WAY TO GO ON THE CHALLENGE, EVERYONE!
I counted calories to lose weight. Here's the calorie counting formula that I used in case anyone is interested......
12 (calories) X Goal Weight=Number of calories you should eat per day.
For example 12 calories X a goal weight of 150 = 1800 calories per day. IMHO counting calories is just science and cannot fail if you are writing down everything you eat/drink that has caloric content. If you find that that amount of calories is too little for you then you have two options....weigh more or exercise more. If you are trying to lose a lot of weight, say 100 pounds or more, start with an intermediate goal of 25 or 50.
Even if you're not sure about counting calories, write down everything you eat in the course of a day. You may be surprised at the total!
