I usually plan such meals for thursdays. Like, Colonblows with a side order of broccoli and a pooh muffin for dessert.

I'll be so light, I'll float to the scale :rotfl:


I'm feeling a cold or something comeing on. My neck is stiff. I'm sort of achey and my cheeks are pink. Not much of an appetite either, CALL 911!!!! ;)

So I'm oDing on airborn and my vitamins and WATER (just plain water)
I must be sick or BOB brain washed me!

I ALMOST made it with the no eating 2 hours before bed, but my stomach was full on growling lat night so I had not one, but TWO pieces of toast. I decided that is my arch nemesis...late night sumpin-sumpin! popcorn::

So at 7:00 I will eat my saved snacks! Wonder if that'll work!

I have eaten Kashi hot cereal for b-fast with raisins

for lunch I had a huge green salad with a grilled chicken breast with spray dressing (FULL)

for snack I had a key lime thingy from WW semi frozen (BTS= Better Than S_ _)

What are some of your (the collective your) major diet killers?????

What can we do as a group to solve those bad habbits???

My diet killer is anything sweet and crunchy !!! What I eat instead is....dry special K vanilla almond cereal. Its pretty good for satisfing my cravings.

I also do what Melinda does. If I have a craving...I have a glass of water :drinking1 before I eat anything...sometimes the craving just goes away.

I LOVE the Cadbury "thins" chocolate bars. (one bar is only 100 calories...or 2 WW points) This is my favorite "skinny treat" :cool1:
 
Morning Peeps! I have to confess, I've been sick for the last three days and haven't been able to catch up on the thread. What did I miss? Anything going on I need to know?!

Well, the bad news is my sinus infection erupted, I added strep throat to it, AND I may have had the flu. :sick: The good news is... I lost 2 pounds in the process! :rotfl: Amazing how many calories you can burn through a fever and constant sneezing.

Hope you get to feeling better soon. If you want a funny story, read what happened to me yesterday. It is on page 257 at the top. Word of caution, do not read while drinking or your computer could be at risk.;)

Thanks! I'm at 167 lbs. right now, the points go down when I get below 150 right? I didn't know they had a slider for exercise, I do so many different types of exercise it would be great to have that if you have an extra. Although my most frequent is kickboxing for an hour or an elliptical or treadmill for 20-30 mins. Are those hard to look up?

Christy, I am right there with you. I'll be really excited when I get down to 150, but have a ways to go after that. If it helps, it looks like were at the same spot. Yes your points go down after 150. I can help you if you haven't gotten any, but it sounds like several peeps have given you info. On a side note, they said on the news last night that Mike (your DH's cousin - I think) was interviewing for the Miami Dolphins coaching position. That would be ironic since that is where our new AL coach came from.

UM, hope you get to feeling better. Sorry you aren't feeling well. :sick: I went to bed with the grumbly tummy too. I figure it was better to go to sleep than to eat. I just visualize my stomach munchin' on that extra fat while I sleep.:rotfl:

My weakness is quick snacks when the kids get home. It seems like I am starving and I want something quick. So, I will grab some fruit snacks, cookies, chips, etc. Today, I ate 2 WW snack cakes. It helped curb my appetite. I also struggle at bedtime.

My downfall is Life UtwendyMama - seriously... lets get together for lunch, you need to go to the girlfriend connection for the weekend, your parents are coming to town for the weekend... So far I've made it 2 weeks with NO fast food!! HUGE... I'd go at least 5 times a week (lunch or dinner, sometimes breakfast, I love Egg McMuffins!!)

I know I need food to sustain life, and if I'm going to sustain LIFE< I want sgetti, pizza, chocolate, wine, Cosmo, nachos, Warm Comfort food - beef borgionne, stews, roasts, baked potatoes... well, I could go on...

another major downfall - CHEESE!! I just bought the skinny cow cheese!! and the wasa crackers of Oprahs...
 

Where in the store do you find flax seed???
At my Kroger, it's in the health food aisle. Be sure to get the flax seed meal. Once you open, keep it stored in the freezer. Not only is it full of omega-3, it also contains lignans which are beneficial for women because the body turns them into a hormone-like substance. Here is the low down on flax seed.

And some of them (like this one) look pretty darn good OUT of uniform. :banana:

The smell can be bad with her though.She has horrible gas(and has up to ten BMs a day) and she is not discreet at all.She will do it in a store and look at anyone around her,usually a stanger,and say "sorry!I pooted.:goodvibes "

I'm so confused about the when to eat/when not to eat thing. :confused3 On one hand, never eating before bed makes sense. On the other hand, eating a little snack before bed if you are REALLY hungry makes sense, too. Will not eating when I'm hungry make my body say "hey, she's on a diet AGAIN... food is in short supply, better save some for later"? Will eating something, particularly protein, after exercise make my body say "yeah, we're exercising more but we're getting food so it is okay to burn everything... save nothing for later"?

As far as my downfalls... stress eating, boredom, and flava.
1. Stress eating... I'm trying to do my relaxation things like stretching, watching "funny" stuff, petting my dogs, and exercising after a day in the trenches.
2. Boredom... trying to find something to do instead of eating. The peeps help with this (and the laughter). Today was a snow day and I got bored so I walked to my parents' house... it usually takes me 15 minutes but I went the LOOOONG way circling through the beautiful snow covered park. Took me 65 minutes to get there, I was there an hour, and then it took me 75 minutes to get home.
3. Flava... I like the taste of fatty foods because it adds flavor. I've been buying new spices and seasonings... spicy/hot flava works as a substitution for the fat.

hmmmm, my biggest temptation is..........food! Today I'm in major pms mood so I'm dying for chocolate. So I'm being good and eating chocolate quaker rice cakes. They taste like coco krispies without the milk. Is it still being good if I eat the whole bag? I love sweet and crunchy things. About 2 years ago I dropped 20lbs and alot of that was from not eating after dinner. So I'm back on that, but sometimes it's so hard not to grab a snack or popcorn while I watch tv. Oh, I do allow myself one day a week to "cheat" on my rule. Usually date night or if I go scrapbooking with friends. I'm also an emotional eater espeacially when I'm depressed or bored.

That's why I'd rather count calories....if I want 200 calories to be chocolate every day....then I'll have it.

Snickers Mini....44 calories
Hershey Kiss Special Dark....20 calories
Dove dark....40 calories
Heath mini...42 calories

One or two of any of these are better than any fake chocolate I can think of. ;)

I'm always INSULTED by cheap chocolate or worse, FAKE chocolate flavored stuff. I'm such a chocolate snob. :snooty:



It is an antioxidant. Practically HEALTH FOOD! :teacher:

They are like crack to me! I cannot get enough and I cannot resist them.
I would look like a model (well, maybe not THAT good, but really skinny!) if there were no such thing as McDonald's or Wendy's crack fries.
It's useless to try and resist...I just get cranky. :sad2:

Good evening ladies and hers my poop for today....without colon BLow! I spoke to DH about what I am trying to do. It has been so hard to sit watching a movie or anything while he snacks on all my favoirtes. I ususllay get up and come down here and chat with all of you.

I have not exercised this week I can hand you a ton of BS about why and none of it would be true. I havbe beeen so discouraged I was so happy when I noticed the scale said its a total of 10 since I started this. That was Monday night. I told DH and he said good for me in a pasising comment like hand me the remote. My Dad called and asked how it was going and I told him to which he said oh honey so sorry only 10 maybe I should start running or something! I could have screamed only 10!!!!! WHAT?????

My Dad served in the military and yes I know how to do the pushup correctly since I was a wee one and he told me God bless him he has no idea but his weight just melts right off!! He started to take the bottom half of his burgers off and he has lost 15 lbs in the past month by doing that!!! WHAT??????????????

OMG I eat tasteless morsels drink water exercie and I get 10 ok enough of my whinning!

Well I told DH it wouldn't hurt things if he said something a bit kind I know its not his job to encourage me but heck I am supportive of everyone around here it wouldn't kill him to throw some empty compliment my way! OK here was his response...sorry honey I didn't notice! I still look the same! Of course I do!!!

Anyway,next time I am feeling the need to keep moving towards my goal rather than sit in a nice warm BIg bowl of Poo I will come on here and read all the great things that got me motivated again!

My downfall...............late night binging! After everyone is in bed and after I review my day and go right to what I should have done instead of what I did get done. I stuff it with something late at night. OK this I am working on!!

Oh and I still drink way too much tea each day I use equal but I am fillibng 20 oz cups with tea and they are light I use whole milk in it I hate skim in my tea.
I lvoe that warm feeling I get and will post tomorow the thing I heard this am on John Tesh about eatting warm things and drinking them too! I need to hear it again it was me all over it!

BTW who has my fireman guy, I think I see sparks in the garbage......HURRY send him back!
 
Drinking so much water makes my hands crack...

I'm drinking a LOT of water... so I go to the restroom a lot... so I wash my hands a lot... it is colder than normal here so the water is very cold... cold water makes my hands chap and crack :guilty:

Today (after three fingers on one hand had already split), I finally figured out if I turn the water on BEFORE I "go", it has time to get warm enough not to hurt. I hate wasting so much water... but.

Man, what do all of you northerners do?
