**DIS Girly Weekend 2010** ~ IT'S OVER :(

And Joh - I hope you are getting over your cold and are feeling better today. You can have a hug too

I too am in a bit of a flap I woke up this morning, with a mouth full of blood (sorry - that's probably a bit too much information ) and to find that a tooth that I was getting an abscess in had basically exploded (that's a bit of an exaggeration, but that's what it looked like!).

Didn't know what to do, so I just hoped in the car and drove an hour to my dentist and basically just camped there until they saw me. They patched me up temporarily, but I have to have what's left of the tooth taken out They also said I needed to go on antibiotics - which meant no alcohol....I nearly fainted!! But they said I could start them on Monday, after the girly weekend!

Bethan, I know how you feel - I had a tooth out a coule of weeks ago due to a massive abcess so you have my sympathies

Mandy, sorry to hear about your Mum - very glad you're still coming though, it would definitely not have been the same without you

Claire, I hope Bailey is well enough to allow you to get away at the weekend, I am looking forward to meeting you

And to anyone else I may have missed, hope you are all well and looking forward to seeing/meeting you all.

Oh, and I made an executive decision and cancelled my hair appointment today - and also somehow managed to dye my roots ginger. So hopefully that will give everybody a good laugh and cheer you all up

My eldest dog had 6 teeth out yesterday and was feeling very sorry for herself when we picked her up but she's eaten her breakfast this morning and seems much happier today. Best of all, her remaining teeth are all clean and sparkly!

We took her in as an emergency last night as she couldn't open her mouth, it's got some ridiculously long name but basically they think her immune system is attacking her muscles. For now we have been given a weeks worth of tablets to try and reduce her inflamed throat and then take her back next week to see what happens next. Obviously if she deteriorates or stops eating & drinking then we take her straight back in.....so fingers crossed she doesn't get any worse.

Oh my gosh, we have all been through the mill Big hugs all around

I will be there on Friday, wild horses won't be able to keep me away, I'll just miss travelling down with Nat, Joh & Nicky, and the vino at Joh's too (maybe there'll be some on the train trolley )

Oh dear what a nightmare we are having! I am sure we will all be deserving a few extra cocktails in TGI's....purely to get over the stressful week.

Thank goodness you can wait until Monday before starting your tablets Bethan....what a punishment that would be, watching us all get drunk whilst sipping your glass of coke. Hope your tooth is better soon.

I have today relieved M&S of 3 bottles of kir royale and 3 bottles of bellini which I will sneak into the hotel I don't think they will notice them shoved up my jumper- just think I had a very bad **** job
