Just wanted to say - if you are not listening to the DIS crew out in California live on Sunday nights on Mixlr - you are missing out.

I WAS a WDW fanatic prior to visiting DLR this past September. My allegiance has shifted.

I am now a devotee of the original park.

Pete gives those out in CA (Tom, Michael, Mary Jo) a forum. Please listen.

18 months until our first DL visit. Had planned on starting to listen to the DL show after the holidays so that I have plenty of time to familiarize myself before our 2017 trip. Maybe I should start even sooner.

I've listened to some - though I've gotten so used to watching the other shows on video that just listening sometimes is harder for me.

The 7-in-7 the two groups together did were great overviews of both the parks and hotels - so that is good place to start

Also, the series Micheal has done with Craig "Connecting with Walt" are phenomenal

I have to agree, MaxRebo - I'm "spoiled" with the video editions, since that's how I started (and got hooked!). Plus I haven't been to DL in years (and probably won't go for many more, maybe even never again), so just find WDW-related stuff more interesting, even though I think Tom and his Team certainly do an AWESOME job. But I also did listen to (and VERY much enjoyed) the Connecting with Walt series, and can't wait for that to begin again in Jan. Maybe eventually the DL version will go video, and I might have to tune in once in awhile. :)

I have a confession: I cant listen to the group DL podcasts because one of the podcasters kinda grates on me. I know that's horrible, but I just cant. I really want to love it though.
I love Michael's Disneyland at 60 episodes as well as his other history segments, those alone have made me want to go to DL more than I thought I would. And having Tom and Michael on the 7 in 7+ episodes was great too, they know so much about the parks over on the West Coast.
Perhaps if I could watch, it wouldn't bother me so much.

Don't feel bad Jes! Everyone's mileage may vary however I don't listen to the show for the same reason ;)

Another huge huge DL podcast fan here! I started with the audio versions of the Orlando podcasts so that's not a problem for me. In fact, I don't have the time to keep up with all the video content the Orlando puts out every week as it's much easier to listen while I'm doing other things so the DL version has become my podcast of choice. I think the team has a great rapport and I love the variety of types of segments they do. Michael's history segments are a must listen-to for any Disneyphiles. I also love the Day six segments as California has so much to offer and this is a great way to learn about the different options. Actually, a trip to San Francisco is on the short list of possibilities for our next vacation because of all the talk of the Disney Family museum.

A warning - it can be a very expensive podcast to listen to though! As an East Coaster, I'm going to WDW every year no matter what. DL was never supposed to be such a frequent travel destination for me - I'd been twice in the past five years previously - but then I went twice in the past 12 months! I planned a trip out for the D23 expo and the 60th anniversary special additions after listening to the podcast. DL has totally captured my heart and listening to the podcast every week has me constantly calculating when I can get back there!!

Me too Jes so you're not alone there at all and I'll leave it at that.

I also agree that Michael does an AMAZING job covering anything and everything Disney history related and he's such an awesome asset to the Dis team. He's really helped in getting me excited for my May trip to DL.

Jes, I agree about Michael's segments. There is something about his presentation that I absolutely adore! He makes everything sounds so fascinating. I have scoured the archives for all history related segments and when he covers the Family Museum.

Wayne also did some DL history segments and I like those too, there just isn't very many.

Listening to their show REALLY makes me want to visit DLR. And I have no idea when I can get out to the West Coast. We can afford take short, cheap trips to WDW, but my sister in France wouldn't speak to us if we spent the money to go to the west coast before we get over to France to see her. So, it's safer for me not to listen right now. But I really admire their hard work, and all the different types of segments they do...really cool.

My plan is to start listening to the past DL podcasts as soon as I have listened to ALL of the past Orlando podcasts. Actually, I have listened to many of the early ones, because they are in the Orlando show's feed up until 2012. And I don't mind listening, because I have to listen to the pre-video podcasts. It gives me something to do while I'm working.
