So exciting about your son starting school "alone" and with no tears!
I anticipate a similar experience next week. My dd has been counting down to Kindy since she was two.![]()
Suellen, Jack, my son who started school today, will be 9 in a few weeks, and he's been wanting to drive for at least 4 years! He loves getting in my lap when I pull in the driveway and "steering" into the garage! Oh, and he's got a shoe fetish! Don't know where he got that from...hmmm! How fun it'll be to see your DD experience her first day! I hope it's a tear-less success!![]()
Good Morning Ladies!
We are trying to decide what to do for the holiday weekend. We found out on Wed. that DH has Friday off along with Monday, so first thing that popped into my head was DISNEY!So for the past couple of days we've been tossing the idea around, but are still really conflicted. Should we stay home or should we go?!? It is about a 13 hour drive there and back and that is really the only issue we have... And really the drive there isn't so much a problem, its the drive home! UGH its just soooo long! LOL We can afford it, so that's not an issue. Most of the time I'm all for going, but then I think about just relaxing at home. SO, what would you ladies do?

Right now is a "We're gonna GO" moment, so I'll be calling DVC once they open and see if there is anything available for this weekend!![]()
Howdy Dismoms! Hey, I love the siggy thingy! Thanks Suellen.
Today while DS10 was getting his haircut, the stylist asked him what he likes to do for fun and he promptly said....."We go to Disney for fun." then proceeded to tell her every detail about our last trip! Ending with.....
"I'm gonna be an Imagineer when I grow up. They have the best job in the world. They create rides and attractions, movies, characters, stories... everything Disney. It'll be so cool!"
I just sat in my chair with a grin. I'd love my son to be an Disney Imagineer!!
I would do it!Actually, we will be going up there for 2 nights this weekend to celebrate my DS's birthday. It's nice to relax but I can't ever pass up Disney.

Ok, so there is NO availability for ANY rooms at DVC!!!But we can get a room at the All Stars (AP discount) for $68, CBR for $116 reg. room or Pirate room for $138 or we can get a room at the Dolphin for $112 through Expedia... I'm leaning toward CBR since we are used to DVC and was counting on the fridge for milk and stuff for breakfast. And DH has really wanted to stay at a "beachy" resort. Now I just have to find out what DH thinks.

just found this thread!
I'm Jenn mom of a 4 yr old who was 10 1/2 weeks early!
I'm a Disney addict and so is my hubby and parents! DD is getting there!
DD starts preschool on the 7th and goes the 7th and 9th then we go to Disney until the 25th! Her teacher laughed when we said she will be there for 2 classes then gone for 2 weeks.
This will be years 3 for us with free dining! We're hoping to do bounceback! We have stayed at POP all three years. When I was pregnant in 2006 we stayed at AS Sports.

Jenn, my DD4 was 12 weeks early, so I can relate! Now she's an extremely active 4yo who is at this moment bouncing off the walls of her room...and she told me in no uncertain terms that 61 days left until our November trip is just way too many days for her to have to wait! Have a fabulous trip!
We had a great time in Kentucky. We spent sometime in Louisville and Bowling Green. We have a goal to show the kids as much as possible before they grow up and leave home so Kentucky seemed like a good place to start. Far enough from home but close enough that we can drive it. In fact, it was the same distance to go to Louisville as northern WI and we live in WI. We want to go back to Kentucky when the kids get older as we found other fun things to do in the teen years.
