So we are now four weeks into our diets, and isn't everything going really well, we've lost tons of weight, we've got no cravings and we all go for 5 mile runs everyday - aren't we good ??? - err NO !!!!!

Back to the real world

I did really well until the weekend, DD had her birthday party on Saturday and we had a big Birthday cake from Asda with a picture of her with Reindeer Pluto on it and she's had enough chocolate to fill a sweet shop - so I just can't help myself (I'm going to put it all out of sight today)

Anyway I'll stop waffling on, I lost just 1lb this week, which takes it to losing 9lb in four weeks

i lost 1/2 lb this week :confused3 bit gutted as i wanted to loose 2 1/2 to reach half a stone !!
im off to a spa for a day on thursday so that might do me some favours!!

Well done to both of you at least you have both lost weight instead of staying the same or putting any on :banana:

I have lost 3lbs this week which means i have now reached my first big mile stone of 1 stone :banana: :cool1: :cheer2: I am so pleased this is the most i have ever lost on any diet :cheer2: I hope to loose another 1 stone 12 lbs to get me to my goal of 11 stone :Pinkbounc

Well done Mandy, Natalie and Michelle - You are all doing brilliantly.

I have wimped out this week, due to my weekend away :) Back on the diet today though!
 

I am struggling with motivation at the moment - has anyone got any good tips please????

think about why you want to lose weight, all the things that annoy you about being overweight, and then think about how good it will be WHEN you have managed to lose the excess. always talk to yourself as positively as possible, telling yourself how much better you feel. you can have anything you want to really but remember that a healthy option won't linger on your hips or tummy but that chocolate or chips or kebab most definitely will!
if you are feeling hungry think about that positively as your body is having to feed itself off your fat stores once the food supply in you stomach has been used, so those hunger pangs are actually a good thing! also take a drink of water or diet juice etc as we sometimes mistake thirst for hunger.
for all those who posted weight loss well done! a trick to make you think about the ACTUAL amount overall is to take the same amount of weight in sugar or rice packets and carry them around for a little while then it seems more real!
always try and remember that you are doing it for yourself and that you are worth it! if you have a day where you didn't manage to stick to your plan then put it behind you and go for it the next day.
remember you are important and that you can do it.

Well done everyone on your great losses. I managed to stay the same this week which is good considering the weekend I had, one of those ‘all you can eat jobs’.

Karen :hug: I am hopeless, when I am not in the mood I find it hard to diet. Try setting yourself little goals rather than one big one. Have you measured your bust, waist, hips etc as even if you aren't loosing pounds you may be loosing inches.

When I get on a roll (pardon the pun) I'm fine and can lose lots of weight. I'm just struggling to get on that roll!

I know what you mean, I done really well last week, this week nothing, nothing off, nothing gained. This time last year I had lost over a stone and a half in 6 months, 2 stone in total after 12 months, how long did it take to go back on...not long enough. I just cant seem to find it in me not to eat the things I know are no good for me. I think it's my age :rolleyes: , well thats my excuse. :rolleyes1

Off to celebrate my quiz win now with a bar of chocol....sorry I mean Apple.

I lost 4lbs this week which Im really pleased about. Im not very confident about this week as I've already been away in a hotel on business where I was attacked by a bottle of white wine and a sticky toffee pudding. I'll have to put extra effort in at the gym just to stay the same. Oh well, onwards and downwards (the scales that is).
Congrats to everyone on their losses and good luck for this next week.

er not a slimming consultant but someone who has taken a lot of years to finally decide that this is it I WILL LOSE the excess! I lost another kg at this weigh in!
I do have alot to lose but am setting myself small manageable targets as this is what works for me,next one is to lose 1kg in a week as i see my gp then so there it is another manageable goal!
So far i have lost the grand total of 15kgs and i can hardly believe it myself!
I feel a whole load better for it too, obviously as i get nearer my ultimate goal then it will probably get harder but i will have invested so much by then that should give me motivation to continue.
keep it up everyone you know you can!

Definately struggle more at weekend's. My weekdays are very structured but I never know what is happening at weekends.
