DIS Radio DIScontinued?

For those missing DIS radio, there are good alternatives- I like Sorcerer Radio, and all the Mouseworld stations are very good as well.

Sorcerer radio is really good! They just had a few contests as well and were giving away prizes. (I did not win)

It is still working for me on iTunes. Hopefully it will continue to work and won't be discontinued.

I'm sorry Kevin, but I don't recall that discussion. Can anyone point me to the podcast where you guys talked about the DIS radio going away? I do recall a couple of times when you guys encouraged everyone to listen and also threads about how to get it on the Iphone, but I don't recall a thread or discussion about it going away. This really took me by surprise.

That being said - I am still accessing it right now directly from live 365 for now. yay!

Thank you Pete and Corey for clarifying. And I certainly was not trying to come off like I thought it was my "right" to have the podcast just because the detriment of it wasn't mentioned on the podcast. I'm sorry if my desperation came off sounding that way.

If it ever gets to the point where the podcast or boards aren't worth it, then someone might have to stage an intervention with me.

It's still playing on iTunes.
It will be a sad day when this is not possible anymore.
The music is so relaxing, and commercial free. I know for some other stations on sites such as live-365 they play commercials which interrupts my disney mood.

Not that it matters, but how did you get it on iTunes? I never found it...had to use Live365.

Under "library" in the iTunes sidebar, you should see something called "Radio". Click on the "Radio" tab, then you will see a bunch of different sections of Radio stations, if you click on "Top 40/Pop" scroll down until you see DIS Radio, the stations are listed in alphabetical order. Double click on the DIS Radio, and you are good to go.

hey, it still might not be discontinued. did you not read that post from webmaster corey? he said they are still trying to justify the cost and find a way to keep it open. so as of now im still listening to it. lets hope that it can stay up. id be willing to donate some money to keep it going. i keep it running almost 24/7 in my dorm room. its the only thing i listen to!

I took Corey's post to mean back THEN they were looking for ways.

I think it is still running just because the actual plug hasn't been pulled yet...

ohhh i see what you mean. i reread his post and i get that now. that really makes me sad. isnt there ANYWAY they can keep it going?! the other disney radio stations just cant compare. ive looked at them. and they are cool, but they arent DISradio. there has to be someway to keep it up..... =(

ive looked into those and they arent bad, but they just arent DISradio. i loooove DISradio. it played the right songs at the right times. i just loved it.
