DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Okay - here goes a 2nd poem (Just typed it all and have to re-do it cause it went nowhere! ) I am toiling with sending some on to a friend who is a publisher but that is a way scary step.

Please give me honest, constuctive criticism.

I wrote this with inspiration from my Grandparents who lived next door to each other from age 4 & 5. They never were apart and she always said he was her Knight in Shining armor...her prince. He saved her when she was trapped in a dysfunctional home and I will forever love their romance and hold it up to my life as a picture of what I would want for my own. If only we could all be so lucky.

Carry Me

Carry me to the time when I will wear your ring
Where fireflies dance and the crickets sing
Carry me far from the home in which I reside
Where shadows haunt and tempers hide
Carry me in your strong arms of love
Where safety surrounds and passion cries from above
Carry me to a glorious, wonderous place

Heather....Jay (jaycns) had this done during her trip. Refer to her trip report--which is now in completed reports--and pm her if you need to. My dinner at Coral Reef (medium rare ahi tuna) was fabulous but no one else in our family liked what they had. We were seated on the back wall right by the kitchen door and service was pretty spotty. In restaurants the managers usually put the newbie servers near the kitchen which might explain that. Make sure you're in the front row right by where they put your sign up and you'll be fine.
Shannon! A lot of us were single when we were your age! You are NOT a loser....we're just older....OK, we're not all older....I'M OLD! There!

I have a question....I would love to attend the Peeps meet but if I can't....can we still order shirts? I think it would be fun to support the walkers by having mini walks. I could walk at the MOA the same distance you guys who go walk. It would be a symbol of support - kind of like the breast cancer walks they do on the same day.

Great news Fidge! What about Dawn, any results yet?

I just got home. I got good news and bad news. Let's start with good. My MRI was fine, no surgery for me! Bad new - I have what is called SI Joint dysfunction. The doctor said it would be a lifetime thing. I will go to Physical Therapy 3 times a week to start with and she will teach me exercises to do daily at home. He said my life would have to change. No heavy lifting or doing activities that require a lot of twisting. Right now he does not want me to lift anything heavier that a gallon of milk. My laundry is heavier than that! Then he told scary stories about his patients that have this and how when they didn't keep up with the exercises and did not listen to him, they ended up on disability and in lots of pain. Anyway, I am still processing this. I will learn more when I see the physical therapist - she specializes in this type of pain.

Then to top it off, we go to pick up my DS at school and his teacher tells me that his President project is due today! I remember seeing this assignment like last Monday, before my life went a little crazy. For some reason I thought it was due next week. And DH has been doing the homework. I work with her so she knows I have been out of commission. She told me she has only taken off 10 points so far! So now I have to go do this ridiculous project. My DS is in 2nd grade, they are suppose to read books or encyclopedia's about a president (you know those encyclopedia's that are on a 2nd grade reading level ) then write a report with topic sentences and supporting details then make a poster and prepare and oral presentation! Are you kidding me? She told me he could type it or write it!!! So guess who will be doing this project! Along with an assignment I have due in my class! They moved the smilies again! Insert flame angry guy! Vent over!

Hope it all goes better. Look up things on the interent and then let him put in his words as you type. Remember 2nd grade does not have to be long. Just get the main information. Be sure to go to PT and do what they say. Good luck.

GO! We had ADR's for Coral Reef but at the last minute I changed them and had AWFUL gamey nasty steaks at the Concourse Steakhouse instead.... Because I caved to DISpeer pressure and have regretted it ever since!!!! Before my trip I heard nothing but bad stuff. When we got back, I heard nothing but good!!!

PLEASE go!!!! Just DO IT!

I also LOVED BOMA and Wolfgang Pucks (in DTD) in case you want some really good tried and true, Guaranteed to rock your socks!!!!!! Just dont give toddlers Zebra Domes (if you got to Boma, that is...actually Norah was VERY good after that!)

Just stopping in to say hi to everyone. I hope that each of you had a great day. I walked two miles at the YMCA earlier and I probably won't be able to get there the rest of the week. I can't get a good pattern established because of the crazy weather that we continue to experience. In fact, the freezing rain and ice has just set in. UGH.
On the bright side, Spring is just 35 days away. Yippee!

This confused me too, at first. Then I realized I wrote it! Thanks Winkers! I would love to do a hot bath. But dinner to cook, laundry, dishes, DS's project, my class assignment (forgot it was due tonight!), you know the endless mom list!

No Fidge, my maid hasn't started yet! And to make matters worse this is the one night DH will be out late - so I am on my own. On the way out he was telling me not to over due it! (this is a sarcastic ha ha). I have my computer sitting on the kitchen counter so I can work on DS's report while I cook supper. My hip hurts and I want to cry! Sorry, I am having a really bad night!

Thanks for all the encouragement! Tomorrow is another day!

I had a great dinner and so did DS at Coral Reef. DH dinner was so messed up but I learned that the server is no longer there. It was pretty funny but pathetic. He got all of DH's order entirely wrong! Mine was great I lvoe catfish and it was terrific. Ds was fine too!

WE have ADR'S for DS birthdya dinner. It will be fun to see DH's face!! Anyway a great gal there reassured me that DH will be fine. If not we will have swomething else to alguh about DS and I oppss shh don't tell but Dh is really Grumpy only taller!!! He goes nuts over his food things!

I am confident Stacey you get a go to heaven directly do not pass go and do not collect the laundry! After foot surgery and I cooked meals well in advance I was home 30 minutes and DH could not find anything that was well marked IN BIG BOLD letters. When I went back to Doctor he was surprised to notice my sticthces split! He could not understnad what could ahve happened?? Didn't I stay off my feet?? YEah right buddy, Mom's know NO such luxury unless there is a vent tube and they are under sedation!

Well, it was icy this morning so I left early. I get a call telling me that her cell phone is in my car. Then, a few minutes later Grumpy calls and I find out I also have all of Tori's bus tickets. So, Grumpy has to take her to school and she has to buy more tickets (min $25).

Then, I call home, I just looked at caller id.. 7 times.. (am I OCD or what ) No answer. So between 330 and 430 I am worried about the girls. I get a call from MIL, they are with her. Tori had to stay after school and Dani said she was locked out. So, I guess my stressed out feeling ahead of time was warrented.

Anyway, glad to be back at work. I have to walk 2 blocks to and from so that will help with the weight loss.. .

Melinda, Eeyore, and Stacey - I know that being single isn't bad and that its totally normal to be unmarried at my age. I have just started thinking of being single as a negative thing because I've been single so long I'm beginning to fee unloveable (in that way), not had good luck relationship wise on the whole, and getting alumni magazines with so and so getting engaged/married/having a baby really make me feel like I'm in the minority even though I know I'm really not. Oh, my little myspace friend is on my friends list. It should be on the first line of friends and his name starts with a "D". You can see his profile pic but his page is set to private so thats about it. Still - its fun to snoop!

DizneyDawn - wow, what a beautiful poem. I don't really have poem expertise but it sounded (and read) lovely. I think you should definitely submit it somewhere!

Fidge - Glad to hear the Dr. report went well!

Stacy - for no surgery but for the rest! I know it will be hard and take a lot of getting used to but in the end you will only be hurting yourself more if you don't try to follow doctors orders. Try to take it wasy when you can or maybe modify your routine a bit so you're not putting as much strain on your hip when doing your usually stuff.

Pigget - Coral Reef got a from me. I used my 50% Cast Member discount there and had a great lunch. Blackened catfish with jalepeno cheese grits. And the chocolate wave for dessert .

Ok, this better go through. You should see the notes I have in front of me. Looks something like this: Melinda, Eeyore, SPoppins = single = bad = mad; pigget reef; spoppins = dr. hip. How I remembered what I wanted to say (and mananged to do it twice) is beyond me.

My day has gone well. My dinner was very yummy tonight. We had chicken marsala out of a WW recipe magazine with whole wheat egg noodles. Grand total for dinner is 8 points for all of that, which is more than I like to spend on dinner, but this was restaurant quality if you ask me.

That's it for now. Off to reconnect with my high school friend, get ready for tomorrow, and then watch my guilty pleasure, The Hills on MTV.

I have increased my calories slightly, I didn't go absolutely nuts on cheat day, and I have been exercising. I hope I see results on Friday. I do feel good about what I am doing though.

Sorry the girls had a crazy day...it will get better. They will soon learn they are more responsible than they give credit to themselves.
Side note -
Treyner's 1st week of Jr High was spent calling me and listing off things forgotten. On day 5 I nicely explained the night before that I would be more than overjoyed to bring his things to school from the next day on and find him in his room at school to personally deliver the missing items. Of course strong emphasis was placed on the fact I would be adorned with fuzzy bunny slippers, curlers and a pink fuzzy bathrobe. Somehow, he has managed to remember things 99% of the time now. I don't know why...I look hot in those slippers!
