DIS MEET UPDATE: August 19 at 3:30. Info on 1st post

Just watching to see who plans what when & where.....

Will hit one of the meets IF it works into our schedule.....as it is I feel like I have a lot of park juggling to do with our ADR's...... I hate ADR's.

I wanted to go to the Owners Locker wine evening thing on Tuesday the 18th and just now realized that was the only day I could get a ressie for the Fantasmic package so that won't work out either. So I am afraid we will be stuck in HS for the afternoon / evening on the 18th (it's a 3:40 ressie of all of the crappiest times). Darn it. I keep calling just to see if anything else has opened up for it but nothing so far...I think the free diners have gobbled up all the ressies.... Don't know with the schedule cutbacks on F! if I want to stand in line for it or keep the ressie. Not sure what we are doing on the 19th...have a lunch ressie at Tusker House as that's an early open day for AK and we usually leave AK after lunch for a pool afternoon.... Jellyrolls would be out for us with DS12....

We'll be there from 8/24 - 9/1 and would love to be part of the meetup if it falls during our visit.

Okay...what's the Owners Locker wine evening?! Is it every Tuesday night? Where is it? Do we need special "credentials" to attend? Also, are the Welcome Home Wednesdays at Boardwalk or did it move to another location? Lastly, does anyone have any more info on the Jiko tour? I saw on the Restaurant Board that they do it every day at 4pm...anyone done it?

Unfortunately, I can't make Welcome home Wednesday as I was able to get Le
cellier ressies at 4:15 that day(only dinner I could get there). otherwise I'd love to do that. But willing to do something after, and definitely want to do Jellyrolls. I just wondered if they still have the movies on the beach at beach club, and when they are. That might be something for families.

Congrats on your ressies at Le Cellier! I wouldn't give that up either! I'm guessing that movies will still be played at BCV. Don't they generally start around 8pm or so? That's when they started in march, just not sure in august.

We wanted to get into the fantasmic package too at Mama Melrose, but it never worked out...My wife and i haven't gotten the Dining Plan till our last trip. We can see the savings, but don't like to plan all of our activties around eating. We'll be on the dining plan for this trip as well, hopefully it will still be just as relaxing. and i agree...the free dining has made it more difficult to get adrs.

Well, it looks like we may have a few DIS-Meets going...that's a good thing.
One on the 18th at 1:30, Boardwalk Poolside,
looks like there will be one at JellyRolls too I won't be able to meet there, but i'm glad others will be able to get something together. Perhaps someone else would like to head that one up.

I like everyone's ideas as to different ways for all of us to meet. Looks like the BCV/BWV area is our spot to get together. I like Debi's and Faline's ideas about extending the stay for other events, coming and going between WHW, BCV movies, and JellyRolls. As everyone's plans become more clearer we could get more specific as to specific locations and stuff. I'm still seeing the 19th as being the proposed date., but, if you can't make it then, Another DIS-meet can be started up. The more, the merrier...and TAKE PICTURES everyone

Been away for a few days - just catching up on things ! Do they still do WHW at 4pm (or is it 4:30pm)? We have 5:45pm reservations at Jiko and the kids are going to the Kids Club. We'd have to give ourselves enough time to get back to AKV and get ready.

Jellyrolls is 21 and up.

I'll be there the 14th-21st.
I'll be with my dd and her friend so could do a family meet during
the day and of course I'll be at Jellyrolls at night

Hmmm, may have to stop by JR with my eldest dd one night!!! We're at BW from the 16-21!!

That would work for us. We have Sci-Fi ADRs at 6:30, so could fit WHW in...would be nice to say hi to everyone.

Ok...

Dis-Meet on Wednesday, August 19th at 3:30, in front of Atlantic Dance Hall (Welcome Home Wednesday).
I'll probably have some type of green on, even if it's one of those hawiian shirts or something.
That way, those that need to leave for dinner can, and others can stay for WHW if they choose.
I'll be there for both the meet and for WHW...I cannot make jellyrolls, and i would like to see the movie at BCV, depending on the movie anyways.
I'll have 3 family groups with me.

Meeting at 3:30pm before Welcome Home Wednesday works for us. We'll probably stay for some (if not all) of WHW but if we have to cut out a little early at least we'll have met up with everyone beforehand. I don't think we all own anything lime green though - I'll have to check on that one!

Well, The Dis-meet was nice. We met a family or two, plus a few other Disney Enthusiasts (sp?). It was nice to get to know a few people we meet with online.
We will be here next wednesday as well, so, i may possibly set up another dis-meet. If i do, i'll post another thread.
