You GO girl! :yay:

I've been on my gazelle a couple of times in the last week or so... is it just me, or do you not really feel like you're working? If I AM working, but don't feel like it... well, that is good. But, I don't want to be wasting my time... then again... since I just do the gazelle while I'm watching tv, guess it would HAVE to be better for me than sitting in the chair. :happytv:

Moving is better than sittin!!!

Way to go on the gym! Ouch! The guy sounded great... at first. Luckily, Jay-the-hunky-trainer-dude has a good handshake. Hey, maybe he's broken a few fingers before, so he shakes "gently". ;)

Naw - it was a sissy half shake , more like a limp finger-only shake - (that sounded dirty didnt it);)

Tonight, Jay suggested I get out more... go out with some friends or the two girls who invited me out "for a beer" last week (we're all Jay's girls)... or even  go on a date. Then he asked how long since I've been on one... ouch. Bad enough to admit it here... but to actually say it out loud.:scared: Well, at least now he knows my REAL long term goal (not that silly/safe one I put on the paperwork).:rolleyes1

dene - I think Jay-the-hunky-trainer is just trying to get you to focus on new things,(not just gym life) keep you motivated to continue with the new lifestyle you've adopted...if you dont find something to spice things up you might get bored with the routine...I agree with him! Get out and find something fun to do, laugh and make new friends...you are worth it!!! I think the dates will come in time as you get out and meet people - it will all happen naturally:thumbsup2

Did you tell him we want his picture for motivation....OOooo tell him we are having a contest for Bestest Trainer and you want to enter him -- prize? he gets his name posted all over the thread,

My totals for today...

B: yogurt smoothie, about half my oatmeal (I accidentally got too much water in it!) (170)
S: 1/4 cup honey dipped almonds (160)
L: 1/2 Quesadilla Explosion salad (725)
S: 1/4 cup honey dipped almonds (160)
D: gardenburger w/ ff sharp cheddar and swiss cheese on whole wheat bun (240) black bean tortilla chips w/ peach mango salsa (165) 5 strawberries & about 15 grapes (75)

TOTAL: 1695 calories & 64 oz. water

Ugh! Didn't do my exercise! :headache: I got an ipod yesterday as part of our V-Day celebration, and I have been importing songs all night long! Bad Lynda! I will be back on track tomorrow with the exercise! I promise!

The music helps me work harder, you are forgiven for your preparation

First of all I want to say thanks fore putting so much thought into this for me.I am making an appointment when the kids go back to school with his teacher to see what she thinks. She has never taught this grade and has admitted not really knowing yet what to expect from the kids.My DH has said that his brother had some of the same problems in school so I am going to ask him tomorrow about it.
He is in third grade with a september birthday so he is one of the oldest in his class. He has trouble with telling time but I will have to ask him some questions to be able to tell about the rest of your questions.
Thanks again for taking the time to talk this out with me.I may be overreacting but my DH is also worried and that doesn't happen often.

You are not overreacting, you are doing the right thing...he is so selfconcious about things, this might be the intervention he needs...just might have to be discreet about how you explain it to him I'm thinkin

Talk about making you drool---Ranger and Morelli. I need to go to the library to see what I can find.

 You are your childs first advocate. No one will fight for him like a mom. :thumbsup2

I'd love Ranger or Morelli to shake me up , uh shake my hand;) , how bout how they always leave her hanging and just walk away....I'm kinda like Lula, I'd faint dead away

Good Morning Peeps !
:welcome: WI Disney guy :welcome: , you will love it here ! This is the GREATEST support group around. I am also a WW lifetime member and am only 4 pounds away from my goal !!!! Ya !, I love WW and I know that you and the MRS will have tons of success.

Wendy: I just read your pretrip report, you seriously should think about writing a book ! You have a natural gift. Your witty and amusing style reminds me of Sophie Kinsella. I am reading "Shopaholic and Baby" right now and I just LOVE it.
I will be covering my laptop in clingwrap in anticipation for your completed TP. :rotfl2:

Well... not much else new from Canada except that it is COLD !!!! I can't wait for spring. DH is off to Myrtle Beach today on buisness and then a few days of golf. Boy...am I a nice wife or what ! I kinda pushed him to stay in MB for a few extra days as I do Mom's weekend a few time a year. I just booked 2 days in New York in April with 3 girlfriends (I do this every spring) so I thought that darling DH should get away with his "guys" for once.

DH picked me up some Cherry wally world fake crystal light... do you peeps drink it full strength or dilute it with extra water ???? I found it kinda stong and I feel I need to add double the reconmended water.

Well...I am off the work in the library at DS's school....Have a SUPER SKINNY DAY !

Love ya all
Kim

;) Good Morning Everyone!

:welcome: WI_DisneyFan

I just finally caught up on my reading. I wasn't on here for a couple of days and when I did make it back, I was behind nearly 10 pages. WOW. Any way, I'm not going to try and comment on all of the posts because I really need to get a book read for psychology.

UtahMama, your pre-trip report is awesome. Can't wait for the rest.

Boy o boy, wasn't that hair thread exciting? popcorn:: I thought of popping some popcorn and then sitting back for the grand finale until I realized the thread was closed.;) Just kidding. I couldn't anyway because DH destroyed (as in burned it black) the last bag of popcorn while we were watching the Daytona 500.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I'm going to try to reply to as many of these as I can.

Welcome!!!!!
Weigh days are Friday mornings. Some of the other WW peeps weigh different days but still post on fridays, if thats ok with you.

You've come to the right place :grouphug: !!!!!!!
This actually works perfectly for me. My weigh in day is already Friday. I figured if I was going to splurge a bit, it would be on the weekend. So this way, my weigh-in weight will reflect a week of good eating, and not a day of bad eating.

:welcome: We are thrilled to have another guy! It is good for us to have a male perspective. Of course we do expect you to be honest and tell us we would look great in any swimsuit!! :lmao: Maybe your wife would like to join us too.

...

The only problem I am having is trying to feed my picky family! There are many recipes on this WW site that sound great, but I know I am the only one who would eat it. I am just too busy to try and fix several meals per night. I have done that a lot lately and it results in like 3 hours of staying in the kitchen! I already spend an hour every morning fixing all the different breakfasts and lunches! They complain because they are tired of chicken and hamburger patties, but they don't eat much else! Vent over.
Yeah, we've got that same problem. My wife and I both like different things, so it is a challenge to find meals that we both like. So when we find something that we both like, we'll eat it every week until we are sick of it. And a lot of times we'll resort to our "go-to" meals, like bagel pizzas or pasta. I can't imagine what it'll be like when we have kids and have to please more than just the two of us.

:welcome: WI Dis Fan. Thanks for sharing your story. Right there with you on the speedo thing. 2 WDW trips ago, there was a guy in speedos in front of me in line at Typhoon Lagoon. He had shaved his legs, but not on the last two inches below the speedos. It was :scared: .
I know what you mean. We were at a water park a few years ago, and somebody was wearing speedos. But he didn't shave at all, and had very hairy legs because of it. Although honestly, I would rather see that than the 1/2 shaved look the guy in your story was going for.

I'm Sandy, mom to 3 gorgeous angels, 2 of which spent time on an ice rink in Sheboygan - ten years ago!!
That would probably be the Blue Line Ice Center. Except for a home show that was held there, I've never stepped foot in the place. I figure if I try to skate, I'll spend a lot more time on my back than I would upright.

Welcome!! It's great to have another guy around! Just to warn you we do sometimes discuss, women's "issues" :teeth: And things like pooh muffins and colon blows, but then doesn't everyone?:thumbsup2

Nope not the only fella, :) Welcome to the Peeps....things you need to know
WWPD means what would a Peep Do? and it is used for inspiration...menarputz is a syndrome that you males are known to possess from time to time...(except Grumpy:flower3: ) we'll let you know if you fall into it;) You can feel free to answer honestly any question presented here, dont be offended when we talk about :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc or :crowded: or pooh: or Aunt Flo(TOM) and if you dont know what that is you will soon see;)
and dont be offended when Fidge send out her Fireman to rescue those of us who need help after falling off the wagon...I need to be rescued alot:rolleyes1
I'll try to keep all of that in mind. And don't worry, I am very good at skimming past the things that don't interest me or pertain to me at all. So no worries there.

:welcome: WI!!! What should we call you? DisneyFan or WI (like Wii?)? You'll love it here. Accountability is a great thing and all the peeps are VERY supportive! Enjoy!
You can call me anything you want, just don't call me late for dinner! (Sorry, that is a corny joke my dad used to say all the time. I just couldn't resist.)

Lynda I feel another poll coming on - a what's in your ipod poll!! I've yet to upload all my musicals/showtunes!! I have cd's for Somewhere in Time, Meet Me in St Louis, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Mary Poppins, and a few others - but it does take time, I also like to sort out my favs, not just upload!! I also have $30 to spend over at itunes!! I have a list...

Oh, good one Sandy!!! Let's see...so far I have NOT eliminated specific songs from albums that I don't need, but I plan to do that too. I just need to listen, and I couldn't do that last night. I loaded some No Doubt (my fave! :)), Gwen Stefani (like her better with No Doubt than I do solo, but I still like her solo), Barenaked Ladies (another fave), Tom Petty (also a fave), Maroon 5, Van Morrison, Dixie Chicks, Grease soundtrack, Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson, Black Eyed Peas,...that might be all. I have TONS of CDs to go through! And I haven't even started on the Disney music yet! (I may need a separate ipod JUST for Disney music!:scared1: ) I want to do playlists too, and last night I was struggling for a bit, trying to figure out what I was doing. Once I did, it started moving faster, but I have a LOT more to do! I still have Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, more Petty, Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, John Mellencamp, Jimmy Buffett, I could go on and on. Oh, and I definitely want to buy a few songs from iTunes!

MHL btdt - it does help to look up the points - and I'll bet every bite was was delish... hate when these pounds take months to get off, but seconds to jump right back on - waz up with that?!! Did you find your TM?? I also love your cart!! I really think I'm going to try and do the DreamScrapbook Indy event in June!!

I'd love to to the scrapbook weekend. There are several places around here that offer them. If the Dreamscrap doesn't work out, my Creative memories person has 2 weekends a year where she does teh big hotel, stay up all night, have dinner while your working thing. She just had one the weekend after I got home from WDW and the next one is generally in the fall.

I don't know if I will be able to do the Dream weekend. We get back from WDW on the 27th of May, and I have the Gwen Stefani concert over in Indy on June 2nd, so doing something the next weekend is probably not a good idea. I would love it though! Now, something in the fall sounds very interesting! ;)

The music helps me work harder, you are forgiven for your preparation

Thank you! I appreciate that it is recognized as preparation! I am excited about it!

pigget and MHL - Hope those headaches are better!

.but it was ruined when he shook my hand with a lip noodle grasp....I mean come on...if you are gonna be a studly dude, dont ruin it with a sissy grip...man up and shake hands with a little Tfortitude I mean I am a girl (SHOCK & HORROR I KNOW) and I have a more firm handshake....sheesh:confused:

OOhhh, I hate the limp fish handshake! There are a couple of men at church who are like that and it drives me nuts! If you're going to shake my hand, then grab on and shake it! Ok, that's one of my pet peeves! I'll step off my soap box now!!

BACK FROM THE DOCTOR........AGAIN.

I took DS to pediatrician just prior to his and DD13 orthopedist appt. because I thought he had a sinus infection like DD17. Well....he tested positive for strep so they swabbed DD13 just in case and she tested positive too!!! .....which is bad because they are both sick but good because she can babysit while I'm at work. Neither one can go to school today or tomorrow. (and they are just coming off a Friday/Monday 4-day weekend for pres. day!)

Then we proceeded directly to orthopedist. DS FINALLY got the cast off and will be in a brace for the next month. DD13 has a hair-line crack in the wrist so he left her in the brace and she will be x-rayed for the third time in two more weeks.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Hello Everyone! I haven't been on her since Thursday (for one reason or another...) but I have missed you all very much and just wanted to say hello. I am home from work today sick...I ate too much pizza for dinner and as a reward, I spent the rest of the night in the bath room throwing up. I am pretty sure at this point that it is a virus and not the pizza...but hopefully it will make me think twice before I eat that much pizza the next time!

Good news though...I was down 1.4 lbs this morning! Hey, I'll take it where I can get it, ok!

Don't worry, Harley and Dismom...I will be at Kick tonight...I wouldn't miss it for anything!

Love to everyone who needs it! I am going to go back and read the last 20 or so pages now!

LYSOL needs to be your friend :rotfl: Sorry that they are sick. Hopefully they will mend quick. Glad that DS got his cast off---from all the xrays you could have bought your own machine---at least I feel like that at times. Have a good one.

Popping in for a second. Have had a killer migraine since last night. You know, the kind that makes you throw up everytime you move your head! I just got back from urgent care. They gave me a shot of phenegrin and staydol. Great suff, but I feel dizzy and drunk. I think I am going to bed. I will catchi up later.. I ahve to keep correcting everything.

I wouldn't mind trying one, but I still exceed the weight limit  You'd think they'd make them for those of us who are heavier and need a way to do low impact exercises.

I just recently got below the limit, so I totally know what you mean.

[Dene sounds like Jay is a therapist too!! Stay committed, one day at a time!! I'm thinking now that the weather is hitting above freezing, maybe, just maybe I can take a walk... outside!!

Trainer, therapist, inspiration... he does it all.

Speaking of weather... last week it was 14... right now it is 73! :woohoo:

Yep, he's just trying to help me :flower3:... as for TELLING him about posting his pic... well, he ALREADY makes fun of me for my "imaginary friends on the Internet" :lmao:

I've forgotten what happened to your dd's wrist? I remember arm pit fart boy!;) My son was doing the same move a few days ago and whacked his elbow hard on the table. It was swollen and bruised, so I had to share your sons story with him. He was so embarassed he didn't want me to tell his teacher why his arm was sore!:rotfl: I have 2 sicko's home today. Both with mild fevers and tummy aches. Oh the joy!

I hate stadol!! Makes me say stupid things, and I feel like I have no control over my body! But when I have migraines that's what they give me too. Anyway, get some rest!!

Stacey - Get you some rest (which it sounds the drugs will take care of that;) ) and I hope you feel better soon. Said in my softest whispering voice. :ssst: ;)

Happy Shrove tuesday Don't eat too many pancakes  Do you guys celebrate this as no-one has mentioned it?

Melinda, sorry about the kids health they seem to be in the wars all the time at the mo.
WI_Disneyfan, Welcome we're a great bunch of peeps, has some one said about writing your bio telling us all about you with a photo?

Never heard of Shrove Tuesday. :confused3 What is it? I just finished reading Spongie's report too. Sounds like a lot of fun. Good job on the apple. I just got into the box of cookies that I bought from the Green Goblins. ;) :headache: :scared:

I cannot stand stadol--don't like feeling not in control. I usuallygive myself an immitrex shot, but being preggo I can't. I also would take fioricet, but now I can't. They put me on darvacet yesterday--which I do not like taking because of the side effects--makes me very tired. The fioricet did not make me tired at all and I was still able to function for my job and family. I have had migraines since I was 8 years old. Ihad been doing great until after Katrina and then they were so bad--2 and 3 a week or one would alst for weeks. Get some rest.

From the BBC - Shrove Tuesday is the day before Lent starts: the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. It's a day of penitence, to clean the soul, and a day of celebration as the last chance to feast before Lent begins.

Shrove Tuesday is sometimes called Pancake Day after the fried batter recipe traditionally eaten on this day.
I can't believe you don't have it, it's all about using up all the nice foods before Lent starts (you have that right?) It's Ash Wednesday tomorrow (do you have that?) and we go to church where the palm crosses from last year have been burnt and we write down our sins which also get burnt you then get a nice black sooty mark on your forehead to show your penitence! I'm actually going twice tomorrow as DD's go to a CofE school so I'm going to their service in church then the girls are singing in the choir for the evening service so my forehead will need a good wash tomorrow night. :rotfl2:

Oh BTW I just undid the apple as I had 2 lovely jam and cream cookies, but they were from marks and spencer (you must of heard of that UK shop) so were delicious and I stopped at 2 so that's good yeah. :thumbsup2

Here it is Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday. Not a big deal where I live, but in some places in the U.S., especially New Orleans, Louisiana, it is a HUGE PARTY!
