DIS Meet Dec 8 07

I didn't know anyone HAD dial-up anymore!!! :lmao: I feel for you. I think if I had to wait on dial up I would do a load of laundry between posts!!

We can only get dialup at our house. :sad2: It does take forever to download anything! :headache: :surfweb: Waiting....waiting....waiting...:surfweb:

Sorry to hear about the Cowboys Bill!! :sad1: I was really pulling for them, especially that last few minutes. Between the penalties and the interception at the end, it was just too much. Hey! I know!! We'll just blame Jessica Simpson, like everyone else does!!

Sorry too Bill... But I'm happy that the next game will be played 160 miles from my house. Go Packers!!!

We have enjoyed tent camping over the years, but I really am enjoying my own running water now! :lmao: I do understand!:thumbsup2
After my tent camping experience last month, I think I'm cured of EVER doing that again! There comes a point in life when you just need things like running water and real, solid walls. Next time we'll take a pop-up camper and the younger generations can stay in the tent;).

Happy Monday, everybody! No snow here today, and that's a good thing!

I'll be back later. Somehow, a ton of paperwork appeared on my desk over the weekend. The boss must have worked on Saturday again!

:sad2: Sorry to you too Robby. I know you are a Cowboys fan like Bill. Bill was so miserable after the game. He is a BIG Cowboys fan.:cheer2: He did play Halo last night to blow off some steam. I know that made him feel better. :rotfl:

Bill is off again for a Manager off-site this week. So, I'm alone with the kiddos all week. Emily already claimed Daddy's side of the bed. So, I can expect two feet in my back this evening.

Will is almost done with his homeschooling for the day. Then, we can have some fun. :cool1: We didn't bring his books along on our trip in December. I added a little here and there and got him back up to speed. I don't want to be homeschooling in June. My goal is to have him completed by early May. Then, he can have a "normal" summer vacation, except for keeping up with his reading.

A friend of mine asked us (me and the kids) over for dinner last week, her husband was in WA too. Her brother was staying with them from Croatia. He ended up making some yummy homemade pizza for dinner. I know Bill wished he were there too. So, I made him homemade pizza Saturday night. The kids and I also went to Dave & Busters last week to play. They had a blast! It was their first time there. Usually we go to CEC. But, D&B was closer to where we were at the time. Mommy had fun too. I NEVER win at those claw machines. I won THREE TIMES! :cool1:

I'm off for now. Time to make some lunch. Plus, Will is now done with his schoolwork and wants to go online real quick to do Webkinz stuff. We have created monsters with those Webkinz. :scared1:

Everyone have a great Monday, if that is possible. :flower3:

I know Bill was hoping a Packers/Cowboys match-up next weekend at Texas Stadium. Maybe next year? Good Luck Jason! :cheer2:

Okay Merryl, Bill liked you onboard :lmao: I am kind of glad it is all over because Bill didn't save up his money for Super Bowl tickets ($1,000 EACH!!!!). There's always next year. :rolleyes1 Being originally from MA, I have to root for the Patriots in the Super Bowl now. Good thing my Dad and I didn't make any Cowboys/Patriots bet. Last year we bet him on who would go the farthest in the play-off. Needless to say, we sent him some Omaha steaks and lobster. :sad2: We gave him a Starbucks giftcard when the Pats beat the Cowboys. One of these years we'll beat them. We're optimistic. What else can we be? :upsidedow

I talked to Bill after having to call his room directly. He has no cell service where he is. The resort is way out in the country near a lake (Texas Hill Country). I guess now he knows what it feels like for Brack when he's in remote sites. At least he doesn't have to use dial-up. He would have drawn the line there. There would have been a mutiny of Microsoft employees. :lmao:

Yippee I just booked another trip! I'd cancelled our N. Europe cruise on Princess for June a few months back. Well I decided I really do want to do it now. I found out that Princess is offering a military discount in late June. The itinerary is almost the same, but this one includes a stop in Berlin, which I've been wanting to visit. :cool1:

But WAIT, there's more.....

I'd received my Disney Visa last August, and noticed after I got it that the interest rate was 0%. I figured it was a 6 month introductory offer and didn't think much about it, since I usually pay my cards off in full each month anyways. Well until I got add-on-itis, and bought more DVC points in Nov and Dec. I knew I had 6 months to pay off the points, but when I called today to find out when the regular 0% interest expires, I found out it's not until August. :yay:

Sorry to hear about the Cowboys Bill!! :sad1:

Our son was home from Dallas that night and my Chief Accountant is also from Dallas. Even JoJo was wearing his Dallas jersey (I'll have to post a photo). Everyone was sad. :sad2:

It is really funny that you can get high speed internet :surfweb: in some of these places but no cell service! :confused3

We'll probably have to wait until satellite phones become affordable to get service everywhere.

Congrats! :cool1: Where else in N. Europe does the cruise go? We know you'll have a blast! Wish we were going with you. "One of these days", I have to keep telling myself. I know we can't do everything right now. Bill and I were talking about Berlin the other day. They have a huge chunk of the Berlin wall on display in one of the buildings at the MS Headquarters. If I knew when I was younger what I know now, I would have gone with some of my friends to Berlin when they tore the wall down. I was living in Belgium at the time. I chose to stay home. Silly me. :sad2:
