You go to get a check up and a female Doc is asking you to turn and cough?

If she is good looking does it bother you more?

It only bothers me if I inadvertently become hot and bothered myself.

And then it's horrible, grave embarassment at the cost of a cheap thrill. Okay, I'm rotten... pirate:

It's usually a race between the two of us who blushes the reddest. I noticed a female doc's hand seems warmer than a male Doc's hand though.

Do you seek out male doctors to do this? Or just whoever you get, you get?

make a difference to me. I had a women Dr for years.

If I happen to get a female doctor while in need of that kind of checkup, I'd prefer her to be old and ugly.

For insurance purposes.

gee...just hope that it doesn't move....:earseek:

I've never had a female doc for that procedure ... not sure how I'd react. This and the bend over the table and "relax" procedure are two of my most hated ones.

i've had to do it. I felt the same whether it was a male or female....a bit embarrassed over having to show my naughty bits.

Now you know what we gals have been going through for years. Not fun. Then during childbirth you've got nurses, aides, doctors and other people coming in "seeing how far you've dialated". By the time it's over you wonder if there is even a janitor in the hospital that hasn't seen your "stuff". My sis in law who was due to give birth asked me if it was ok for her to wear a bra under her "gown" (while in labor) because she would be embarrassed. I told her that when she checked into the hospital to leave modesty at the door but the end result (baby) would be worth it.

My Doctor is Female, but she's never asked me to cough

She just has that same look on her face :earseek: :earseek:

Doesn't bother me at all. I have a woman doctor for a reason.....shorter fingers.

You guys crack me up! Dh and I had a discussion about it; which is why I brought it up. I was telling him about the VS thread and we started talking. Anyway, I prefer a male OB/GYN and he was saying he is more comfortable with a male doctor for these types of check ups!

I was just curious if most guys felt this way.

Guess what - i've to go and see my lovely Doc on Friday for a full check-up :earseek:

Can't wait

My SO says it doesn't bother him, just as long as she doesn't laugh before she asks.;)
