I had my first professional color and highlights today-- no more Miss Clairol for me!

I am happy with it but after getting home and really looking at it I have Polka Dot!! A spot about the size of a pencil eraser of the light color where it obviously shouldn't be. And it is really in a noticeable place.

They guarantee the work and I know they will try to fix it if I go in tomorrow, but I am wondering if it is worth it? Can something like this be fixed or will the cure be worse than the problem?

I assume they will just take that area of hair and lighten it all? But will that affect the already lightened "spot"? Or will it look out of place? She was so meticulous in getting just the right amount of hair to highlight and making it even.

I did this to myself once - when highlighting my own hair..

If they guarantee their work, I would at least go back and see what they might be able to do to repair it.. If it was in a hidden spot (underneath), I wouldn't bother - but you have nothing to lose by at least having them look at it..

Good luck! :santa:

Yeah. If you couldn't see it well I wouldn't worry about it, but even DH noticed it--so you know that is bad!! :teeth:

Well look on the bright side - at least it's not baby blue like mine was the time a "friend" tried to do my whole head a very light blonde..:scared1:

It should be fixable without a problem.
I'm glad you went to a stylist for hightlights.:thumbsup2 How did you cut your hair?

Well, funny you should ask! I got a bob. I wanted a chin length "bob type" with a side part. I am certainly interested to see what it will look like when I can style it myself She did a lot of round brushing and so it is really not a whole lot different than my FB photo, just to the side and shorter.

AND IT LOOKS LIKE MY MOTHER'S HAIRSTYLE!!!:scared1:

I wanted something a bit more modern with straighter ends, not just turning under like some bad Dorthy Hamil throwback. I am going to let most of my bangs grow out but left a little bit to hide my ugly forehead.

I had it dyed back to my original hair color and then she put in medium blonde highlights. It is really a lot lighter than I probably want in the future, but it isn't a big deal (except for the polka dot!).

I will see if I can find some pics of what I wanted vx what I got. I don't have any actual photos of me yet.

Here is the photo I took in:

This is about what it looks like right now:

This sort of Pouffy round ends and cut

but about this length:

And FYI, that child image is a stock image I found and I have to say, she looks a heck of a lot like me when I was that age--- INCLUDING the hair!

I think that once I wash and style it myself and either use my natural curl or try to straight iron it, I will be happier with it. And the color is great! But at this point anything not gray makes me happy!:thumbsup2
