DIS Radio

Thanks for the update. I haven't been on the boards much in the past few weeks and this morning I logged in and looked for DisRadio. I searched and found this thread. I am saddened to learn of it's demise but understand.

You know...we take things for granted until they are no longer available and then we miss the hell out of em'. Thanks Pete for the free Disney music all these years. :flower3:

Corey, I think you would find that you have a more than willing and hopefully ample group of people willing to pay an annual subscription fee for this service. If you said that with the current number of listeners, the annual subscription would be $50 per year. My check would be in the mail today. If advertising doesn't completely cover the cost, you might consider exploring the subscription rout.

Can you make the channel available to premium Live365 subscibers only? I believe that would bring in some money to pay the royalties. I know Mouse World Radio 2 is a premium (or VIP) channel. Cost for the listeners is between 71.40-95.40 per year depending on the billing cycle they choose. Just an idea Captain.

Thanks for looking into options to keep DIS Radio going. I love having it there to listen to whenever I need a little bit of Disney in my life.

I'd rather pay a subscription fee than listen to ads, but whatever you have to do will be well received by me.

I agree, I'd rather pay a subscription fee over having ads. There are several Disney music stations I don't bother listening to beause there are just too many ads. Ads would be okay is they were just a few, maybe hourly, but if they were after every song or set, I would rather pay the subscription fee.

I'd prefer ads to a subscription fee, but I'm a cheapo like that. I'd pay a small subscription fee if I had to do that, though. Wouldn't blink at $20. Would blink at $25. Would grumble at $30. Then I'd say, "The hell with it. Isn't worth that much."

But that's me.

I may be late to the party, but can you access it through the iphone app? F-stream is atrocious for dropping out, so much so, that I no longer listen.

BTW, I just tried to go on Mouse World Radio and the system was "full". I'm guessin' that some people might have made the switch when Dis Radio went down. Guess that means Mouse World Radio will be getting a bigger bill.

Unfortunately, the ETicket app does not have a DIS Radio feature.

Problem being, people have already paid for a subscription to be a pro member on live365. And really there's no way on live 365 to addon a subscrition atop that one, unless disradio goes pro only. that will curb the listener problem, but not the revenue.

This is so sad!! Thanks for all you have done Corey. I've never been a member of the forums before only a dedicated listener until I read this!

I looked at other online Disney stations and they seem to exist. I've also mixed in Sorcerer Radio in for a good Disney World fix, so for listeners looking for the next best thing I highly recommend it!

Again DIS rocks and Im so sad to see it go, as is my family! But thank-you for many many magical memories!:worship:

This is horrible!!! I listen to a lot of different Disney stations, but Dis Radio was my work-day fix. Guess i will go with Radio Disney or Sorcerer Radio after non-d-day.

Thanks for all of the hard work that went into the station.

I've checked out Sorcerer Radio a few times before and it's a pretty good station from what I've heard so far. Still missing my Dis for sure but it will help ease the Disney need.

I just wanted to let all of the DIS Radio fans know that we are keeping it on air, but we're asking for donations ($19.95) to keep the cost of running it to a minimum. Please help out if you can. http://www.wdwinfo.com/disradio/

Thanks for your support!

Woohoo! Happy to see Dis Radio continuing!
