DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

I was probably the culprit. there was a "who's taken a back 2 back" thread and I mentioned that being in an empty pool was outstanding. I added a pix or two to prove - as some kept telling me that the pools were closed.

PRAYERS :grouphug: Steve and family! Oh my gosh. SE I thought I told you that you were officially excused from any more crisises.

Plane down in SD was not close, about 15 miles away me thinks. Sadly, they found the 4th person today (a baby no less). I can't imagine the father's pain of the torment of the pilot. If the pilot had gone 1 or 2 miles west, he would have hit one of our most popular malls.

More Christmas shopping tomorrow. If all goes well, I should be half done by the end of the day.:scared: When is the cut off for mailing things? I have to mail to bro in Hawaii and I suppose I should send these things I bought to peoples back east.

I have a couple at the bar on the first day:

The only pics I have at the pool are from our "port day" not our FIRST day! Betsy - I don't see you around at all in any of them!

I see Miss Phyllis in this one with RJ & somebody else in the way back. Not sure who's sitting on the back edge (maybe Anne):

I don't know...but I hope it's like the 20th 'cuz I am still waiting on stuff to arrive that I ordered, then I need to re-package & wrap & mail!!:scared: But ummm...prob. not the 20th to Hawaii. I would try to get that bad boy out by the 15th. I gots to get my BIL & new SIL's stuff out like ummm...today by priority mail. They are in Kansas City, MO but are going on their honeymoon to St. Lucia from the 15th - 20th. Then his date to ship out to Iraq has apparently been moved up from Jan. 16 to Dec. 26!!:scared1::sad2: Oh, and then there's cards....must work on those....darn address labels lost in computer crash...:headache:

Good Morning Everyone (it's Linda)! Sorry it's been so long since our last post, things have been a little hectic around here.

Sue Ellen, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Also sending lots of :wizard: !

Trying to get Christmas picture of the whole family:santa: , complete with our Santa hats, but trying to get the boys to both look at the camera at the same time while smiling is proving difficult. (Especially when dealing with a timer!)

We hope all is well, take good care and Sean will be back to posting soon!

Big :grouphug: to all of you!

Linda!! How are you feeling??

I can appreciate the timer thing..only it was the dog that wouldn't look straight!

Ok, I have a gripe. WHY do I look 6 months pregnant in that picute? That was the beginning of the cruise, I hadnt pigged out yet.

So, my flight went on time today. Why didnt we go today???? I have so much to do but for now the nails are wet and I cant do anything....so Im monitoring the stupid flight, torturing myself. I have boarding passes at least! :thumbsup2

Good luck with the picture, Linda. Nice to see you around too!

We are having a dreary rainy day...it is so dark out that the street lights are on already.

So I wrapped BIL and new SIL's presents today & boxed 'em up & went to the P.O. to mail them and get stamps for my cards. :scared1: Because the box I used was considered "oversized" it cost me like $20 to mail it priorty mail!! I used priorty 'cuz of their honeymoon next week & him shipping out the day after Xmas...but HOLY SMOKES! Oh, and BTW Phyllis...I asked about the mailing deadline. She said if you plan to use regular mail the deadline was the first week of December!! Priority mail is USUALLY 2-3 days but it CAN take longer. MEANWHILE, I asked if they had any openings over there & they said their hours are being cut!! The POST OFFICE!! Cutting hours at CHRISTMAS!?:scared:

OK, so I was gone to the P.O. for like 20 min. and I came home to a msg. for a part-time job ad that I had answered last week at Coca Cola. She had called last week to do an initial pre-screening and had said it would likely be after the 15th before they scheduled any interviews so I was surprised she called back so soon. It is a little further away than I would LIKE but not TOO bad...about 14 miles. That can be dreadfully far tho on a rainy day like today. She said her commute was 2 hours this morning. Rush hour in these parts is just dreadful which is why I had hoped to stay under 10 miles. The pay scale that she quoted me is a good bit less than what I have made in the past so that's not good, but we ARE getting a bit desperate here. :headache: She said the hours would be flexible (between 20-32 / week) so that could be cool. Being a part-time position it doesn't include any sick or holiday pay or medical benefits or anything.:sad2: So it is far from being the perfect job...but I have an interview scheduled for Friday morning. Since the only thing I like about it are the hours I am afraid I will not come off at my best. It is hard to get pumped up about an interview where the only thing going for it is that it is a paycheck. So we shall see - I suppose it's better than working retail. I haven't received anything else from Unemployment yet about the latest 7 week extension and my benefits were exhausted the end of Nov. Since I have YET to convince anyone that I AM THE ONE THEY NEED TO HIRE it's still pretty much a long shot.:rotfl:

Hang in there and GOOD LUCK Annie!!

Nope - not done Christmas shopping. Previously mentioned no Christmas spirit here but I am working on it. Just ordered MIL, BIL, and 4 nieces online AND had them shipped to MIL so I don't have to deal with them here.

Hhhmm...who does that leave??

DH - coal
FIL - DH can handle
StepDad - hhmmm....
Mom - did I get mom yet??
Nephew - DH
SIL - yikes thats a tough one

Maybe going out with a friend this weekend. We shall see. May do some last minute shopping when I get to my Moms so I don't have to cart things all the way down there. Still working out the details.

OK gotta run to a Site Council meeting at school. Must resign my position today.:sad1:

OK - countdown for Katie - good luck!! Will be thinking about ya tomorrow! What time is your flight SUPPOSED to be? I will keep my fingers crossed for ya!

WHO here is a Word expert?? I am trying to re-do all of my address labels and I hit something (with a fingernail I think) and I don't know WHAT key. So I don't know how to get rid of it.:sad1: It looks like that little backwards P thing that is used to represent a paragraph. It is appearing now on every freaking line! HELP!! I don't know what its purpose is but it's making me crazy. I even tried to close and start a NEW document and it's still there! So whatever it is it affects EVERYTHING I do in Word!!!! Help me puhlease somebody!!!!

OH! I've done that before. I think I had to click something at the top like on the tool bar to get rid of it. Hows that for techncial help? :rotfl2:

Flight 431 at 8:35, arriving at 11:46. I hope! Then I have lunch at Kona cafe at 1:55 and the Jellyrolls meet at 8:00. Sounds like a pretty decent day, huh? It would be nice if it worked out that way. ;) Right now it is looking like just rain for Boston, but ice and sleet North & West...and the worst of it seems to come in the afternoon and evening. I did hear the morning commute should be fine. Soooo, hopefully weather wont be a factor, or anything else for that matter. Im going to try to keep my FB status updated, so you can all come along vicariously with me. ;)

I wanted to try to give everyone a quick update. I know I haven't posted in a while.
Steve can use LOTS of prayers. I'm not even thinking straight right now, and this is one of those "what did I say" kind of posts...I can see it coming.

Anyway, he had an angio of his head today (which was scary enough because of the risks) and the news is not good. He has a blocked artery that goes to his brain.

I honestly don't know any more than that right now because we are waiting to hear from the Neuro doc. I don't know what, if anything, can be done, but it's serious. I know he's scared (he won't admit to it) but I WILL--because I am too. It's been a tough three days. He's still in the hospital, and I'm not sure if he's getting out tomorrow or not.

I had to step out for a bit tonight. He's really quite irritated and grumpy, and I've been trying to take care of him for the last three days non-stop and it has been tough. I know it's because of the uncertainty of what's going on, but right now....well, let's just say I'm at a breaking point too. I cannot stay strong, or have a calm face, or continue to say everything will be okay. I just can't. I just wish I could go hide under a rock and make it all go away. I don't like this. I don't like the feeling, I don't like the uncertainty, and I just don't like anything right now.

I know Steve can certainly use your prayers, so if you can say an extra one, please do. Maybe the Big Guy upstairs will listen if enough people bug him.

Whew....:sad1:

Sue Ellen-Prayers going up for Steve, for sure. It is definitely scary when the one you love is so sick and not being able to do anything. Just know I am thinking of you and praying for Steve.
