Ok, it is official, I really have the attention span of a gnat at the moment and this might well be an insult to all gnats. So I got my tools and supplies out to make the jewellery for Saturday. Bracelet - done, necklace - in production, earrings -ah earrings, small problem. I have not actually got any gold fish hooks. I normally never work with gold plated findings. The reason why I am doing it this time is that I accidentally ordered gold plated split rings last time round. So I decided to have a go, especially as this goes perfectly with a dress I own. I remembered to get gold plated jump rings and toggle clasps, but forgot the gold plated fish hooks. So I either have to see if I can get some later today or just use Sterling silver fish hooks.

I'm sure the silver hooks will be fine, Corinna - you could always change them at a later date...

So as I posted on FB my pampering didn't go to plan. Turn up at the Spa and its been closed own for not paying its lease!

Managed to get a mani and a pedi somewhere else (so it is now ok to look at my feet) and my eyebrows done, but no haircut or facial.

YIKES!!! That's must have been a bit of a shock... Well done on getting your toes sorted - I was worried I'd not be able to control myself and end up staring at your feet for most of the weekend!!

I'm back from having my hair cut. Hairdresser was quite impressed with my efforts but her work is definitely superior.. So I've lost even more locks but gained lotsa layers. Fingers crossed this styling muppet can recreate something approaching acceptable...

I have been dreadfully negligent of the thread, but I have been checking in on you during my lunchbreak to see what is happening. I hope everyone feels better, Joh with your cold, and Mand your poor mums foot, I also hope the pets are doing well.. Claire what a nightmare at the spa!! Karen I can't wait to see your locks..

I am very ill prepared, I got my hair cut last Saturday, but because its so short at the moment it looks just the same! I haven't had time to get my nails done so you will have to look at my bitten stubs lol. I've just pegged out my pj's and thats about as far as I have got.

I do have a rough idea if what I'm bringing and have the day off on Friday, and will be excited and up with the lark so can pack then. I need to pop to Asda tomorrow night to get some vino, and then I shall be good to go.

Me too Mandy. I refuse to believe that Summers on the way out It's the Bournemouth Air Show next week and the weather's been really hot for that the last couple of years.

At the moment the weather's very changeable down here, hot one minute and miserable the next. It would be nice to have a hot weekend but I'm sure we'll have a great time no matter what. Off to get our train tickets tomorrow for Sunday

Thought I'd better check in to let you know I'm still in the land of the living. You've managed to post about 30 pages in the time I've been away! If I had to place a bet, I'd guess you've been talking about the gorgeous clothes you'll be bringing (I don't have a thing ) and what we'll be drinking. Am I right, or am I right?

So, I suppose the only crucial piece of information I need is: what do I need to bring? Everything else will sort itself out, I'm sure.
