Ok have dliema for this evening DH and DS are going to my fav restaurant to get dinner tonight as it is family game night! I really LOVE let me stress LOVE their calamari. It is lightly dusted with some batter but oh sooo yummmm!!!
I really wnat to get it!!! I thought if I have a huge salad and drink 10 gallons of water then I could get the appetizer portion instead..........HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say eat the appetizer! This is my take on dieting - I may be wrong but it has worked in the past. What I am doing with my family is a lifestyle change - not a diet. Diet = hunger, frustration, feelings of failure. Yes, diets are good for quick weight loss and we all want to lose weight. But if we change our habits and drink lots of water, we should lose one or two pounds a week which is healthy. I never do well on diets where I feel like I can't eat any of the foods I like. We just have to learn to eat small amounts. You can eat the calamari. Should you eat the calarmari, salad, steak, potato, roll and dessert - no, not a good idea. I want a plan that I can do for life and that my kids can do for life - not just a few months.![]()
Came late to the thread... gonna have to come late to the weigh-in. My weekly weigh-in is on Mondays (to coincide with Jan 1)... I very strictly have to limit myself to once a week weigh-ins... otherwise, I start compulsively weighing MULTIPLE times within a single day. I don't want to go there again so I'll just have to be your mid-week entertainment.
But congrats to all the losers, samers, and barely gainers!

I am so sad I missed Glitterfest '07 last night.
I think so far it's 25 1/2pounds gone so far. It would have only been 24 if it weren't for my huge 1 1/2 pounds lost!!!!! My slump is hopefully OVER!
I'm SO skinny! What I find "funny" is my weight loss is now 15 1/2 the same as Twinkie who is teeny and probably lost 3 dress sizes losing 15. Me being the Glamazon Warrior Princess only has slightly loose jeans to show for it. I still have at least 30 to go! I lost 1/3 of my goal. I think I'll start looking at the 5 lb. incriments to achieve my hefty goal!

Keep going it will come off.....to me 153 pounds sounds like heaven! I know that we are all different shapes and sizes though. Next week will be a better week!

It is hard to look at weights-I haven't posted my weight but I weigh 143 lbs.But I am "bigger" than Dragonfly(except for where i would like to be bigger![]()
).She is tall and I am NOT.My happy weight is about 130 lbs(not sure because this is the first time I have gained muscle) and I have NEVER maintained my GOOD weight.That is partly why I got so sick last summer and had to have my gall bladder out.Anyway hope some of this made sense-it isn't all about numbers.
