doesn't want it to get into her kidneys.

I tried to call you Dawn....YES....UTI! I used to have them a lot. Tell her to drink all the water she can possibly drink and then a couple gallons more....til you feel like it's gonna come out your ears. At least then there's something to pee out when you go to the bathroom. The dr. at urgent treatment can give her some sulpha drugs which should clear it up right away.

Day 3 of back on the wagon. I think I am finally okay with it now and the crankiness has worn off. I am still on the fence about trying Alli... not sure if it will really be worth the $50.

OY! I agree with everyone else - she DOES NOT want it to get into her kidneys. I had ignored a UTI a few years ago (random- it was actually this time 5 years ago, and during miderms no less) and it moved into my kidneys. I was having hot flashes, and then severe chills - scared the crap out of my boyfriend! I couldn't move the pain was so bad. I ended up going to the ER where they pumped me full wonderful drugs, told me not to got to class for a week (yeah right - and have to take make up midterms?! ) take a few days off of work and not drive for a week. All of that would have been fine and dandy if my grandmother didn't pass away the next day. I practically had to crawl into the funeral home. Please urge your sister to get checked out ASAP. This is something I wouldn't wish on my worse enemy!

UTI's! Yikes sounds painful, Dawn...hope your sister gets it taken care of and is feeling better soon.

I'm about to head off to work soon. Another of my long days but 2 already cancelled because of vacation. Eating is going well so far. The kisses are GONE! So no more temptation. I had a lean pocket, pineapple and water for lunch/breakfast (I eat an early lunch before I head into work) and I have a bag packed with healthy snacks for later on. If I can just make it one day following my points and not overeating, that will make the next day easier which will make the next day easier, etc. That is my goal for this week...stay on track and count my points the rest of the week. It's only 3 days.
