DIS Meet Dec 8 07

I just got back from 10 nights at Pop Century. I really like it there! We often have vacations where we don't go into the parks, although this wasn't one of those vacations. My friend and I spent every waking moment in parks, and that's not the type of vacation I usually have with Jim! I need a vacation to rest up from this vacation, although I won't get one.

We have a short trip to WDW coming up in about two weeks. I plan to come home tired!

what a cute dog!

Randy and i leave tomorow for pop century for 2 days. It will be our first stay at a value resort (making up for the four days club level at the boardwalk back in february) but i hope to be pleasantly suprised.
My goal is to not go into the parks, but to do the stuff we never get to do. Like mini golf, blizzard beach, pleasure island and maybe rent a boat. Both of us have birthdays in May so we look forward to celebrating.
I really want to plan another cruise, but after how much i managed to put on our room key I think I scarred Randy off cruising for the rest of the year.

I hope for everyone up north that it warms up soon!

I just found out today that my DDIL's fertility treatments have been successful at last. They've been undergoing all kinds of therapies and treatments for more than two years. Tomorrow morning they hope to find out exactly HOW successful. Without giving TMI, there were four viable eggs....! This will probably mean that my plans for another December cruise will have to wait a year, since this will be a high-risk pregnancy (gestational diabetes) with a bed-rest component and I'll have to do "stay-at-home" duty during that time. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers while we make sure that everything is going well. I'll keep you posted!

Yeah you're back!!! I'm so glad you had a good time even though you're so tired. Make sure to post some pictures!!! Congratulations for you DDIL!!! I hope she doesn't have a difficult time with everything. We will keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

We had a great time, the weather was great until Wednesday, the crowds were non-existent, which is the good part about going just before a holiday weekend. I'd love to go back in December, but I have to wait and see how things are going before I make any plans for that. My DDIL is at the doctor right now, so I'm waiting to hear what she has to say when she gets home.

We leave tomorrow driving to Atlanta. Our first stop is Annette's Mom in NC and then in Atlanta Thursday afternoon. We have a big shindig in Atlanta until Sunday noon then ......


We're going to Disney World! It's only for 5 days but we are staying at the AKV in a Savannah View room. I know it'll be hot and crowded but it's Disney World .... who cares?

She went to the doctor on Monday, and there is definitely a "pregnancy mass" in there, but they were not able to determine exactly how many little individuals are in there. She will be going for an ultrasound each week until they find out, and then they will begin the rest of the pregnancy management. She and my DGD went to visit her mom for a couple of days until she gets used to the whole idea!

Once she finds out how many, we can begin to consider our various housing options. The house we live in now is a lovely house in a spectacular neighborhood, but doesn't have enough rooms and has only one bathroom. However, after a long chat with the landlord this morning, he has decided that, if we want to stay there, he will do some remodeling for us to add another bath, two extra bedrooms and a kitchenette upstairs in our suite. This can all be done just by rearranging some interior space. We also have two other homes to look at this week, so I think I'll be a busy woman!

I'm still working on the trip report and pictures. My home network has been acting rather strange this week, so I need to check some settings and then get those things posted.

Yea!!!! Congratulations Grandma (again! ) Please give her our best. Make sure she DOESN'T watch Jon & Kate + 8. Emily and I watch that show and she views it as a what NOT to do when you are child.

I don't have too much of Cole's baby items left (I gave them to my sister). But, when the time comes I'd like to send your DDIL some items for the babies.

I had been waiting and waiting (like a few hundred other DISers) for the November and December hours to be posted on the WDW website. They were both finally posted today. Yea! However, I had already called and made my ADRs this morning. At least there weren't too many surprises in the hours and EMHs. So, I am keeping the reservations I made.

San Angel Inn - Epcot (dinner)
Crystal Palace - MK (breakfast 8:15 am. Okay, we are going to try this again. Hopefully, we won't oversleep this time. At least I know we won't oversleep for CRT (8:10 am) in September because Bill prepaid it. )
Chef Mickey - CR (breakfast)
Mama Melrose - DHS (lunch)

San Angel Inn and Mama Melrose are new to us. Has anyone dined there? If so, what did you think?

The only one I have to call back and make an ADR for is T-Rex the new restaurant in DTD. They are not taking reservations for it at this time.

We have been to San Angel for lunch on numerous occasions, and we really liked the food. The ambiance is wonderful also.

We have also been to Mama Melrose for lunch several times and have really enjoyed it. They have this pasta dish with chicken or shrimp in a cream sauce that I really like! DD liked the chicken parm, and DS liked the pizza . Dessert is yum too!!

Well good news for me, well I feel that way. I gave my 2 weeks notice at Staples!! I couldn't take it anymore!! Whenever hours needed to be cut, I was always the one. I felt that I was penalized cause I was a mom. Iguess if I had classes I would have been treated differently. So, I gave my notice today! 11 hours a week doesn't do anything for me.

I am trying to find an temp office type job, and I may look into sub. teaching. Either way, retail is gone!!!
