DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Also, the Savannah Views at AKV will be affected by the construction for the next 15 months! I'm so glad we just changed to BCV! I got this from DVCnews.com:
Wendy

Wendy:

:goodvibes Thank you for all the great information! - Jennifer

We didn't rent any equipment this time while we were there. I think my son and granddaughter may have rented fishing equipment while we were cruising, I'll ask them when I get home and let you know!

Marrakesh is our second favorite restaurant at WDW (after Boma). We try to eat there every trip. We enjoyed the food and Jim loves the belly dancer. OTOH, my daughter-in-law was not impressed at all by the food. I guess it depends on what you order. Beth

:goodvibes Thank you Beth! Bill read the menu for Marrakesh to me the other night. It sounds yummy. I can't wait to try something new.

- Jennifer

Wendy & Jasmine, have a great time in Korea and Japan. I can't wait to read all about it.

:sad1: Sad News :sad1:

My niece (my little minnie mouse I showed off a few months ago) is very ill, she has been running 104 since Sunday and they have done every test on her imaginable and just can't find a way to help her. If everyone can please say a prayer for her tonight I would very much appreciate it.

:cool1: Congratulations!:cool1: We sure could have used an "authorized" Disney TA for our last WDW and DCL trip. The TA that took over for our TA knew NOTHING about Disney.

- Jennifer

I have used AAA for our WDW trips, adn they do know nothing. I go in and tell them exactly what I want. They always say, jokingly, you want a job?? LOL. If I didn't get perks throught them, I wouldn't use them.

Well, now I won't have too!!

Congratulations on the TA! I'll PM you shortly. Maybe we can arrange to share a cruise after the summer/fall busy season here at the office.

My plans are all set for May. We'll be arriving on May 15 and leaving on May 24. We're staying at CBR. The Doll and Teddy Bear Show will take up most of our time on Friday afternoon and Saturday, and we have some receptions to go to with some of the exhibitors on Sunday. After that, we are going to be two wild, free, post-middle-age (I don't think I'll live to be 112!) women on the loose at WDW for a week, including celebrating two birthdays (hers Thursday of that week, mine Friday). We'll be having one birthday celebration at Raglan Road, and we haven't decided on the other one. I can't wait!

If anyone's going to be there during any of that time, let me know. Id love to see you again!

Beth

You guys are gonna LOVE Ragland Road!! Dh and I went there in August, wow! There food and service were incredible. We were doing DDP, and after eating there, said we would do it again, even on our own. You are going to love it!! It was our date night dinner, we left the kids at Simba's clubhouse that night.

If I could fit it into my schedule and budget I am game :)!!

:grouphug: and prayers!! Can it just be a virus?? My DD and DS run very high fevers, and they can for a week. It's just what they do. We give them kiddie motrin and then kiddie tylenol... Motrin first then 2-3 hours later the tylenol. That's what our pediatrician always recommend.

Are there any symptons other than fever??

Robby and I will keep everyone in our prayers. Hope she gets better!!! :grouphug:

I look forward to some Disneyland Tokyo photos :thumbsup2

I'm still working on a "scheme" to get there and Hong Kong. :3dglasses

We're getting excited! I hope 2 1/2 days at Disney will be enough, but we can't go to Tokyo, and not spend at least 1 day touring the sites!

My plan for Hong Kong is to do the ABD China trip in a few years! :cool1:

Yes, I'll send prayers her way. I know how scary that can be, as Jasmine used to get 103-104 temps frequently when she was a baby. But the motrin - tylenol - motrin protocol that Merryl mentioned really works well.

Let us know how she's doing. :grouphug:

We are also getting excited about our cruise to the Baltics in June, as we're finalizing our plans for St Petersburg. We booked a private 2 day tour with a couple we met on cruisecriticdotcom, and will be able to see everything that was on our "must see" list.

I rented a DVD set from Netflix "Russia: The Land of the Tsars" which is excellent! It was done by the History Channel, and really makes the stories come alive. It was really cool to watch it and say "Hey, we're going there!" when they'd show a famous site.

I also ordered a book of Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales to read before we tour Copenhagen.

Jim and I went there in Oct of 2006--right after we finished the free dining, but it was awesome anyway! My friend who's traveling with me is a blast--you'd love her. Jim says that he won't pay the bail money if we get arrested after going to Raglan Road!

Don't forget to take (and post) thousands of pictures! I can't afford that trip yet, but it's on my dream list for after I win the lottery!

Stefanie:

I'm sorry to hear about your niece. We will keep her in our prayers. We wish your cute little Minnie a speedy recovery. I remember that photo.
