GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Monica....Big  for you! Good daycare is hard to find! You'll be full again soon! I'm sure DH's job is secure. Don't worry! I'll be praying for you.

Nancy....FIVE POUNDS! :yay:

Abish....Just make up your mind to do it! Step away from the food. It's not the answer. I feel so much better now that I made up my mind not to eat when bored....wander to the pantry and sit down with a box of Cheez-its. It's good to have my stomach growl now. I promise I went 4 years and never heard my stomach growl because I was constantly feeding it. I hate exercising but I feel so much better after I do it. YOU"LL SEE! Try it!

Shannon....We've missed you! Glad you're back!

Wendy
....ORANGE DEATH! Bwahahahaha! I actually had a bag yesterday....the 160 calorie bag. But I always feel awful after I eat them...too much sodium?

Everyone else
....:wave2:

Gotta run put up the signs for the neighborhood yard sale today before it gets too light and everyone realizes that I didn't put them up last night. :scared:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

What would YOU do? :scratchin Consider it Breakfast for tomorrow (I do that sometimes!!!). Get on the treadmill for 2 hours? Forget about it and start fresh with breakfast tomorrow and never allow Cheetos or other junk in your house cuz you are a warrior?

Ok, thanks for listening, everyone!
Chug some water to hopefully get rid of that sodum and start over today....if you count it as breakfast and then dont eat anything for actual breakfast you will be hungry all morning, setting yourself up for more bad choices. I like to say, "Acknowledge and move on" You know what you did was a bad choice and you acknowledge it....now time to move on and make some better ones!

I lost my other quotes! Welcome back to peepdom Wonders :goodvibes

I know I've been MIA for a few days. Work has kept me busy, and tired. DSis had her first migraine the other day so I spent a few hours with her and DH thought a nice relaxing dinner would help. He picked Red Lobster for the all you can eat shrimp...........

The following night was my final exam for my pharm class. I finished the class with 100% and now have my tech license!!! One of the other students brought cake and soda but I didnt' ahve either one, I wasn't even tempted and I LOVE frosting. When I told my new boss what my score was, he said I either need to go to pharmisist school or I'm a big nerd. Well....... I haven't ruled out school yet.........

Speaking of school, I was supposd to start school in a few weeks. Based on a suggestion from someone I know, DH did some looking into the school and he found some bad stuff. We decided to give them a chance to rebutt the postings we found on the internet but it was all true. They don't hire teachers, all their instructors are volunteers. Now help me understand this, they want me to take my education seriously and they want an employer to consider a degree that they have given me but I'm not going to be taught by trained teachers??? Um, isn't that part of what I'm paying for, a certified teacher who knows the subject matter and can train and guide me in my studies? The specific info we found was that many of the 'teachers' are former students and some of them aren't even teaching in the area they obtained thier degree. They came to class with no knowledge of the subject area and some hadn't even read the textbook!!!!!!:scared1:  :scared1: There was more but I heard enough at that point. I told them I couldn't attend their school if that was the level commitment they made to their students. I actually stated that my degree wouldn't be worth the paper I use to wipe my :eeyore: I'm not giving up on school, this just wasn't the path I was supposed to take, even though it looked perfect.

I'm going to be helping my DSis look into a business opportunity this weekend. I already love the business and the owners are selling it. I told DSis about it and she got really excited and passionate about the possibility so I'm going to try to help her and maybe she will be able to buy it and she can quit the job she's beginning to hate so much. She'd have more control over her life and schedule so that really made her happy.

I almost forgot the most exciting thing.........DH booked our next trip yesterday. 6 days at CBR for DD#2's 14th b-day! We're looking into several things to make her week more enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to Kara's princess trip!

I've got to run, I have to make my grocery list for the week.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for welcoming me back. For real. I weighed myself this morning and I am up 3 (as you can see in my siggie) from the last time I officially weighed which was about a month ago. Bad but not too bad I guess, considering I probably could have gained 3 lbs a week instead of a month.

Oh and not only am I re-committed to losing weight, I am getting a bug. The Disney bug. I sort of lost it for awhile. I was just so busy and thinking about other things that just thinking of a trip was unheard of. But I woke up feeling ill...the disney blues. I need a fix! Hmmm, I do have a couple weeks before Christmas when school lets out :rolleyes1

Let the planning (and begging to my mom aka disney travel buddy) begin!

Sympathy, dwheatl, on your little visitor. But . . . take it from me - enjoy your pre-hotflash days if you haven't experienced that yet.

Hugs to Sandy, Monica, Sparkie    and anyone else in need.

So, Wisconsin, are you overlapping with any of us while you're at Disney? Only six days away? - WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:grouphug: and a special  to you on the lose of your furbaby!

I'm claiming a 5 pound loss this week - though I've actually been trying to decide whether to count it for several weeks now. It has stayed gone consistently enough to say I've really lost it.

So sorry about your cousin...

Ouch! I'm so sorry, but I'm sure it will turn around for you!

Have a good weekend everybody! :goodvibes

WOOHOOTY!! :cool1: 5# :cheer2:

I'm so happy Shannon! Me too!

Glad to have you back as a full time Peep.

Speaking of thaaaat. I had this nice mild fish with lemon and spray butter and pepper with a little veggies and rice for dinner. I was really satisfied and happy. THEN just now, I ate a BAG OF CHEETOS!!!!! :scared: Let's look at this almost 3 ounce bag's nutrition information together, shall we Peeps?

Oh. it serves THREE. Hugging great. 160 calories x 3 is 480. :headache:

29 grams of FAT. :scared1: Really good thing I'm out of alli or I'd be in big trouble.

And a LONG list of ingredients that I can not pronounce. I think hertofore Cheetos should be named Orange Death!

golly Ms Utah - you are so honest - it makes me feel guilty! I took dd this am (our electronicly connected fire alarm went off at 5:45 am!) the 2nd time it "tested" dd gave up and came awake... then we watched WDW on youtube... and I told her about $100 disney dollars... she's starting to listen w/o screaming about the plane... :rolleyes1

so when she asked for Krispy Kreames, how could I refuse? Yes, I'm addicted to food... doughnuts not so much - but when they give you one for free, HOT and fresh NOW... I couldnt refuse. but it was just the one - pinky swear!

Ok, thanks for listening, everyone!

well since the weather is cool outside (no humidity upper 60's!) I will run 6 miles - will you get on the TM for 6 miles Wendy??

CHALLENGE Y'ALL

You're exactly right about the water - and then some warm lemon water to help gtet rid of the sodium levels!! :thumbsup2

So got some good and bad news........

Good news is I still be going to Peep Meet

Bad News is I'm not so sure about the shirts...

You see my DH:mad: has made a job change due to that fact that the one he just left on Friday doesnt have a health insurance plan we can afford.
So instead of staying there till he found something else he left.

So now Im conserving in case he doesnt find something before we leave, which mostly likely be true because no one will start you with a vacation coming up they'll probably start him after we come back.

So ladies I'm sorry if the shirts dont make it, but I have been doing some side jobs to make sure that it can.

Don't worry about it Aries!! You were very generous to offer them in the first place. I probably would have only worn it once anyway...it wouldn't have fit for long!! ;)

Hey Peeps,

I've come to an epiphany. I want to be a peep again. A real peep not just one that posts about everything except trying to lose weight. I'm sort of kind of in a routine with my internship and school - still stressful, but I'm getting accustomed to it...make sense? I actually have time in my schedule to exercise before work...and technically I don't really have to get up super early to do so either. Another plus for me, a girl who loves her sleep. I'm busy during the day so snacking isn't a huge deal. Plus this time of year just means that the holidays are getting closer which means halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas = lots of food! I want to be getting smaller and not let this time of year sabotage myself. I'm starting Monday which gives me 2 days to think of good for me breakfasts, lunches and snacks. And I'm weighing myself tomorrow so that I can be ready for next weigh in.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm babysitting DNiece and DNephew tomorrow during the day...will probably hang out in the pool. Then, I'm going to squeeze in some relaxing in between writing reports and working on school stuff.

:thumbsup2 welcome back to peepdom shannon!!

woohoo...that disney bug is a tough one to get rid of..the only known cure is a trip...;)

Hi everyone..sorry i was MIA for weigh in yesterday..i have been running around like crazy lately, school started wed. night, my job has been annoying and stressful ( i am having an interview thurs. coming up for a new one..yay!..fingers firmly crossed) and i had the big bash of a wedding last weekend that really messed up my sleep schedule and i am just begining to feel human again!
Alas, i have been pretty good with eating and working out, so hopefully when i do weigh in next friday i will see loverly numbers.
have a great day everyone! :)

Glad you havent already invested all the time and money into them!! :grouphug: on dh job stuff - I will say that for my dh - the only time he ever changes jobs is when they make those "slow down" and cuts - and then he ends up in a better position - so pixiedust: for your dh's next job opportunity!!

Dance and Aries Thank you for letting dd babysit your cutie pootuties!! Today when we watched youtube Disney rides - and we talked about the plane - she didnt YELL at me... so then I talked about the lap blanket and she suggested we go to JoAnn fabrics and pick out a yard of fleece - just in case she ups, it will be on a fleece!! :goodvibes

that's a tip from dd - bring your own lap blankies on the plane - one yard of fleece is just right for a ten yr old!!

Melinda thanks for your dd too!! Just knowing that she may actually have other kids around besides old mom and dad - its helping!!

Yesterday I was devistated. Today I am just mad!:furious:

I've had these kids between 1-2 years each. They all started at about age 1.

One family was having a hard time with work and I dropped their rate so dad could look for work and he could still bring his child here.

Another family had the craziest schedule and I never said no. I took the child at all different times.

The stuff I put up with is just too long to list, but the most important part is, I love those kids. I was looking forward to having them back. I was a big part of their lives. I got them to talk and open up, I potty trained them, I taught them so many things. I celebrated with them. I cried with them. I held them when they were sad and afraid. I made boo boos better.

Everyone wants to do what's best for their child. I aggree. But what if this decision is a mistake? What if that lady sees the 500.00 I gave her for those kids each week and is manipulating having them stay there? I called her. I explained the situation and I asked her if she was willing to help us out. Not steal my business completely.

Dh's job maybe, a small maybe could lead to a relocation. My GF thinks we won't be here in a few months and me not getting those kids is for that reason. I don't know. I just wanted everything to be like it was.

Ok, I'm done with this topic. It's all out.

Tomorrow is Madelyn's christening. I've been cooking for the last few days. Today is cleaning and getting things ready.
I made perogi's, meatballs, baked beans, I will make tonight a ham and tomorrow the mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetables. I ordered chicken and the cake.

After this, I swear I want to start dieting. The stress is going to get to me I just know it.

 Monica - thank you for sharing!! So much is out of our control - that is horrible to feel that she did in fact steal your kids - and of course you love those kids - you did bend over backwards - because it was what was best for those kids!! I dont know what the future holds - but Madelyn is here for a reason for sure!!

Wish I could join you on your special day!!

Just returned home from my anniversary trip to "The World". I was breezing through the posts I missed and saw some impressive numbers! Congrats! And if you're numbers weren't so great this week - there is always next week! That's the great part, you can always begin again.

I'm uncertain about getting near a scale after free dining! Wow, great food. I did actually skip a few desserts and subbed fruit. However, still indulged here and there.

You could certainly tell I had not been exercising! Wow, it never felt like that much walking in the past - especially because I had always been walking or doing some similar type of activity before past trips. However, my new optomistic spirits says this is a great springboard to getting myself moving again! Esp. with my surprise trip for my 14 y/o dd in just . . . . 16 days! Yeah! Gotta keep myself MOVING!

Pamrob, I'm on your page...one thing I always remember (unhappily) from each WDW trip is the WALKING. I have some problems with my feet, so it's always a little challenge. I've read that the average person walks around 6 miles a day while at The World.

To that end I'm trying to "train" for our Feb. trip. That should give me enough time to actually build up the muscles and lose some weight (better for my hips/knees). I probably don't have time to walk 6 miles a day but hey, 2-3 miles is definitely doable. The belief that I'm actually training for something gives me more motivation to keep it up! (Not today, though - I have a wicked cold!).

You know, my body might be a size 16, but my spirit is a size 6!

When we took all our girls last fall we "trained" by walking at least 4-5 times a week for about 2 1/2 miles. It really helped the girls prepare (and the adults too!) so it kept complaints to a minimum. Now I just need to get back on that schedule and have my 14 y/o walk with me without giving away the surprise!

I need to make better shoes choices as well . . but that's a whole other story.

Aries, do NOT worry about it! Best wishes to your hubby on his job situation.

How about if we pick a shirt color for everyone to wear to the meet if they can? Like DIS lime green?! I did this with my four girlfriends in January and it worked pretty well. We had a bit of variation in colors, but the photos were still pretty cute and you could tell we were semi-coordinated.

Hang in there, Mony! The economy here in Michigan sure is crappy. I am hoping the legislature gets busy and passes the State budget soon. The slackers!

I made soooo much food EVERYONE is invited!:rotfl:

Plus my mom's side is great for not showing up. I always have these high hopes that they all will come and always wind up being disappointed. But that's another sob story I won't go into.

Hi All!

It's been a busy day here and I am very proud of myself. I went to exercise class and did 50 min of Turbo Jam and 10 min of Ab work. Oh yeah...that was at 9:00 this morning! I didn't want to go, but talked myself into it. I knew it was for the best. DH & I also went to some garage sales and went food shopping. Stocked the house with "good for me" food! I am trying soo hard to have pretty numbers again next week and to get out of the "9's" in my weight. I hate that I weigh what I did when I delivered my twins 23 years ago! I want to be the person I was before I had them! Is that really too much to ask?? :confused3

I am off to bed. Hope you're having a great night!!

NO PROBLEMO!!!!! We love you to pieces for the thought! Don't worry about it at all!

I usually give little treats to the peeps I meet, well, I can't at all this time! I feel awful because it's been so fun (pixie dust!!!) but I lost the daycare child last month who was my "extra money" or FUN money. This trip will be our Budget Board Trip  I am so thankful we'll be able to go!!!!

Welcome Home!!!! The fruit idea is a good one! Never thought of it!

I like that quote!

6 miles!!! I gained 15 pounds last year in 10 days. I really need to make GREAT food choices this time. Last year I was all, "I'm on vacation! How much damage can I do???"

Moo and Aries- I like the LIME GREEN shirt idea for the meet. It'll make for a great picture!

Guys, I just thought of something. I hope we're not hurting anyone's feelings by talking about the trip on this thread. I don't want anyone to feel unwelcome or sad that they won't be there. Is there still a Peep Meet Thread out there? I need to subscribe to it so it's more handy.

If this is the case, and anyone is feeling a little (or a lot) bummed about all the trip talk here, I apologize!

I've been wondering why our numbers are 1/3 of what they were a few months ago.

This thread can be such a great tool. The support and sense of personal accountability is fabulous. The friendships that have been formed are sooooo wonderful!

p.s. Sandy!!! Speaking of accountability, I did not walk today at all. I've been cleaning my laundry room and sewing area alllllll day!

YAY! That is big progress for her!!! I am excited (to say the least) to have some kiddos for DD to get to hang out with too. Today was the first time she has expressed being sad about leaving DH here at home, but she cheered up when I told her some of the people I send messages to on the computer (she has seen the pics here many a time) will be along for the trip. She was very excited at the prospect of meeting new friends :goodvibes

I feel for you! I know that mad feeling you are having too well. Try to remember all the stuff you put up with along the way. There is always bad with the good, Of course you love them and will miss them, or you wouldnt be so good at what you do....but things happen for a reason. You just arent sure what the reason is just yet for all this. :grouphug:

And I hope you have a great day tomorrow with the Christening!

Dont worry about it at all! I cant believe you were going to do it in the first place. You have been doing so much already to organize everything.

I second the vote to wear LIME if we dont get shirts....we can all find some lime, right? Maybe we can make buttons or something?
