Just keep downing the water Joanne, that is what I am doing too!

I think with salads, unless you make it yourself, you end up alot of times with high fat stuff in them.

The other day I was out with the kids, and I stopped to get them a happy meal to eat in the car while we were running errands. I was going to get one of the grilled chicken wraps that they have now, and it had more calories/fat than a hamburger did.

Jenna that's terrible, you wouldn't think that at all.

BTW...I went to Curves last night and am going tonight...

how about you?

:woohoo: You're my hero!! Keep up the good work!

On a side note, do you have twins too? Boys? Girls? Both? Mine are boy/girl- Luke & Lilly :goodvibes

They are my gkids, a girl and a boy. Keyanna & Shawn, 7 years old.

I did my power walk this morning with my weights.. My arms are sore. LOL! I think I forgot to tell ya'll that I lost 1 lb. last weigh-in. I really thought I had messed up really big over the weekend. Although I do have to say that I was having healthier snacks then I usually do. :rotfl:

Tonight I'm cooking chicken. I'm so hungry!!! LOL! I think that I am going to start planning my meals out for the week instead of trying to come up with things on the fly. I used to do that before and it cut down on the grocery bill. Anywho, I hope that ya'll had a great day! MuffyJo, keep drinking that water!!! ::yes::

Good for you Tammy! I am going to have to make it up, I can't be two down!!!!!

That is great that you did your power walking Wendy!!!:yay: :yay:

I have been planning my meals out by the week, it makes it easier, and you are less likely to eat something that is not so great for you, if you know in advance what you will be having!

I just finished supper and I am at 22 points.

My mom watched the kids at my house today and she made a chocolate cake. I made her take some home with her. I gave Scott a huge piece (equal to 3 pieces) and gave the kids each a piece. There is one peice left and it is about 3in x 2.5in. I am about to eat it. I have no idea how many points it is...probably 10-15 :confused3 but oh well - there's no turning back now.

Kelly it is hard to turn down homemade cake, especially when you didn't have to make it! One slice will not hurt you.

Kelly, you've got flex points. :goodvibes

As you know, I'll be gone the next few days. We're going to even leave the computer home. So I won't be on to check in til Monday. I hope everyone has a great weekend and while I can't promise I'll stay on plan for the weekend, I'm not going to go overboard and I'll be walking. ALOT.

See you on Monday.

Fruit smoothie

This is the perfect cure for anyone with a sweet tooth. Amazingly, even if you don’t normally like fruit, you will probably still enjoy this blend of fruit, juice and yogurt. It only takes a few minutes to whip up in your blender and is a cool and refreshing treat during a hot, summer day.

Flexible Fruit Smoothies

2 very ripe frozen bananas
1 cup 100% fruit juice
8 oz fruit flavored low-fat yogurt
8 oz frozen berries

Cut the bananas into large chunks and place in blender. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth. You may need to add more juice or cold water. Makes 4 1 cup servings.

That is a great recipe and everyone I have served it to enjoys it.

I have cut calories and fat from the recipe by using non fat plain yogurt. I also put in splenda and a fiber supplement. I have tried adding other stuff like ginseng and such but it really alters the taste. I also use pomegranite juice and include blueberries with the berries for the awesome antioxidant properties. I find if the berries I use are frozen, it is good to defrost the banana or the smoothie is too thick. Basically you need to tinker with it until you come up with something you like. Some blenders are more tempermental than others and you need to add the fruit slowly.

I just got the Girl Scout cookies I ordered a month ago and gave them all away.

Good job, Joanne! Now, go have a big glass of water to celebrate--oh, and maybe a victory lap around the block while you are at it?!

We like to put flaxseed in smoothies too- flax has Omega 3's and since I won't cook or eat fish, that's good. It's also supposed to boost your energy.

:faint: Good for you. I certainly did not give mine away but I will say that most of them are gone already :rolleyes1 Honestly, mostly Ryan, he will sit down and eat a box at a time :scared1:

Today I decided to wear a suit a have been neglecting because it was a bit snug. Well, today, it is not snug! It may even be a bit loose!

I think I will take that box of GS cookies out of my desk drawer and put it in the conference room. It will be gone in no time! Thanks, Joanne!

I did pretty good today. Although I didnt get breakfast in. I had to take the moment to run to the grocery store before DH had to leave for work. I did have left over spaghetti (sp?) though and then a banana.

So far so good. :woohoo:
