DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Hi all~

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. It was kinda quiet at my house after all the gifts were opened. The kids got a lot of video games and movies. I gave tehm a few things for our trip in May just to keep them focused and excited.

I've been so busy with life, I don't get to pop in here as much as I used to. It really sucks that 10 hours of my day are taken up by work. I can't DIS at work because we're not allowed to use the internet, not even on our lunch break.

I saw a few posts that listed Jan 1 or 2 as a recommit date for all of us still struggling. Don't write off the last few days of the year though! Use that time to make a plan. Check your cupboards and pantries for all the unhealthy things you've allowed into your home. Get them out of your house. Plan healthy meals and snacks and go shopping. Make a menu in advance and have a list of what you need. Write down your exercise goals and how you are going to achieve them. And above all else, share them with us!! Not only will it help keep you motivated and acountable, you may inspire someone else.

As much as I'd love to stay and catch up some more, I have 2 sick kitties that need me.

Morning. It's Friday. Time to weigh in. This is not going to be pretty.
This will be my starting point. Going through my cupboards, taking inventory, and making lists are all what I need to get going.

UM: When I was in WW many moons ago, they had us do visuals of exactly what you did to our favorite foods. You are very strong. You beat the urge. Good job!

Dawn: The spa sounded like a riot. Can't wait to read and see all about it!

Pakey: donate the candy somewhere. Hurry! Run! Freecycle it! Pecan Pie, well I have to draw the line somewhere. Eat it and don't tell no one.

Winkers: I feel doughy. Pillsburyish. I think, well I know it's time to just start exercising. I'm getting on this bad boy treadmill. I will tone with soup cans if I have to. I just need to get moving. I will even do Bella Bella Bella Dancerella with my daughter to just get off my buttom.

I didn't weigh in this week... I'm going to give myself some time to get over the Christmas bloat and start back next week. I can gaurantee that I've gained 2 or 3 lbs... :sad2: Oh well... this too shall pass (pun intended....).

by the way, do you know how to figure square footage? we didn't know how many square feet we had in the master bathroom and we guessed that 48 square feet would be enough....apparently not!

it's an odd shape. so it's kinda hard to figure out. ray's done with everything but the tiny room with the toilet in it, which will be the hardest part. thanks for the info.....we're doing the guest bathroom next to i can apply this knowledge then!

Dawn -- If you ever have another "strange" shape room, just draw a picture of the layout and mark the measurements of each of the walls. Then send it to me and I'll figure it out for you (might be a bit off depending on angles and such, but I can get pretty close).... I love a good geometry problem!! :yay:

I'm not weighining in this week..I tortured myself yesterday with the scale and my 10 pounds weigh gain!:scared1: ...I will let everyone know how it goes next Friday!!...Im off to the gym 2...havent been there in awhile cuz I have been embarrassed about the weight I have gained (everyone at the gym I go to is in GREAT SHAPE) but if I dont suck it up and go now it will only get worse...lets hope i get through the spin class

I am with MJ today and am refusing to weigh-in. I know I will just torture myself with the number and who needs that before the weekend. I hope everyone is doing well. I am surprisingly busy at work. I guess because there are so few of us that actually decided to come in this week.

I am in for the Valentine's Day challenge and will begin on January 1. My goal is to lose 10lbs which equates to about 2 a week...completely doable. I am going to reevaluate my weekly goals and list them here for accountability.

I wntd to take a moment to say thank you to everyone on this thread. I am still newish to the DIS and am floored by all of the wonderful people I have found here. I look forward to reading your posts everyday and count on them to keep me on track. You gals and guys are the best!!
 
My Valentine's Day goal is 5 lbs. Not that I think I can only lose 5 in 6 weeks but because I will be going out of town the week before and it may take me a bit to get back into the whole healthy routine.

I did weigh this week. I gained a bit back over Christmas but I'm motivated to tame this beast. I counted points yesterday and am putting together my menu for next week.

Kitties are feeling better. The one I was most worried about has perked up and is eating again. The vet thinks it's just a bit of a tummy bug but even so, it's worrysome to find your kitty just lying around.

I'm going to try to work on making a bit more money this morning. I have to do some writing and videos to boost my savings account. TTYL!
 
It's not a bad excuse, it's logical. I would love to lose 80 pounds. I need to lose 60, and the last 20 would probably be my struggle. But I'm telling you this cause the first 60-80 we can do together.

BTW, how do you know the difference between a cold and allergies? I have been sneezing off and on since Friday. My nose is running, and it is clear. I don't have time to get sick. DD and I leave two weeks from yesterday for Disney. We run our 5K on Jan. 11th. We HAVE to be healthy for this. Please help me Peeps!

I'm thinking allergies. Usually I start like that with a cold and allergies but the cold doesn't go on and off. Try some allergy medicine every day and see how that works. Feel better.:)

Help!!!! I've become a marshmellow peep!! Seriously!I quit my jazzercise membership in september because I hadn't used it in months and I hated paying for something I didn't use. Well now I NEED to do something! I have absolutely no willpower, so walking by myself just won't happen. I need to either rejoin jazzercise or a gym. But now that I feel so fat and icky I really don't want to be seen in public excercising. It would be distracting to everyone else in the room!:) So here I sit on my couch with a horrible cold thinking I have to do something. If only I could stand up without feeling dizzy!

Winkers - don't feel bad, I am the biggest/heaviest at my gym. Everytime I go there I see it but I don't care anymore because I'm there doing what I have to do for me not for those other people in the gym. I go to a woman's gym because I don't want guys seeing me in my sweatpants and T-shirt walking on the treadmill but we can do it. Get better first, then work on the exercise.

I joined weight watchers online today so I guess its a start.Im trying not to beat myself up that much over it, just trying to look forward. Count me in on the friday weigh ins. Weekly weigh ins def work, im a perfect example of how when you dont weigh yourself once a week the weight just comes right back on.So my goal is to lose 25 pounds by my Disney trip on May 14th..and 30 pounds by my wedding September 27, 2008.

Hi there. I do weight watchers too. I joined back in Feb or March and have only lost 7 lb. I was up to 18 lb and I ate my way back to only 7. I am going to lose 80 lb this next year. That's my goal. I'm fed up with myself too.

I'm not weighing in this week either, #1 I don't own a scale and #2 my WW meeting is on Tuesday and those are both holidays. I am going to gym tomorrow morning though and on Monday morning. DH is home.


Well peeps. I am going to my cousin's house today, we leave around 11:15, she has such yummy stuff to eat there. It's going to be hard to resist. I will let you know what was there and what I ate. Have a good day everyone.

EEEEK! I'm not weighing today either. Ok, no, I did weigh myself, but the number is SO bad it is now considered my BEFORE weight...and it's 5 lbs more than last year's before weight! :scared: Now I have a point of reference. I also need a reasonable goal.

Which is coming OFF my carcass soonly.

I'm geared up. I've got my lower carb grocery list being made. On my grocery list is a notebook to blog in. I need to make a chart (like a ticker?) to serve as a visual. I want to be next years' Punkin or WIDF who are both my heros :love:

Oh ya, I'm hereby making THIS my first stop every day, I PROMISE!!!!! Funny how my weight snuck up when I neglected this thread! :teacher:

What are the rules for the Valentine's Day Challenge?

I'm going to have to stop playing around and get back on track! I'd just rather sit at the computer all day and chat!!

I have a little over a year before my first born gets married. and everyone around me is a healthy weight! so knock me in the head, and make me remember I am worthy. I am.

I also have not weighed in - I thought I was 10# overr my start weight on the thread.

Dr Oz is a good place to start - his simple exercises are online and on a video. Walk Away the Pounds is also a good dvd to invest in - no equipment needed!

Forgot who posted they were dizzy - get chromium picolinate - it truly helps to stabilize the blood sugar - which is a cause of my dizziness - but when that doesnt work, go to the doctor - I now have a vertigo called menier's disease (I get dizzy all the time - really annoying!! its technically I have loose rocks in my head!! :rotfl2: which dd finds hilarious, I would too if I didnt get dizzy so often!)

THIRTEEN DAYS TILL THE WDW HALF TRIP!! :faint:

There is a blizzard going on outside... I am NOT running in that mess (only I run like Punkin - walk, then wog/jog,walk... the couch to 5K plan is really all over that - its easy and rewarding!!)

I downloaded more itunes for my ipod - I now have a running one for 2 hours!! Much too much country for most people, but I love The Judds... Girls night out, Rockin to the Rhythm of the Rain, and "why not me?" I just raise my hands to the Heavens and say "GOD, why not me?" Just do it!!
 
Morning all.

Like Wendy, I threw the Snickers bars in the garbage (I'd been hoarding them in my desk drawer) and told DH he had to either toss the See's candy or take it to his business.

No weigh in for me today either. I did weigh but I'm not saying it out loud and then maybe it's not real.

My Valentines challenge is going to be 8 lbs, even with the WDW trip in 2 weeks. Let's see if I can motivate myself.

Does laughing burn calories. If so, I did my share last night reading that embarrassing moments thread. Danielle, you topped my list. Your cable guy story was so funny that I actually had to lay my head down for awhile because I got dizzy. Then on the way to work this morning I saw a Direct TV van and it started all over again. You are my hero. :rotfl:

So, biggie challenge I'm faced with in a few hours. Taking Norah to go see Enchanted (again) and I've never gone to the movies without buying popcorn with extra butter flavored oily stuff. AOOHHH!

Instead of whining or feeling sorry for myself, I'm attempting to talk myself through this. I'll get some mixed nuts just in case I get hungry for something crunchy and salty. I'll get myself a lovely diet beverage at the snack bar/concessions stand. And enjoy the movie guilt free!!!!!

I am not going to play in the challenge because I've doomed myself the last 2 challenges. DOH!

Wendy, I pop one of those pop-secret 100 calorie bags at home and sneak it in in my purse. It's not the same but it's better than the theater stuff and I believe in most states it's against the law to go to a movie and not eat popcorn.

BTW--I finished the 3rd vampire book and now I'm like the rest of the fanatics and have to wait impatiently for the 4th one. It's all my cousin and I talked about on Christmas Eve when we got together.

okay i just jumped on the scale and suprisingly i am down 2 pds putting me at a grand total of ......195 Whooo hooo i have maintained my below 200 weight for 6 wks now , i can see it and feel it . (But unfortuanately it is due to the pain i have in my mouth from my stupid teeth) :sad1:because i can not eat all the junk food like popcorn, chocolate, ect ..

OK, you dumpers inspired me. I just poured the last of my greasy stuffing into the cake box with the burnt almond cake, and walked it out to the garbage can. I know I'm the only one who would eat either of those, so good riddance. I still have pecan pie and vegan stuffing to deal with, but DS and DH will both help with the stuffing, and DH will help with the pie. I'm going to get on the exercycle now. We'll be leaving for Monterey after lunch. How does a cup of veggie juice and a slice of pecan pie sound for lunch? Balanced, right?:confused3
