I'm just waiting for the water to come back on. Can you believe we're at a hotel that the water was off from 11PM to 5:30AM????

Once we picked up Chris's dad from the airport in SF and stayed the night , the hot water heater broke and they did not notify anyone…yuck

Yes, they did tell us when we checked in and we got a message on our phone, just disconcerting that if we had "needs" in the night we could only flush once each toilet!

It does. But I'm finding that not as user friendly.

Mary Jo visited the Aussie boards the other night and gif-ted me with this new avatar. I was really touched by the gesture. Do you like it? I'm going to wear it for a while to see how it settles in. I've been going round as for so long that this one feels different.

I made up my own tag as I'm sure PIO did as well. I'm not.sure if the Tag Fairy exists in this new interface.

So....I've been playing around with some of the settings this morning.

And I've gotten to the one in Your Account>Preferences.


Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...

• and receive email notifications of replies

I did click on the automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply one....and now I've got a whole bunch of "watched threads" automatically added to my "Watched Threads" list that I didn't want. I was happy to just wander into that subforum and comment but I forgot that I had turned on this function.

*sigh*

Looks like I'll be spending some time "unwatching" them next time I head in there.

In the meantime, I'll just be prepared for an overload in my Alerts box. I think I might go seek out the Alerts function and see what I can turn on/off there next.
