Dis Mom's Club?

Congrats on the 20 years.

The only time we did WDW without kids was when we did not have any.

We did the segway tours at Epcot. You will love it. Be sure to have the camera available for a picture of two. The helmets are oh so sexy. :rotfl2:

We have talked about the segway tour at the camp ground but have not had an opportunity to do that. We also wanted to do the horseback riding but that to will have to wait.

Hi! I'm Angie, DH Jeremy... We have 4 kids - dd, 14; ds, 12; , ds, 4; ds, 2. We love traveling and Disney is our favorite spot although I havent convinced DH we need to go every year yet.... We've been 3 times with our 4th trip in may/June. Our kids are excited. It's the first trip for the toddlers!

Oh I'm a nurse and love all things Goofy ;)

Welcome!! :wizard:

Welcome Angie!

And thanks for the advice...I knew Dismoms would have some good ideas. When I told a non-Disney-loving friend her reaction was almost shock...
"Why would you even THINK about going THERE for your anniversary??"

So yeah, we're looking forward to it!!! I think we're only going to visit Epcot. Really spend our time checking it out.

I know the hardest part will be leaving the kids for 5 days. We have never left them with anyone else overnight before!:scared1:

Thanks for the welcome!

We would so go to Disney for our anniversary. I actually was telling DH that we should go this fall for our 15th anniversary and he was like - that could work. Our problem is we have a older kids who are very active and finding a time that we wouldn't miss something is almost impossible. So we have to take short 2-3 day trips. I guess we could miss a game, but it just isn't our thing to be gone from them.

Ok, I read about this on a different thread, and did it with a friend on a girls only trip, and it was fantastic! It would be great for an Anniviersary trip as well.

I thought it would be a hassle with the separate ressies and checking in twice, but it was SOOOOO worth it!

If you want to do lots of fancy dining and tours, you can pay for the platinum or premium dining plan to be added onto your hotel reservation. It is a dining plan, so must be added onto the entire stay and is about $180 (premium) or $230 (platinum) per person per night in addition to room and one day admission(sounds like A LOT, but keep reading to see how to make it worth the money). Book a separate reservation for ONE night, preferably NOT the first one you arrive or the day before you leave...you will see why in a minute.

Starting when you check in and ending @ midnight the day of checkout. You get to eat 3 meals(at ANY restaurant for 1 credit) plus 2 snacks and a refillable mug. Plus you get tours, such as the segway tour (11 tours are available, but not all of them) at Epcot. You get shows, such as LaNouba. You get recreation such as golf or private golf lessons, or parasailing. Horseback riding, fishing excursions, carriage rides. ALL included.

When we did it, I did the Animal Kingdom tour, Dinner @ Le Cellier, The Segway Tour @ Epcot, Parasailing, Lunch @ Contempo Cafe, Private golf lessons, Dinner at Yachtsman Steak House, then LaNouba. All from Noon one day to Midnight the next day.

Platinum plan has even more perks...LIKE the Richard Petty driving experience, and free spa service, fireworks cruise, photopass CD, and photosession, reserved fireworks seating.

Book your room only res, then in the middle book ONE night of the premium/platinum dining plan, then the rest of the stay on your room only res. Check out/in as early in the morning as you possibly can to activate your tours/etc (book them in advance) then do the same thing the next morning (don't forget your tours/meals are still good til midnight) and since you still have the same room, you won't have to pack/unpack...It works out great!

Most of the tours start early in the morning, so to take advantage of them, you have to get going early! And you want to get the most of your money, so you want to use your day (really it is 2 days if you work it right) to the best of your ability. Also...Dinners are more expensive, and you can eat ANYWHERE you want on only 1 credit, so plan accordingly...use your credits for sit down dinners and lunches, pay oop for breakfast and cs. Richard Petty fills up FAST so if you plan to do that, plan it way in advance!

After all that typing, I just figured out how to put in the web address:lmao:

Thanks for the info...now I need to study it for a bit....:teacher:

My husband has been posting pictures of our children w/ the princesses so you would think. Nope, it's all about princess chest sizes.

I feel your pain. My DH does the same thing. My poor son is "famous" for his picture with Jasmine when he was 1.

FYI we have been infiltrated by the dads.

That seems awesome but I don't know if I'd be too exhausted to do enough to make it worth my while !!

Hello ladies. I don't know if you are still accepting new Dis Mom's but if so I would love to join.

I’m Lydia (27) I used to work for a dental insurance company but now have my dream job of stay at home mommy. My DH is Joel (27) He has a master’s degree in elementary Ed but currently works as a social worker with young kids. We both became Disney obsessed after our Disneymoon in 2008 :lovestruc

DD6 is Emma or Em. She loves soccer, Tinker Bell and anything with Justin Bieber's face on it. Sometimes I think she is closer to 16 than 6.

DD2 1/2 is Jillian or Jilly. She loves Woody, Buzz, Mickey and has recently become a huge fan of Belle and Cinderella. She can be such a sweetheart but is also very stubborn.

DS (coming soon) is Noah

We are planning to take them on our first family vacation to WDW next August.

You will always be my princess.

That is a great picture too. Although, my Jasmines were more gifted.

I think our spouses have too much time on their hands.

Welcome IMADVCWANNABE!!! Piece of advice regarding your husband..Keep him away from the Disdads!! He will never get any work done at home or at the office. The Disdads are like crack; one try & they are lost forever.

I just saw your son's pic. Advanced for his age, huh?
